me too, although unlike probably most of the commenters here, I was a love struck pre teen fella in Nov 1980 when she was walking and being interviewed with the blue sweater and grey skirt. You are as bad as this documentary, making up things. France has doctors riding in their ambulances. They are the ones that are stabilizing the patient. They have to pull over if the patient has crashed to bring them back. That's how bad Diana was hurt, that they were pulling over every 5 minutes. Diana's heart was literally ripped from its resting place to the other side of her body. She would not have lived. It would have been impossible. If someone took a shotgun and blew off their head, it doesn't matter how fast you get them to the hospital they're already gone.

Why would the French do that? My own and my families experiences of the French medical/health authorities are second to none. They are excellent. You do realise they were trying to keep her alive by massaging her heart in this time? Do you really- in all your wildest dreams - think the French wanted Diana dead? And why?

That means if you are to have any success at saving someone from a critical accident, you have an hour (roughly) to get them to definitive care at a hospital for immediate surgery.
