RIP to Miss Cary, who died this week at 101, who once earned $1 million a year and worth $4 million at age 10 (soon squandered by her parents), and whose modest life ending in a nursing facility with GoFundMe account to pay medical bills. ~Peace now at last, great lady.

I can't even remember what I had for breakfast yesterday and this woman remembers what she was doing at 2yrs old!! What a memory!

This lady is the last link with a bygone era, the silent era. She has the lucidity of someone half her age and such a deep wisdom from her experiences from tolderhood onwards. Accolades to the interviewer for letting her talk and reminisce. What a lovely soothing voice ! She gives such a true and real insight into the often harrowing world of the child star. Fascinating information.

What a lovely, charming, gentle woman! She deserves recognition for all her contribution she made in the silent films and so much more!

Diana Serra Cary is absolutely wonderful, as an author, childhood actress, and perhaps the final spokesperson and living link to the era of Silent Film. Her books, "Hollywood Children" and "The Hollywood Posse" are outstanding reads. Cary's eloquence in her interviews only partly captures how she so personally writes about her peers in Hollywood during the Silent Era. In "Hollywood's Children" she discusses the trials and tribulations of child stars, from the late 19th Century to the mid-20th. Cary highlights the heightened responsibility and pressures put on child stars, leading sometimes to the tragic outcomes we are so familiar with. In "The Hollywood Posse," Diana Serra Cary gives a voice to the men whose story would otherwise be forgotten - the cowboy stuntmen and men behind the scenes of the Silent Era. I today looked up Ms. Cary after learning of her death 2 days ago. I had never heard of her. What a wonderful, charming, and intelligent woman. I am sorry I only learned about her today. I was sorry to hear she had been taken advantage of by her parents and a relative in early years but it seem she became very successful on her own in later live.

Loving old movies as I always did. I remember baby Peggy, acting. I thought she was quite cute and a smart actress. I'm glad to see she had a long life, and just recently died at 101 years old.She was very gifted ,and a lovely lady. R. I. P. Bless you. Great memories.

Silent film star "Baby Peggy".. just lost to us Feb 2020

I can't imagine being the bread winner of your family at 2 years old. And doing that for years. Plus I have mixed emotions of her sister. Yes granted as a child I understand the resentment. And the everyone blowing sunshine and rainbows up your siblings butt. And you get shoved aside if she's around. But as a adult long after her stardom had dimmed and they were both grown woman that seems foolish to blame her. Diane or Baby Peggy didn't choose that life. It was it was chosen for her. As soon as her money hungry parents heard that Hollywood was interested they pushed their kid into danger situations just for a paycheck. I'm so glad her second and third act were much happier situations for her. Rest in Peace!!!!

I so love her I wish I had spent more time prior to this getting to know her. What a rich legacy she has and leaves. It’s such a shame she had such a short-lived career but so many others did as well thank you for your gifts

The reason her career was short was for one reason alone was because her father wanted more money to squander and that made her blacklisted such a shame her parents cared more about money than their daughter no schoolng all work

She's written several books about the Hollywood cowboys (her dad was one), "Hollywood's Children" which is a history of the these first child actors. It worth finding and reading.

Fascinating life. What a lovely lady. Such a shame child actors are often discarded in such a cruel way. If anything their expertise on film sets and stage should be valued all the more when they grow up. The stress of realising that you may no longer support your family would be massive for a child or adolescent. Also the transition from silent fillms to talkies was brutal for some stars, it's really sad to think about.
