They have to respect their own fans. They have to make it seem like it felt similar. At least they acknowledged it felt weird for the other side to get cheered at a home game. I think the media has a lot to do with the drama. In fact i think the media wants the w to get more popular and are using anything that looks controversial. Honestly DT's comments before CC came to the league were pretty tame. They were almost a warning to the fans who expected instant gel of the team, to hang on itll get better. I mean she is now setting up her commentary role with SB so it is in her best interest for the w to explode. I feel a bit like the media played everyone and took advantage of the march madness. Including some players trying to make their name for themselves....

Exactly! Everything from DT was fine until that question 😂 Seriously, this game felt like a playoff match, and I've been watching the Mercury play, but they've never had an atmosphere like this. Plus, the crowd was cheering 'FEVER, FEVER' 😭😭😭. Another thing was DT's not-so-great response about Caitlin's impact on basketball. She said that when she thinks of Caitlin, she thinks of what she's done for the Fever. That's not true-when we think of Caitlin, we think of what she's done for basketball as a whole and, of course, Clarconomics.

It's not hard to find either. Phoenix averages 10k fans at home, 17k when the Fever visits so they have not been selling out like you said.

I saw the fever play vs our team and 1) they opened the upper section which is never open (tix 128) last row of arena - every other have - upper section not open for seating at all and last row second section ($27) and the crowd pro fever - honestly I think it is CC style of play that is so impressive - something about hitting threes from logo and her passing is amazing to watch - once they have more time to gel and connect on those passes - going to be amazing - love Boston too - she is great player that is going to really shine with help (Mitchell too)

Reality hit in the first 12 games, DT wasn't wrong. All the rookies felt it, like she said and they themselves have expressed it countless times. DT also had a great game, a close win is not a Blowout. These two ladies flat out lied about attendance saying every home game for them has been a sellout. Prior to today, the Phoenix Mercury have averaged 9,808 at home.... today's attendance with CC and the Fever was 17,071. Taurasi lied first thing she said, she said that they have been selling out all of their home games this year. Today it was nearly 18,000 in attendance their second best home game was a little over 10 the lowest was 7 . Indianas lowest home game is 16,000. What bitter jealousy! She said she loved the game. I saw her face she was mad the whole 2nd half, she is terribly embarrast and should be ashamed she doesn’t deserve to be on the Olympic team instead of Caitlin it’s obvious.

DT is and always will be DT. GOAT. She shows respect and loves the game. She gave props and it was truth and heartfelt. A game of runs. Fever getting better each outing, baby steps. CC brings a certain style, her passing is Birdesque. Boston keeps growing and Mitchell was on, after the first 5 min. Terrific win against 3 Team USA' ers!!! Dumbest move in all of sports, she just showed u what u will be missing- millions of fans tuning in- I won't. It will be another gold but a golden opportunity missed to add fans. DT's team lost but when interviewed, she showed her level of maturity. Her sportsmanship was inspiring. These women in the WNBA have been behaving badly towards CC and it's UGLY. No one wants to lose but it happens. Still, she acknowledged CC for the sensation she is, and stated, "She was nothing short of REMARKABLE." She gained my respect for sure! That's a true vet and someone I could respect...she said that even though no one else was giving CC her props. CC's amazing and a force to be reckoned with...no one can doubt that. Let's stop being petty...and grow the sport so that other young ladies could aspire to do more too.

People are extra happy over a regular season win these girls are veterans they don't care about that the game did not define anything they know what it is to be in the postseason and will ramp up. the fever played a good game and squeaked out a win. Phoenix made some uncharacteristic fouls down the stretch that costed them the game. the whole game was in their in hands they gave it to indiana indiana didn't take it. phoenix fumbled the win

I muted my phone to watch this press conference and i saw the gestures Diana Taurasi made and clearly she's embarrassed,upset and sad about mercury's outcome. This is even more embarrassing that persons have been saying she shouldn't be representing team the USA at the Olympics but Caitlin should. Keep your head up Diana.Think about sports broadcasting,coaching or something that involves basketball 🏀 where you can make money

This is very simple....When Caitlin Clark was 4-6 years old she was out all day and all night practicing different shots, dribbling with both hands, and playing in games against older boys. This is what 99% of the men in the NBA did coming up. The rest of the women in the WNBA did not take basketball seriously until they were either in high school and most in college. Before that they were playing soccer, softball, and maybe track. She is not an elite athlete but neither is Steph Curry. Through practice as a child and getting fitter than anyone else he turned himself into an all-time great. So did Caitlin.

Props to Taurasi and Cloud. True sportsmanship, they fought till the end and better team won in this game. Unlike Chicago or Vegas they took loss with their heads high, they didn’t bitch and moan or blame refs for it. some you win some you loose, you learn from it and move on. Love that this leadership brought male coach, hope Fever takes note. leave female petty drama outside the door and focus on game. This is type of game we love to watch, LEAVE politics outside sport!

You got humiliated today. When the Fever teammates get use to CC passing and can actually catch her passes. They will start killing everybody just like today they actually started catching her passes. The coaching had CC TRIPLE TEAMING and still could not stop her. Olympic players are hating this and the USOC getting major flack and loosing millions and they finding out she is for real.

Full respect would have been admitting that CC has helped bring in much needed revenue for the W, not just helping the Fever recover. I know it was reported they had been working on private charters for a couple of years, but when CC hit the W so did the chartered planes, upped merchant sells and packed stadiums. Not to mention people at home buying subscriptions to watch the W. I have to subscribe to 5 different networks to try to watch every team, and that still doesn't cover every game!

They should give credit to Indiana Fever too, they did not lose heart being down 15 pts. Came back in the 3rd and blitzed them with 20 point run all lead by Clark. Not only did they eliminated the lead they took over. All 20 points Clark either assisted or hit the 3. I guess you can say Fever had the younger legs when the game became quicker. No doubt she gained the vets respect now that they’ve played against her in an actual game. And please acknowledge that the crowd is due to CC. She’s getting you all a better league that would survive and not be on welfare from NBA.
