Why is this terrible ‘mother ‘ even being considered for parole when she hasn’t admitted her guilt ? Strange ..

For someone who is supposedly "intelligent" she's yet to understand the difference between famous and infamous.

Yet once again, it’s a conspiracy. Police, the FBI, foreign governments, they were all out to get this poor blameless postal worker. Woman, it’s simple. You tried to kill your own defenseless children & succeeded with one all for the sake of a man who didn’t want you. How after 37 years in prison (which she reminds everyone of ad nauseam), can you not have a glimmer of remorse or sadness for what you did to them? You’re right where you belong. Rot there.

I love how she says she doesn’t tell stories unlikely to be true then immediately tells a story about getting a letter from a German master code breaker at Rammstein airforce base

When she escaped from the Oregon Women's prison there was an immediate call chain to notify everyone who was involved in putting her away. They had no idea who'd she go after first. But they were worried about her coming for the kids. She only made it a couple blocks down State St. from the prison, shacked up with the husband of a cellmate. She wanted male attention, not her kids.

Her own daughter Christie said she SAW her mother shooting her siblings and herself- if anyone ought to be scared for their safety upon Diane's release it's Christie!

Wow. She is so bat chit crazy. Glad her parole hearing was denied.

The only thing she regrets is getting caught

Her cell mates are excited for her hearing because they want her gone...it is crazy how she tries to manipulate the parole board. Her own worst enemy.

She is a legend in her own mind....

If I was the FBI, I would have written her back and said.. "Lady you need to get in your bunk and go to bed and stop writing us letters, you will regret it"

It has been so interesting listening to Downs speak at parole hearings (and just in general) over the years. It's gold in terms of insight into the mind of a person absolutely devoid of any humanity, human feeling and human connection. She should never ever be released. She has no remorse or insight into her own behaviour. The gaping chasm between how she thinks a "normal" person responds, thinks, processes behaves etc.. and the way that SHE ACTUALLY responds, thinks, processes, behaves is so vast it will never ever be reconciled. She is absolutely lacking that quality that makes someone human. She's a monster and should rot in prison until the day she dies. No-one will grieve her. Oh and I feel deeply sorry for anyone who has ever been her cellmate.

Leave it to DD to convince the parole board that she’s still 100% insane.

I remember reading the book "Small sacrifices" when it came out. She is a crazy woman.

She does not realize that if she keeps denying her guilt, she is not going anywhere. She creates all these stories, and it is all smoke and mirrors. Please stop trying to parole her. She belongs where she is.

This thing has no remorse, will never be paroled.

If you go back and listen or watch her interviews before she was arrested, her interviews after she was arrested, her testimony during trail and her other parole hearings, she still speaks and sounds exactly the same. She blames everyone else for things going on. She truly believes what she's saying. It's so damn sad. She is where she belongs.

She very easily goes off on tangents. The doctor says “how are you” and she goes off with a 10 minute rambling speech about that question then back to the doctor saying she lives in a fantasy world. I imagine the chairperson forgot the question because I did! I don’t think he was referring to stealing pens when he asked about her criminal behavior.

Dianne should hook up with OJ and together they could set off into the wild blue yonder in search of the imaginary perpetrators of THEIR crimes.

Wow this parole hearing is just crazy!! The worst thing she done to her kids was taking them with her everywhere??!!! She needs to stay locked up - FULL STOP.

She sure loves the sound of her own voice. She genuinely believes that if she keeps rattling and rambling when asking their questions, she'll get them convinced about her intelligence and innocence. When, in reality, she's only digging her hole deeper. I've seen multiple videos and interrogations of narcissists but this woman takes the cake,by leaps and bounds!!

Listening to the parole hearings makes me know that this woman is truly crazy nuts bonkers or whatever you want to call.

She really does live in a delusional world. She will never get out thank goodness but if she did the first thing she would do is try to go find her two children which is the worst thing that could ever happen to them they need to be protected from her and she does not realize that. Her children does not need to know their biological family they have a good family a good stable life and she needs to accept that.

She is absolutely insane. She can’t think she is that important that people are all conspiring against her right? I mean she must be serious if she wrote the FBI. She always says “wen I’m out” instead of “if I get out”. She thinks the world was made just for her to live in.

Her voice and whole intonation has not altered one iota since her arrest all those years ago. As said before, she is devout of any humanity. Weird, totally self obsessed. 🤬

Omg….I just laughed out loud…can you believe she said “yeah I’ve had criminal behavior; I stole an ink pen from the post office”. She’s not crazy; she delusional and thinks she’s the best and brightest in the room.

There was one interview she did with the cops early on, once they figured out her story was false they basically told her they knew she was lying. Instead of her trying to defend herself, she gloated that she knew who shot her and the kids but she wouldn’t tell the cops since they thought it was her. She said out her own mouth “I don’t care if it takes twenty five thousand years for y’all to figure it out” if someone shot you and your kids and is a potential threat to the community you live in…. Why on earth would you not wanna find him ? That interview definitely let me see she really doesn’t care about her kids

OMG, I've been listening to Diane Downs for THIRTY SEVEN YEARS NOW.

They should play her original interrogation for her every time she sits through a probation hearing so she can listen to how narcissistic she truly is. She laughed all the way through it. Her children were dead two days prior to the interrogation.

In order to ‘empathise’ with someone, you need to put yourself into their shoes. Well, if I had experienced what she claims to have, my singular focus would be on the perpetrator of the crime. - the man who killed my child, and severely injured my other two children, and wounded me. He’s gotten away with it. And, not only that, I’ve been blamed. I’ve lost my 3 children, and I’ve spent 30 years in prison for something I didn’t do. And, the worst of all - I’ve been convicted of harming my own children. Ms Downes chooses instead to focus on psychiatric reports and other irrelevant nonsense. I’d be completely taken up with the fact that the perpetrator is still out there, and has gotten away, literally, with murder. The perpetrator is the key character in this tale, and she hardly mentions him. That’s the dead giveaway for me.

She has the nerve to call someone else a nut case 😂 she’s sooo blind!

Diane has not changed in the least same old Diane and same old verbal vomit.

She’s completely detached from reality. Even here there’s still no regret or remorse it’s all about her. There is a shallow attempt to talk about her children, she clearly knows for any chance of parole she “should” show empathy for them, but it’s forced and if you notice it always goes back to her, and how difficult things are for her and how she feels because as a true narcissist that’s where she feels comfortable.

When John Bailey asked her about the file the FBI had on her and quoted the FBI response to her about said file, he was extremely clear and concise on asking her how she twisted their response to what she determined they said. Once again, she side stepped it and did her normal rattling and rambling but his question was absolutely excellent!! That was probably my favorite question asked of her in this video!

You don't have the right to talk about your kids because you tried to kill them. That's part of your punishment and I'm glad you're in a place where that punishment is constantly enforced by your fellow prisoners. They won't put up with your bullshit lies. Constant monitoring and threat of punishment is the only way that psychopaths will follow a rule that thwarts their desires. What bothers her most about the "not being able to talk about my kids rule" is that she is being controlled regarding people whom she once had complete control over. How does it feel to no longer be a mother even though the people you gave birth to are still alive? It bothers you? Good, let it bother you. Let is bother you until the day you die.

She should NEVER get parole

This poor woman. Every person that she runs into, and many that she doesn't know, is conspiring against her, stalking her, wanting her to be their kids' mom (right) and/or trying to make her prison life miserable. All she does is help people, even the prison guards. It is always someone else's fault. But, she took a crochet class and now does crochet so she should be set free. She is a piece of work.
