Amazing indeed. This was really moving. And of course, I would recognize that tone and those bends and runs in the guitar solo anywhere. Even in another time or another space.
I saw Elizabeth do an analysis of this on the Charismatic Voice and became an instant fan. I immediately found your channel and subscribed. What a powerful and beautiful voice!!
Symphonic metal needs more Dianne, she's one of the best singers in the genre without any doubt. I'm so glad every song has a music video, because she's one of the most expressive singers both with her voice and her facial expressions
A couple of years from now, people will have wondered how we have slept on her her wonderful vocals, in the same way Jorn Lande or Floor Jansen needed Avantasia / Nightwish to finally break their way into the pantheon of metal vocalists, whilst those who have heard their respective voices had long reserved them a well-deserved seat.
When I heard that Xandria wasn't making any more music, I was quite dissatisfied by it. When I heard they had a new vocalist, it was even worse. Now, since I've heard this song, I know Dianne will rule the industry. Keep it up! I missed your music. Let's not forget about Arjen Though... One day I'll make it to an Ayreon concert. So far the tickets have always been sold out
A song with you two would be a dream... Everybody talks about how Floor Jansen is very versatile (and she is), but people tend to overlook you, you can growl and sing raspy too! You'd be perfect with Dianne.
Right?! She just rips out my heart and shatters it in the opening. I'm 57yo and a combat veteran; however, her beautiful innate talent and the mastery of her art just wreaks me.
In the first notes, I can't tell you, I got goosebumps. When your voice reaches a dramatic tone it's impressive, I've never heard a metal singer do that, you're impressive. God gave you a huge talent.
If you like your Symphonic Metal to be PROPERLY SYMPHONIC then this is the tune for you. For a start, you get genuine operatic soprano. Secondly it's superbly structured. It consists of four parts, the third being a bridge between second and fourth. These parts are subdivided into smaller movements so everything flows smoothly from start to finish. It's a slow build number that doesn't fully take off until two minutes in, but in that two minutes you get a quality soul-soothing mini-aria. The soaring melody and quality production tie it into a fine work. I'd have liked the coda to be longer but that's just a nitpick. With everything you're looking for in a Symphonic Metal tune, this is a glorious must-own. My Score: Excellent 5*
aaaaw well the singer in me would also looooooooooooove a longer coda, but the composer in me said 'you have to leave your audience hungry' ;). Thank you though, for your wonderful comment!
Greetings from Russia. Thanks for your creativity! In love with you and your voice ❤
Dianne, the three songs are my favorites but A Symphonic Tragedy has my heart completely, I know there are songs missing to complete the Soulward bound album but this album already has a special place in my heart, all your music is pure art and you are my favorite singer Dianne and you are the best vocalist in the world, I will be supporting you on this journey and whatever comes next for many years to come. @@DiannevanGiersbergen indeed. Some of the first artists were Tarja Turunen, Floor Jansen, Vibeke Stene, Simone Simons and Sharon Den Adel over 20 years ago. Always open to hear more.
@@DiannevanGiersbergen Me too. I don't really like clean vocals in metal, especially clean male vocals. For me it must be either operatic vocals or growls/shrieks like in death/black metal.
@@metalandy Simone is still a goddess for me. I've never heard such a gorgeous soprano. She doesn't shrill like many opera singers do, and she often mixes head voice and chest voice masterfully, which is pure pleasure to listen to. Even on the very first Epica albums, where her soprano wasn't properly developed yet, it was already beautiful and very unique. She doesn't like her own voice from that early era, but many fans totally love it. I wish Dianne and Simone did some collab.
Because of Dianne I understand why loop button is invented. Her singing is enough to take me to another realm, but I can't get enough of her magical voice! Well done o queen!!
I feel very happy thanks to this music video! What a beautiful beauty of music! Everything is perfect! You all did a great job! Masterpiece "par excellance"! I salute you, Dianne♥️🤘🙏🙏!
Hello Dianne.. Just heard you on TCV. This is a great song and so very well sung. In the mean time also listened to your other songs... and it's quite impressive! I hope to hear more from you soon.
What a blessing to have woken up to drink water in the early morning and found out such an epic release! It's always a pleasure to witness your art, badass Diana! 😍🤘🏽✨ I loved Arjen's collab btw.
This is so awesome! It's starts off so slow and melodic but builds up to something monumental! And the ending really lets Dianne's voice shine! Love it!
You don't know how happy I was to get this video in my recommendations! Your voice is one of my favorites in symphonic metal and I've missed hearing it on new music - I don't know how I missed this and the previous two releases. What a beautiful yet powerful song about such a painful and vulnerable subject. I see that the full album will be released in little droplets across several years, and while I'd love nothing more than to dive into the whole project right away, I think taking time to fully digest and sit with new music is something we all ought to do more often in this fast paced world. Can't wait to hear what's to come! ❤
Well thank you algoritme for helping you find my music! I'm so very happy to hear that you live my solo songs, as well as my release vision/strategy. Feel free to subscribe to my channel (and socials if you like) to follow my next steps 😊❤️
Dianne dear. I really love your lyrical prowess. Your keen use of old English really brings an air of elegance to gutteral and beautiful music. Please never change this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I won't! It is so much part of the whole vision and mystery that my music would not be the same wuth straight forward lyrics. Thank you though, for picking up on that ❤️🙏
It`s a pure beauty, Dianne. The song, your voice, gestures, everything. The location choice and video work rounds it up. Thank you for your performance and wish you a great solo career 🤘.
The voice is that otherhood who is with us through our best and worst in life, whom we profoundly love and through whom we connect with art... I had to listen to this song to awaken a very profound matter in my relationship with my voice, so thank you Dianne
Dianne, this is such an ACHIEVEMENT! What a POWERFUL and ultimately haunting song you've written here! This is not just a ballad; this is an OPERA unto itself! Your voice just absolutely SOARS here with emotion literally dripping from every note. This is by far the most powerful song you're released yet. The locations, the symbolism, the cinematography, the appropriate and heartfelt emotion shown in the performance, everything is just so well presented. I don't think I've EVER heard your voice come through as solidly, strongly, or as powerfully as I just heard. I've been listening to your music for over 10 years now, and this is the best you've ever sounded. NEVER doubt your strength, or your gift!
After what happened with Xandria I finally understood what Unleash the Siren was about. I like music that is up for interpretation but I love love love music like this where there's a true story behind it❤❤❤
What a powerful voice. What a beautiful lady. I love this song. New subscriber. Dianne keep going and conquer the world with your wonderful voice and personality.🙏✌️
I will never stop saying how wonderful you are. You had been missed but now you are more than loved. A fan from Colombia, willing to presence the magnitude of your incredible voice. With much love, Julián 😊
Estupendo realmente. ¡Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina! 😎🇦🇷😎
From start to finish it has me in tears. It was so beautiful and sad. The ending in particular where it look liked Dianne was about to cry almost made me cry 😢
WOW, This video was worth the wait. This video really hit home with me, I had a Traumatic brain Injury in 2012, They did brain surgery to remove a tumor, But discovered afterwards, no tumor. They cut a golf ball sixe of brain tissue from a fall out of me. The person who I was before the surgery is no more. I had to relearn how to walk, talk, and function. I had to relearn to be close to my wife again. And 12 years later, I'm still alive, So Thank you!!
Gosh Jack, it does indeed sound like my song is about you (as well). What a story! It must have been incredibly hard, but it's so good of you that you've embraced the climb. 🙏
Haha it's funny you should mention that as the outfit I had designed for Xandria's (my former band) "Theater of Dimensions" era, was actually based on her dresses!
