While he was making the world, God took a nap to get some rest. While asleep, he saw the most beautiful Lady in his dream. As soon as God woke up he went straight to his shop and made Dianne Reeves. Dianne Reeves is a gift to humanity.
What a marvelous singer, what a beautiful Lady. I'm a man in Heaven, my heart is slowly melting. Thank you Almighty for sending us this sublime Goddess. I fell in love with Dianne Reeves years and years ago. Still love her to death.
Dianne Reeves is my emotional and mental therapy. I never imagined that people like Dianne Reeves could exist. When I feel down and terribly miserable, I lie down, close my eyes, and listen to this incredibly gifted jazz singer. She brings so much joy and warmth to my life. I never met Dianne Reeves nor have I ever attended her concerts but she lives deeply in my soul.
This is one of her BEST shows ever!!!! Dianne is one of my masters! So much passion, soul and truth in her singing! Sadly, few jazz singers sing like her, passion and truth are very very rare things to find in jazz vocals today! I have seen her 3 times. She is unbelievable!

Since my first days on the RADIO in HAVANA, CUBA, DIANNE REEVES became one of my favorite singers. I have been living in Vermont, USA since November 2006, and now my album collection has some of HER Masterpieces. Thank you for sharing this Unequal Jazz Singer and her band mates which are SOME of the BEST in the World !
It would have been better to give credit to the wonderful musicians who accompany her, by naming them, as she does during the concert. They are artists, too. Dianne is most definitely the reigning queen of contemporary jazz, but without the musicians, it would be a whole different, rather one-dimensional performance. She knows it, too - Just listen to all the praise and love she heaps on them, one by one ! It's wonderful. Twenty-five years ago, I had the honor of being serenaded by Sarah's and Ella's successor, Ms. Diane Reeves at the studios of BET where she was recording for a later airing. Present was a high school buddy, who had not seen years, and me! To this day, I still can't believe that we had this talented songstress all to ourselves!
The opening song is Tango, her composition from her album Beautiful Life. Trumpeter Dominick Farinacci recorded an excellent version. A male skater in the 2016 Winter Olympics used it in his skate shortly after I heard Farinacci's version. But it was long enough after that I couldn't place it. It took me 2 or 3 weeks to track down the tune associated with that skate. Once I had it I was able to make the connection. It's a great tune to do quad jumps to.
