Anban reed ( Ney anban ) is one of the old and authentic Iranian musical instruments. This instrument is a type of air sound that is created with double vocal tubes. Anban reed ( Ney anban ) instruments are mostly found in the southern regions of Iran, such as Bushehr, Khuzestan, Hormozgan, and southern Kerman. Anban reed ( Ney anban ) represents a musical instrument that is important to southerners like the corna, which is mostly used in weddings and parties.
Ney Anban instrument is one of the happy instruments that is used in most weddings and parties. Anban reed ( Ney anban ) instrument plays without interruption and has sounds of one octave. The wind instrument is made of two important parts, the first part has the role of the wind source and the second part includes the reed handle that produces and changes the sound. The training of Ney Anban requires special expertise. Reed is a storage that consists of two parts. Anbon reed ( Ney anban ) is actually a mouthpiece that causes air to enter, the reed is designed in such a way that the air that comes out of the mouth after blowing into the anbon does not return and acts as a one-way valve.
This instrument is the most well-known musical instrument in southern Iran. An instrument that enjoys a privileged position in Bushehr, Khuzestan, Hormozgan and Kerman provinces.
Anban reed ( Ney-anban ) instrument is found in different countries such as Iran, Bahrain, Turkey, Greece, India, Africa and Europe, each of which has a different appearance.
