This really is an incredible song. Blackfoot and Molly Hatchet filled the void when Skynyrd went off line. Tomcattin' was my fav album from them. You did a Masterful job Scott, Bless you sir.

Blackfoot music was first introduced to me via the Boston radio station WBCN playing "Train-Train" & "Highway Song" frequently and I have covered "Train-Train" in bands. Blackfoot has remained a top favorite till today, and their music is in my ears often while lifting weights at the gym. I learned to play this song on the guitar as soon as I heard the first few chords. Thank you for this tutorial on many levels.

Hey Scott, Skynyrd is and will always be one of my favorite southern rock band's next to Blackfoot. There are so many Jacksonville Florida bands out there.

Grea lesson, good choice, Scott. One of my favorite songs by Blackfoot. One of the best live bands i ever saw, 1979 open for Nugent, and 1980 open for AC/DC. Saw Rickey on a later version in mid 90's in Germany. Met him after the show at autograph booth, he signed my old LP covers of Strikes, Marauder, and Skynyrds FIRST AND LAST. Nice guy!

Scott it was SRV and southern rock that made me become a guitar player in 81 Skynyrd is still my favorite of all time I try to practice every day my friend ☮️☯️🎸🎶

Hi, nice to watch the ease of your picking in acoustic. Suddenly I started thinking about playing "wizard" from Uriah heep 60's rockband and I learnt to play it last month. I tuned down the low "E"string to C and other strings to full step down. My point is that I am confused as to how I could play "G"chord on low "C" string as it seems everything has been altered with my tuning mode.

Scott, thanks for this video, i always loved this song, i was wondering if you could cover the song, ''Ronnie's song by Jimmie Van Zant, This song is great man, it makes me cry,, It has a very Haunting effect to it, Skynyrd was thinking to hire Jimmie for The Reunion tour, to me he sounded more like Ronnie than Johnny does, But they decided to have Ronnie's Brother, Jimmie did a good one here, RIP to all the Van Zants, Cousin Figel

Cool! I never knew about the speed change either. You click on the bottom of the video & go to setting, then you can speed up or slow down the playback speed. Now that I've found that feature, I'll have to go revisit some of your other videos. lol
