Always thought if they put Khabib vs Diaz, Diaz would submit him on a takedown or threaten a submission on a takedown so much that Khabib wouldn’t shoot again and get pieced up on the stand up. Khabib needs to fight a guy that has not just legit Black Belt level BJJ but MMA BJJ, adapting it to MMA is a diff beast.
As a bjj practitioner I want to believe as well, but Khabib would ragdoll Nate & unleash fight-stopping gnp (a cut rather than a tko is more likely). Diaz brothers have great jiu-jitsu to stifle a ground attack, but not enough wrestling/pressure to reverse the roles at the highest levels, which is why they always struggled with high pressure wrestlers, like Sanchez, GSP, Rory MacDonald, etc

my first and only nate diaz moment was in the club after he beat mcgregor. i was in line for the bathroom, which was next to the vip, for some dumb reason and i saw nate walkin next to me. i tapped him on the shoulder and said "good shit for representing" and turn away. i felt an awkward silence and turned towards him, to realize he had his hand up for daps, as i left him hanging. he was laughing as we celebrated the moment, so its hard for me to hate on nate for wrecking people who deserve it
