Wow. What a progression.
I present to you all...after over 2 years since the first sequel, and 4 since the first video...Dice Stacking Trick Shots 3! This video has been in the works FOREVER, and while I technically don't have a specific date of when I committed to starting this video, I did end up including several clips from all the way back in 2022! This is because, almost EXACTLY like during the aftermath of posting DSTS1, I didn't see myself making another future sequel right after posting DSTS2, mostly because I figured the level 1-100 dice stacking video would be my final one. However, as it turns out, I can honestly say that after posting the level 1-100 vid, I didn't WANT to stop dice stacking. My motivation at the time was probably at its all-time high, as I was peaking at point stacking, starting to get really good at destacking, and, for some reason that I still haven't 100% figured out, the point stacks in under 1 second trend was just starting to re-emerge. Thus, I took full advantage of my motivation throughout mid/late 2022 and early 2023, making several full-length dice stacking vids AND shorts, and even scoring a good portion of the shots you see here. But just like all temporary interests, my motivation to continue this video began to drop around spring 2023 due to a very ironic reason...Dice Stacking Skillz. Now, although the legendary self-created trend was centered around dice stacking, it severely slowed my progress on this video for 2 reasons. First, after I got into the trend's rhythm, I came to realize that it was very time-consuming (but still very fun), which often made me push aside attempting shots for this video. Then, contrary to the potential idea that I could reuse some of the episodes I'd filmed in this video, nearly all of them did not meet my quality standards in terms of lighting and camera angles, which ultimately put me no closer to finishing this video. However, summer 2023 would turn out to be my relief point, with a boost of both motivation and time to film. It was then that I picked back up my work on this video, and even though I excluded a couple shots from that point, my desire to finish the vid was only continuing to grow. So, after filming a couple fillers, shooting b-roll, and editing my heart out over the past couple months, the vid is finally here.
