Technically Iceman is the only one of the original X-Men (Iceman, Angel, Cyclops, Marvel Girl and Beast). Storm and Wolverine were in the second team, and from there there were lots of other members. Psylocke is one of the earlier members.
One note, she could've spent the Agility at the end of the defense. It's in the back of the leaflet, you can spend it immediately after gaining it on defense.
Thanks for giving us an advanced look at the X-men in action. Hoping to see the others as well. A couple of things to point out for those watching: 1. Wolverine appears to be able to play as many Rage tokens as he has cards to spend on a single attack. I didn't see a limit on using them. 2. When you put Alpha on someone, both players immediately roll a die and the Attacker has to equal or exceed the other player's roll for Alpha to stick. This was not done during the game. 3. Using an Agility or a Not this Time does not stop you from rolling defense. Even if you prevent all the damage. You always get to roll defense if an attack would do Normal damage. 4. You cannot upgrade your abilities during your Phase (except for Black Widow). Ability upgrades must be played during a Main Phase 5. You can only sell cards for CP during one of your Main Phases. 6. Yes, any cards or tokens that you get from a Defensive or Offensive roll can be played utilized immediately if the card/token timing allows it. So Wolverine can immediately use the Rage he gets from Hunter. FYI. There were a couple other mistakes in this game. At 31:48, Wolverine had 14 health and was suppose to take 9 damage, but instead of putting the health down to 5, it was put at 9. On the following round, Wolverine rolled a small straight, but for some reasons, Hunter was activated instead, when Hunter was not rolled. And as mentioned, Psylocke can immediately use the Agility that she gained on her defensive roll. So she potentially goes into the last round with 4 health versus Wolverine's 5 health (I think he would have taken one from the dagger).
Just a heads up…it looks as if the hunter ability on Wolverine is Two claws and 3 adamantine symbols…not a claw and a mask…I noticed that ‘this’ ability was activated twice when a mask was rolled in place of the second claw
When you gain a card from your defense you could technically use that card if it was a red instant card. If you gain a status effect tokens from your defense you can also use it instantly.
23:14 I'm fairly certain that you can only 'Sell' cards for CP during your Main Phase 1 or 2, or your Discard Phase. You can't sell cards during any other phase unless instructed to do so by an ability or card or whatever.
at 7:30 Yes you do. You can take all the benefits, as long as you have the dice that covers that ability. It isn't I already used this dice for this..but you can reuse the dice you have to complete the requirements on the Defense...this does not apply to cards that have 2 attacks on them. In that case it is one or the other. I hope this makes sense.
8:30 there are 3 types of attacks...1. I attack/you defend. 2. I attack undefendable/ you can use cards or abilities, but can not use the green defense on the board. 3 Ultimate can not be stopped/ defender can only changed the dice with a card or has to take the damage. Very important...example I have blind on me (after attack I have to roll to see if I hit) it can not be stopped...it has to be a card that changes the dice to stop the ultimate effect. Nothing stops it even if they have negative effect on them.
Hooray for putting Sorcerer City on the shelf behind you! Meg almost culled it from her collection, I hope you've gone back to play it more! Love that game.
I think you may have spoiled the last two. 😂 They we’re the ones I was hoping for though. I’m also hoping there’s a battle box of Professor X and Magneto. Don’t know if that’ll come to pass. Definitely excited for this game, along with Missions.
Original X-Men: Beast, Angel, Cyclops and Jean Grey (Marvel Girl). Edit: As in the other originals because Iceman's there, but thanks to nickdejager8873's comment (props) I just realised I should explain what I was thinking, oops!
I'm not sure which instance you're referring to, but I'll say we'll always try to say things properly...but also I'm more concerned with presenting people having a good time than getting the words right. I'm in this hobby because I love the joy games bring, I'm not in this hobby because I care whether I said someone got killed vs knocked out or that kind of thing.
@@BoardGameCo There were several instances of incorrect terminology or rules, much of which had been pointed out by other comments. I was referring to "undefendable" being called "indefensible" throughout the game, which is honestly not even that big of a deal. I didn't mean to come off as rude and I was glad that you had the opportunity to show off these characters in a way that isn't possible through the current Kickstarter information. I do hope that y'all can continue to make content as the weeks and months progress. Had I known that y'all monitor the comment section as well as you do I would have certainly commented differently.
My guys really? Not knowing the og and best X-Men? Ugh. Not know rhe xmen were bamed for the x gene (not charles last bame). Iceman is the only original Character present. For shame. I gave bought or reaquired dice throne 4 times (the nunber of people unloading it is very high). I have introduced it to the mrs and over 20 people. Not a single one has liked it. Most having the opinion that if they wanted a game this simple rhey would just play yahtzee. And thus it continually gets sold or traded. My son who is 8 played as Miles and literally said "Is that it?" After playing the game. I have tried and tried but this game is just not for me or literally anyone I know sadly.
How can more than 20 people not like this game? That's pretty fishy since I've had the exact opposite effect. Every person who I've introduced this to has liked it and most wanted to play it again right after.
@liane4276 same here. It is accessible enough with just enough strategy. Do not say you rather play yahtzee over this. The dice rolling is like yahtzee but there's abilities, status effects, and it's super thematic. This game is a 9 out of 10 for me. Lets not talk about the containers they come in. You can literally just pick up and go. It is so clean and organized and well balanced
@@liane4276battle Yahtzee does not make a good game. Many characters feel wildly similar. You can claim they don't buy the goal is effectively the same either way.
@@cjpeach11 I mean don't get me wrong, characters feeling similar was my biggest complaint when season 2 came out but they've seem to be leaning into having more unique characters now which I appreciate. That's why I'm excited for Xmen, since even the simple characters feel like they have cool abilities going for them.
