Today's no talent "reality stars" and alternative so called "comedians" couldn't hope to be as funny as this comedy genius. Can't believe it's almost 40 years since Dick Emery died. He was so funny. As a kid l loved watching him. Windsor Davies another great a bonus presence here. RIP both.
Ah I forgot Windsor Davies had been in this, I met him at BBC TVC in the late 1970's when I was acting in a production in the studio facing were "It ain't half hot mum" was being recorded, and then again socially, he was a lovely man, very friendly, warm, kind, and a joy to know, One of many well known and Famous TV & Film stars I had the honour to meet or work with over the years, and who I have included in one of my 2 videos on my RU-vid Channel, remembering talented professionals, many of which are sadly no longer with us, thanks for uploading this, it brought back fond memory's of this lovely guy.
Hello..He did very well although on 1 occasion you could see when Colledge pulled the sleeve off the uniform the Sarge was gritting his teeth holding it together
love this, Windsor Davies holding his own and great to see bill kenwright in the bobby role, if i was him id flog Bettys hotpot recipe and buy back Everton.
This guy is pure pure pure genius Laugh from beginning to end. So hard a laugh. So much of his stuff was so daring. But i genuinely believe that he was grandfather of comedy to come. True and original comedy genius x
If the year given is correct, then with WD playing the sergeant, this must be series 12 programme 8 - assuming IMDb has the right details. If all that is so, I can't identify the actors from the cast (except for DE and WD) as given in IMDb - they mostly seem much younger than those listed. Can anyone help?
Alex Emmerson No, that wasn't Godber from Porridge. But you probably have seen him before. Dick Emery had a lot of popular faces on his show over the years.
