Based on my 25 years experience in fishing & sport out &in board engines boats the substantial factor in boat desgin is it performace in rough sea. I.e. @ wind speed 40km/h and 4meter wave hight. The rest of other parameters is manageable.

Shame this boat only has an IPS option. IPS is already becoming the hated engine configuration at local Marina's world wide. Look at the rapid depreciation on all IPS power Rivieras compared to shaft drive equivalent's.
@mike force Second hand IPS units are a pain in the 'Butt'. They are ridiculously expensive to maintain and repair. They are extremely prone to fouling on anything in the water that isn't water (Inevitable Propeller Smash). New boats have sunk due to hitting logs and having the IPS lower unit ripped from the hull. They are generally only more efficient at higher speeds when conditions allow, however a well setup shaft drive can be just as efficient. At slow trolling speeds or slow speeds for passage crossing the IPS units have higher fuel burn largely due to smaller capacity higher rpm engines with small Prop surface area. IPS has no rudders or bow /stern thrusters. All of which remove redundancy of the vessel. Shaft drive have all completely independent systems, steering, manoeuvring, propulsion. If you ever lose one engine in IPS good luck doing any of the above.
@mike force IPS is a failed experiment period. Of course you have bow and/or stern thrusters. Again that is another layer of redundancy. End of the day actions speak louder than words and the second hand market for IPS powered boats is tragic. A 15 year old Riviera is getting similar money to a 5 year old IPS powered vessel. Simply people don't want them.
@@bobbuilder5362 lmfao. how did that "phasing ips drives out" work? they have doubled down. not only that but models of boats that come in Stern or IPS, the IPS drives have been outselling the stern versions. TARGA, SARGO, etc.
Guy Malaka turn them in safety dude!!! Maybe the state will take their kids away!!! I mean wow what horrible parents. Just look at the death trap they bought to take their kids out in. Rules exist about this everywhere. Ages are different. Depends on the location of the boat age of the kid. It’s amazing you could miss The message of commercial so badly. God bless.
