His writing about Castors ballin skills is like the "left participates in speedrunning" shitpost while being 100% serious "I worry that this flash and pomp is not befitting of the revolutionary leader. It serves to separate him too much from those caught in the chains of a maudlin life, marred by oppression and economic strife. Yes, it leads to a basket, but at what cost to the communal spirit?” Just how much soy do you need to consume to think like this?
I think he's making a joke but either way probably the funniest thing I've ever read, Che Guevara fighting imperialism while also making me laugh legitimately every time I hear/read that statement. In a perfect world with no inequity there Che would be great stand up comedian
I really like the messages in this video - Do sports, it’s good for you. - Be faithful to your woman (it will save you from malicious actors). - Spread good morals, even with hard times ahead, try to be positive and don’t engage in sin. - Be kind to animals. - Be responsible for your finances. - Don’t smoke, it’s bad for your lungs. Very wholesome indeed.
Gadaffi also had a huge crush on Condi Rice after they met when Libya announced it was giving up its WMD program. Stalin’s car was once hit by another vehicle, the driver of which was a teenage girl. He got out and told her not to worry about it and that his car was armored anyway. When the cops showed up he ordered them to leave.
Stalin had the most bipolar personality of all time. At one moment he could be signing away the lives of an entire family and in the next he could be chill af
Interestingly, under Gaddafi's rule, housing, water and electricity were considered human rights. Additionally, each married couple was given the equivalent of $50,000 to buy a house and money for every child they had (not sure on the amount for that). I'd say that's pretty darn wholesome.
Fun fact, those were only available to those of Arab or Arabized-Berber stock. The Toubou people of South-Libya had all rights and citizenship revoked, even the teaching of their language was outlawed.
Also stalin's one of the wholesome act was with his daughter. Many times his daughter [Svetlana] would call stalin in his office and tell him - "comrade stalin , you have an order to see me this weekend. This order shoul be quickly done." And stalin would respond - "of course comrade Svetlana, youre order will be quickly satisfied" Also he liked irony. One time he was troubled with quality of matches , so he called director of matches factory in his office. Once director showed up and set in front of him Stalin took out his matches and the pipe. He struck one of the matches but it broke , he struck another one but it also broke , after while director of maches factory looked at stalin and said " of course comrade Stalin ! Problem will be quickly solved ! " And left a room without stalin even saying anything.
What does the second Part have to do with Irony? That just sounds like either a vieled threat to the manufacturer or a simple Demonstration of the Problem. No Irony whatsoever.
@@niono1587he definitely liked to mess with people. He would get his ministers drunk and make them dance for his amusement. It’s sickening but also freaking hilarious
@@niono1587he liked to joke. Here in RU-vid you can find a video footage when he was going to give a speech but people started applauding him before he even said anything so he jokingly responded: “why are you applauding me? You don’t even know what I am going to say”. Plus as I heard many times he didn’t like bootlicking people so he made fun of them. It also maybe the reason why his live wasn’t saved in time because he was annoyed at overprotective guards and order them not come in until he give a signal and that ended bad for him. So it might be a myth
I am from Syria and Bashar is our president still. His wifes name literally means “Names” Asmaa means “Names” and Al Asad means “the lion” So her name means “the lion names” And Bashar mean “someone who brings good news So his name is “the lion who brings good news” 🐸 Idk what u gained from this but here it is 👍🏻
guevara seething and malding about "communal spirit" and "means to an end" over castro being better than him at basketball is really something you only see in one-party states.
He was also a strong proponent of medicinal crack, he had a prescription himself and was a strong believer in it's benefits. Shame, there was so much to learn from him.
Here’s a fun fact about a couple of dictators. You know what Saddam Hussein and Benito Mussolini had in common besides the fact that they were both brutal dictators? They both wrote romance novels! 😂
One more wholesome moment for the road: Adolf Hilter's childhood best friend was August Kubizek. Kubizek was the son of an upholsterer and was expected to take up the family business, but he harbored dreams of being a conductor. At eighteen years old, Hitler convinced Kubizek's father to let him pursue his dream and study at the Vienna Conservatory. Kubizek would later write that Hitler's encouragement permanently changed the course of his entire life. Even the worst of us are capable of a little good.
Another Austrian Painter wholesome moment was that he advocated for workers to have vacations and even their own car "the Volkswagen". And of course, he liked painting.
@@deeznoots6241 The Autobahn certainly wasn't though. Volkswagen prewar production might have been smaller than it should've been due to rearmament, but the Autobahn project was widely successful even in its first years
@@scottanno8861 the Autobahns were a program of the previous government, the first Autobahn finished before the nazis even took power. Also production wasn’t just ‘lower than it should be’ the first Volkswagens were built AFTER the war, the nazis used it as a scheme to get more money to spend on arms before the war.
Is it considered wholesome to open up education to everyone in the country, regardless of political beliefs, and have it paid for by the state? Even all higher education was paid for if you passed the entrance exams. Believed that your financial background shouldn't be a barrier to highpaying and influential jobs and you didn't have to be a party member to get it, just a German citizen.
There is whole meme in my county about Stalin acting like a complete ass. And the punchline always is: "How benevolent of him, he could just kill him" the most wholesome Joseph could get.
Tbh an actual wholesome moment for Bashar is during the war when there was a newly taken territory and he came there and started saying hi to the army, he went to the point that he climbed the top of a tank to shake hands with the soldiers inside, i saw it live on tv
@@OwnM3Z0 the same civilians that also bombs civilians, and has no regard for anyone, if you want to make him look the bad guy, fine, do it, but don't hide the fact that you arent much better than him, the country was fine, until you guys wanted "freedom" i hope you are enjoying freedom now that you ruined the country for everyone
One of the only Sam O’Nella type channels that actually presents topics in his own format w out blatantly plagiarizing his style of video. Keep it up! So far my favorite “niche fact stickfigure” channel since Sam
I have a story about wholesome Stalin. He gave my wifes grandfather a flat, since his own burnt down. He took out his wage and sent it to him, so that he could buy a flat. They were friends from priest times
Today he’s basically a puppet of Russia and Iran let’s not lie. Well, without them he would’ve become a Gaddafi 2.0 so he owe them his own life let alone his rule
Gadaffi lectured those ladies?! Look up what he liked to do in his spare time at home. The way he passed on to the next world was one of his favorite things to do to his citizens. Then come back n tell me he’s got a leg to stand on with his lecture 😂
1:05 Che really was the mayor of SnoozeVille. Literally the embodiment of those Reddit mofos who turn every joke post into a political debate, he's literally going "yeah his moves be fly, but what does this mean for Communism?" like c'mon bro nobody likes you, thank god you kept this to a diary you'd have no friends otherwise
Congrats on the views! Your video was recommended for me to react/do live commentary on. I just wanted to make sure you were comfortable with that. Let me know if you see this!
Thanks and yea you can react to it, let me just say that my channel is more satire/comedy so i do sometimes take liberties when it comes to the facts for comedic effect but 95% of it is historically accurate
There are rarely ever any evil people. Only people capable of doing evil. They have mothers, fathers, they are fathers. They are capable of love. Be careful calling others evil, because one day you will be on the receiving end of that accusation and you will be begging others to forgive you and see the good in you too
About the Austrian mustache man, the unemployment rate only went down so quickly because he massively expanded the armament industry, so uhhh... maybe not so wholesome
Its more complicated than that. Sure he massively expanded the arms industry, he also built the autobahn, established public works programmes, effectively made it so companies had to hire nsdap members whether they liked it or not (and millions of germans were nsdap members).
@@mappingshaman5280 The Autobahn was started before he was leader. And forcing companies to take more workers is good for the workers, but bad for productivity and can be very damaging in the long term. The only reason his actions worked is because he geared the entire nation for war and took out massive loans whcih he would later pay via plundering other nations. It's hardly a good thing.
No he just started building so many public works programs that there was a demand for anyone who could hold a hammer and a shovel, and then buck broke the economy into working as the NSDAP planned
Hitler loved animals and children. In the early 1930s he befriended a little girl who lived in the town close to his Bavarian Alpine holiday home and accidentally shared a birthday with him. They remained friends for years, she often visited the Führer when he was staying in his Alpine villa. However, the girl was part Jewish and Martin Bormann feared if that fact comes out it'd be quite bad for the Führer's public image, so he told the girl's mother to lay off and never visit Hitler again. Hitler, in fact, was quite furious when he realized what Bormann did.
just wanted to say I really love your channel. I think you have a great production. Great script it’s very entertaining. The animation is very very very nice. The topics are always bangers. That’s it😂
hitler also took care of his dogs and even allowed his german shepherd named blondi to sleep in his bed with him although blondi had died as a result of hitler ordering cyanide capsules to be tested on her he had expressed many doubts about the effects of them
Fun Fact: If you ask any Libyan who lived under Gaddafi they will all tell you they loved him because he brought a cheap and great quality of life for his citizens and America arranged a coup because he wanted to unite africa under a currency not the $
Acthually, for 6:55, the unemployment statistic is heavily skewed by the fact that certain demographics of people were not considered people, and most women were removed from the workforce. (Not so wholesome) 🤓
So I was actually about to do the same thing but you saved me the time also the German economy got worse on the Hitler you should read the book vampire academy
Another wholesome moment of the Austrian Painter was that he was pen pal throughout '33 to '38 with a little girl from Bavaria whom was forced to cease communications by his secretary because the girl was 1/4 of Jewish descent.
7:59 All tyrants love to write poetry. Nero, Mussolini, Mao, Kim Il-Sung, Khomeini, and yes, Stalin wrote poetry. Radovan Karadžić, the ‘Butcher of Bosnia' was a poet by trade, and his poetry was used as evidence when he was judged for his crimes against humanity.
Gaddafi is my favorite Dictator. He did some really great stuff for Libya, what happened to him was really sad. Libya might have stabilized much of Northern Africa with His planned Gold backed currency- France did not like that though, they stood to lose a lot of Power/Oil in the whole region (they have major interests in North Africa). He actually cared for his People, before his fall Libya might have been a decent place to live, even by our Western standards... It's back to being a crap-hole anymore though, I feel bad for the People who were around when he was and now have to live in such an unstable Country.
Nice social policies. I've seen people bring up this gold currency rumor alot. What benefit would it serve to North African countries exactly? Wouldn't they run into the same problems that saw other countries give up on the gold standard prior?
@@mulamulelilumadi4717 It's all just speculation now so there's no real knowing. The reason he had that massive Gold reserve was to release that currency which might have worked its way into neighboring countries. The gold was all bought with Oil, so in the end it would have really been an oil backed currency. Even without that though, he did a lot of good. He certainly had his dark side though, just the best of a bad lot I'd say- Libya when he was in charge wasn't so bad.
I just discovered your channel through VTH. I might subscribe. Anyway, can you do a video on what wholesome attributes Henry the Eighth had? I'm so tired of hearing about his six wives. Surely, the man did and had other personal things about him that were cool. I can't find anything that doesn't talk about his wives. It's like, yeah, they were a big part of his life, but they weren't the only things in his life. I would appreciate any books or websites you could point me to. Thanks.
Stalin was also a huge movie buff and would frequently watch westerns. He was also one of the only communists with power whom sort of lived like a prole, instead of a bed for example he would sleep on the couch.
additionally the german mustache man also had an actual input in automotive design of the modern age, helping design a VW car, the Beetle i believe it was
3:05 I looked it up and that's misleading. It's an off-handed comment at the bottom of a mail: "With fingers crossed, the old rabbit's foot out of the box in the attic, I will be sacrificing a chicken in the backyard to Moloch" I have personally said MUCH WORSE even in a professional context EDIT: come to think of it OF COURSE Al-Assad didn't answer any, if you as a dictator wanted someone to have sex with would you really do it by answering to random emails?
