from what I heard, this Amtrak considered start taking down Roblox games with use of their IP, because NEC consulted Amtrak about licensing. Thats what I heard
Such a sad time for Roblox Railfans like me to have this sort of ordeal with much bigger corporates like Amtrak to have our games that we have once poured our all into it to now get f*cked due to copyright takedowns. This whole Amtrak V. Roblox Games is really concerning me... What a dark time for this time of year...
As a person who played these kinds of games since NEC train sim started, it hurts for me to see this. 5 years of progress just to get one-shot by copyright. Pain.
There’s a new railroad game called high iron. In that game Almost every train is based off the actual thing They even have photos of the real locomotive And it matches the in game road number to the real road number
Heard a similar situation with a Counter-Strike map set in the Montreal Metro that got taken down by the STM. A GMod Metrostroi map of the Montreal Metro Green Line was in development, then halted unexpectedly, so it could've been taken down as well. It sucks how big companies like Amtrak and STM are removing their branded items from fan games as if they're Nintendo or something.
Well because Amtrak is the government railway of the US and they can take down anything, even to actual train simulators like TS Classic or Trainz which I heard
