You pointed out one of my childhood questions that "Why it's always white people or people from other countries always invent things?" , initially I had inferiority complex over it. Why can't it be an Indian or someone of color. It took me long enough to realize that there was always people doing things in the science way regardless of background. For example: C. V. Raman or Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam or Srinivasa Ramanujan. They were the initial inspiration for me. Then finally realized Science is indifference to anyone and is one of the things that unites Humanity as a whole.

Vimanas are an aerodynamic nightmare. Since horizontal take off and landing was invented only recently, how did vimanas land on planets? It's funny how even if the Mahabharat or ramayan had vimanas (as these theorists believe) indians somehow "forgot" the knowledge and thousands of years later, in 1903 the Wright brothers create the first airplane and now these theorists say, "Oh this knowledge comes from these scriptures it is not new, it is copied from hinduism.". Also, its crazy how some crazy blind Hindus or other theorists would say "These Wright brothers studied these scriptures and built aircraft using these scriptures as a reference".

Most likely sculptors in ancient India were very talented (or only talented sculptors were chosen) and there could have been thousands of workers (because nobody can tell how many people worked on a temple) and you can't tell how long it took to build something (you can probably only guess or estimate)

You're doing a wonderful job, Pranav. I think there are pseudoscientific claims about every field of science and in our country it is almost always associated with religion so as to discourage people to think logically and question the claims. I, as a paleontology enthusiast have seen my fair share of them. Most common claims are humans co-existing with dinosaurs, animal sculptures in temples misinterpreted as dinosaurs, even mythical creatures being claimed as dinosaurs. And as soon as mythology and religion comes into play, people become too arrogant with their claims. A channel like yours encourages people to think logically and battle pseudoscience. Keep up the great work, brother!

Yes, rationality is a great tool to factualize things and prove them. But also, rationality only depends upon the database of knowledge (understandable/decodable) available at that time, which in turn limits the possibility of 'new' in an enclosure. *Being scientific does not mean to cancel one and believe on other. It's basis is 'urge to know-(ledge)', which allows science and scientists to come up with ridiculous ideas and slowly turns into understandable knowledge. *On context of Indian ancient texts :- it was recently in 1783 that W Herschel wrote papers claiming and proving that the sun is also a moving object. But those ancient texts define these motions in great details, from planetary positions, distances between them to motions of our sun around the galaxy. *Comment on the video :- he slightly mentions about ionic thrust and that too using mercury and on the same note denys the possibility of a somewhat similar thing just because it was from a age that we blindly just believe to be incompetent than us. If he was a true debunker with science and curiosity in mind, he would have researched more and left the audience with an question mark for them to think unbiased, rather he chose to just cancel the topic.

Wings are one of the method to generate opposing force against gravity. But not the only method. Any object to fly we need force. That force can be generated by other method also. We need to do research on it rather than simply dismiss it based on our current understanding. These ancient knowledge has nothing to do with religion. These are the works of intuitive rishis (today we call them scientists/ inventors).

Just see these as stories/legends. A lot of our texts have allegorical representations which have been mistakenly taken on face value. However this doesn't discredit the fact that our ancestors did not have any knowledge whatsover in matters of science. I once went through a text called Saundarya Lahiri by Adi Shankaracharya and holy moly the description of Yantras (holy diagrams) are so detailed and written so beautifully that it amazes me to the core.

Well actually being a JEE aspirant has nothing to do with it IIT JEE is just an exam that tests your problem solving skills and the more you practice the better you become at problem solving (not saying it's easy, it's one of the toughest exams out there I gave it too back in 2009) it's just one aspect of science but science or for that matter philosophy which is a progenitor to science is more about curiosity and I don't see most of the JEE aspirants as curious science enthusiasts, they're just trying very hard to crack an exam that'll serve as a springboard to a thriving corporate career. So the fact that this Pranav guy from science is dope does all of this research is more a function of his curiosity than being an ex JEE aspirant. Just my take I could be wrong.

I had watched lots of content on this Vimana Shastra. I can see you have purposefully left out important details of the origin to make it seem dodgy. I am neither in favour nor against the idea of this book and its content. But the facts you are presenting here are biased. You just mentioned one paper by our scientists who debunked the theory. But there are also studies from our scientists only (IITians this time) who have supported the claims by experiments. Not merely subjective commentary, but practical experiment. There are research still pending for finding if this book was a part of a series of texts of a larger book which is highly possible. But again it's speculative. If these pseudoscience folks sell their content on biased facts, you are doing the same here. I am waiting for someone to rather do a very comprehensive analysis considering all the work that has been done here. So dont call out other content creators for minting money by biased opinions, you are doing the same! Exactly the swme. After watching, reading lot of content on this topic, by unbiased personal opinion is that, "it is intriguing to say the least. Not sure which side is true if its actually reality or just fiction. But we do not have enough conclusive evidence to say either is right. Maybe some day!"
