@@LockedOnNBA yeah, so they lucked into the GOAT, told him the day he signed his 2yr/$66m deal in '96 "I know I'm going to regret this" then forced him into retirement dismantling the team with no rebuild plan and have at best been in purgatory for the 26+yr since. Reinsdorf is a stain on professional sports and it's an American travesty that he lucked into MJ
@@AdamHammond- Lets see. The wizards haven't passed the second round since 1979, their best season was 46 wins in this period (correct me if i'm wrong). Bro, the Bulls might made a mistake then, but they made less mistakes then the Wizards. I can't say they were good, but they have done much better years even after 1998.(They had a season with 62 wins and conference's final).
@@itai4242 I think you guys are confused. I'm not saying WAS > CHI. I'm saying the Bulls are such a disaster that someone who covers them knows very well what a disaster looks like, so if even he is calling you a disaster, you are definitely a disaster.
The pistons front court is looking scary with holland, thompson and duren. The bulls at 11 was fire buzelis was a steal!! 🔥🔥 miami with ware at 15 elite! Best picks right there
Blazers absolutely crushed it! Getting Avdija from the Wizards was a steal! Clingan is gonna change the defense to a whole other level in Portland...Future looks bright in Rip City
This draft board sucks as all of the talented college players have already been stripped from the college ranks before they have had a chance to develop. How much longer will it be until the NBA ia recruiting middle school kids following the Nike, Adidas, Converse
As a celtics fan I’m legitimately shook to match up with the Knicks with what they added. Nothing that Boston can’t overcome but I think this version of ny is a much worse matchup for us than anybody we saw in the playoffs this year. I’m most definitely still taking the Cs in that series but to say they can’t compete would be bogus. It would be a gritty /ugly grind it out type of series and definitely a real test for whoever has to play them. The Brunson Knicks are hard not to love with the character of so many of those guys and the effort they give in every single possession. By far the biggest threat to Boston in the east in my opinion. That being said, celtics in 6 😅😬
Don't be shook, man. It will be a credible challenge, and a good reinforcement to the Cs that the road will be harder next year. Nothing to be scared of though. It is quite true that playoffs are ALL about matchups. But...the C's are and will remain the most offensively AND defensively VERSATILE team. And the Cs get BETTER at details in series. Case in point: remember one of the C's "vulnerabilities" when the playoffs started? Pick and roll defense--supposedly a notable weakness. All they did was destroy one of the best pick and roll team's entire offense in the Finals. I do wonder what the C's would do in the playoffs (they won't show their hand in the regular season) about Brunson. Specifically, that DWhite and Jrue sometimes struggle to contain smaller, faster PGs. But I'm not worried. They have the best personnel and a damn good coaching staff.
@@mctaguer Yeah maybe shook was a slight overstatement but it will certainly be a challenge not to take lightly if everyone is healthy. Though I have zero doubt that the Celtics are up to the task. I really love this team man 😭 and we were very far from hitting our ceiling in this championship run, which is f*cking insane to say when we lost only 3 games all postseason. Maybe we were close to their defensive ceiling (minus KP) with all those ridiculous performances especially in the clutch by everyone on the floor, but especially jrue. I mean d white, Jaylen, Tatum … and even big Al deserve so much praise for the defensive masterclass they put on. KP when he was healthy was every bit as dominant of a rim protector as pretty much any elite big in the sport. Obviously having porzingis in the mix for at least the tougher half of playoff hoops would raise our ceiling by a whole effing lot… but even with the rest of the squad there is definitely a much higher level of play that they’re capable of. That’s gotta be a seriously frightening and grim prospect for all the other teams with title aspirations. If this group of Celtics is able to kick it up several gears anywhere close to their full capabilities, I genuinely don’t think anyone can beat them. It’s very possible that they could snatch another banner playing to 80% of their capacity. It’s just awesome to see them win it as a unit playing smart / unselfish team basketball like a well oiled machine
@@mctaguer Sorry in advance for the longgg a$$ ramble. As you can see I love ball and am nerdy about this stuff😅 With this iteration of the Celtics I think it’s really plainly teaching the rest of the league that in this era of the game, champions are made by having a solid TEAM from top to bottom who fit well together and are versatile/ selfless… as opposed to the past mentality of the top heavy type of build where you’re dependent on a couple extremely high usage guys to carry the offensive load, and in many cases who the team has to hide on defense because they are limited on that end or are just too exhausted from their scoring burden to give a decent effort. When teams like that play teams like the Celtics they collapse because suddenly there’s no non-shooter to hide a dame lillard or a luka on. Suddenly they have to spend wayyyy more energy defending unless they wanna get completely buried allowing their man to get whatever he wants. Then the fatigue sets in and they can’t be that same superhuman bucket getter the team relies on. Even if everyone can defend at least at an average level, playing Boston or any roster that can score at every position, throwing doubles at our stars almost always bites them when there’s multiple catch and shoot threats who are now wide open on the perimeter. Of course this is why it’s been such a revelation having Tatum improve so much as a playmaker /passer. JB too. The nuggets should’ve taught everybody the value of elite role players who fit in seamlessly, but most people were too focused on jokic being the best player in the league to appreciate how insanely well the nuggets roster is constructed. This is mainly why I feel that the Knicks are the toughest matchup for Boston in the conference that we’ve seen in a while. Everybody can defend, pass, and shoot. Their shooters outside of Brunson are definitely not as consistent as most of the Celtics shooters though. I can more get into the physicality /hustle of this Knicks squad or any other plusses they may have, but the bottom line is that they built a starting 5 where there’s not this huge imbalance since there’s a base level of two-way skill across the lineup. Brunson obviously stands out, but after him any one of those guys can go off on a given night
@@Memo_323 I was born at mass general hospital a block away from the garden and lived my whole life in a 10 mile radius of it. My family been celtic fans since the bob cousy era, long before the sperm that created you was produced in your dads nutsack😂 It’s goofy that you’d be questioning me for being nerdy about hoops and enjoying a roster construct that has qualities I like to see in a team. That doesn’t mean I’m rooting for them or anybody but the Cs. That’s also exactly why I really hate teams like the bucks and mavs, they’re built to be a top heavy imbalanced roster with a couple big flashy names. The polar opposite to the celtics and knicks. I mean id hate the lakers regardless but still🥱 You gotta touch some grass man.
Zach Edey to Memphis can be potentially scary when Ja comes back. And the Spurs picking up a dynamic point guard in Rob Dillingham can definitely elevate Wemby
There's a lot of good reasons for hating on Ayton but missing a game because of 'snow' is not one of them. We had an ICE storm and have these things called hills and mountains. When you put ice on them guess what... nobody is going anywhere. Bag on the guy all you want but I'll defend him on that one.
Think the Knicks' strategy is yes, compete for a championship next year. If they win, great, but regardless, they'll see how they measure up. Guessing they and everyone else thinks/hopes that either Brown or Porzingis gets traded by '25-'26, Jrue will be kinda old, and C's more beatable two years from now.
