It’s because some of the more “high quality” After market replacement screens, purposely program the encrypted display IC to have null or unreadable data ultimately confusing iOS and preventing the notification from coming up as it can’t determine if it’s aftermarket or genuine. iOS 15 changed this and started alerting you if it couldn’t read the IC.

When you expect an error message or warning, it doesn't show up and you start to worry haha.

After working in this industry, one thing I learned is never destroy a broken screen before a repair is complete, if you have a defective part, and I've seen defective OEM parts... And you have to return the device to the customer un repaired you never want to return it in worse condition than when it was brought in.

I have to say, I work in a repair shop that has access to certain Apple authorized parts, and the new adhesives that come from Apple are so good. It's to the point where I can't even use the generic ones anymore. They're like reinforced by the plastic and it unpeels super easily. That being said however, I feel like Apple gatekeeping Touch ID, Face ID, and OEM parts is a terrible thing, and everyone should have access to all the necessary tools.

i replaced the screen on my uncles iphone 11 and when i was done he asked me about the display warning and i told him that there’s no fixing that, then a week later he told me that round 3 days after i replaced the screen the warnings just went away and he hasn’t had them since

Only get screen warning if the phone has upto date iOS. I’m still on iOS 13 to avoid the self repair issue with warnings, most people update there device and booom they get the warnings

When I use refurb screens I get the message, but when I use aftermarket I do not get the warning at all even in settings.

Okay sooo- I have an iPhone 11 Pro. My phone screen is kinda broken but not very badly. I used to have an old phone that broke and every time I got it fixed they broke it even more! So I’m scared to get it fixed- But, that’s not the only problem. I don’t even know if it has a screen protector because I didn’t see them put one on. But- If I wanted to get my screen fixed, would they have to reset my whole phone?

If the display warning doesnt show up it is 100% sure it is not an original apple screen. Only the copy screens can avoid the screen messege without replace screen ic There is a lot more info about this on the web

When you transfer true tone, you're also transferring the serial number of the original screen, which makes the phone believe the original screen is still being used

I use the same driver, I love it. Also, do you know about the secondary battery connector on the 11p and 11pm? It's under the plate at the bottom of the battery. I always unplug it just to be safe. Haha.

New hard oled aftermarket screens work for some reason on the 11 pro series, and does not show the non genuine message. It's weird 'cause usually the pairing is written on the touch ic chip on the display, but those guys somehow managed to bypass this sh"t on their screens.

I have a question for you: my dad also runs a repair shop and is having a hard time finding the penta-screwdriver used to open the newer IPhone and is treating the only one he has with so much care as if its a soap bubble that will break if touched.
