I bought a titan years ago and as a fat ass gamer guy , IT ABSOLUTELY SUCKS ASS . My biggest complaint about it is that the seat does not sit flat in a locked position. The seat itself is memory foam and ain't exactly the most comfortable thing to sit on . If you're going to spend serious cash for a chair, you're going to sit in for hours 6 a time , Do the research before you waste your money . As a side note , I'm the 1/100 glitch . My experience is not typical and most people are happy with this chair. Just giving everyone a heads up so you don't become me .
To answer the questions to this particular video… yes it has killed off the gaming chairs we’ve been seeing for the recent years. I think ASUS have nailed it to start introducing the option of ergonomics options and mesh design with adjustable feature from the high end office chairs, bringing it across for the gaming style chairs for the gaming enthusiasts for their setup. It’s not perfect but it’s definitely heading the right direction for the enthusiasts so the ROG brand is doing the right thing so far; to get people’s interests away from the racing seat styles for the desk setup. You can get the destrier on good deals now, the prices have dropped (at least for the UK market coming at £699) so I think it’s worth now. I’ve placed my order on one of the destrier’s so looking forward to it when it arrives soon as the stock is available by one of the suppliers. The recline function of the racer chairs (I have a Dx Racer K-series) can't be understated. When I had knee surgery done I found it easier to transfer myself from a wheelchair to my racing chair then from bed to wheelchair. So I literally slept in my DX racer for the first week and a half after surgery. If you are going to sleep in your chair for any reason then I would go for a racing chair. I own both the Destrier and a King series and honestly prefer the destrier for everything else. - food for thought.
The asus chair could of been perfect if ASUS didn't limit the tilt angles to only 4 positions and also could of improved the headrest which is terrible, I give the asus chair a 6/10. if yall are looking for the perfect chair I don't recommend the asus one, but if you like paying overpriced than go for it by all means.

Ive seen some comments about the mesh from the seat bulging down and making the people feel the hard part of the seat after a few months, did you have that issue?
I've owned 3 secretlab chairs. Why did I buy 3 over 5 years IDK i hate them. My spine hurts. My neck hurts. My back hurts in long sessions (from not getting up enough as well). Lately my tailbone bone hurts. Its the last one I ever buy. I orginally bought a 2018-2021 version. Then Tried the titan xl. Which was rock hard. Now I own the 2022 version and if anyone wants to buy it you can. :)
4:17 I'm 1.8m, the edges haven't bothered me when sitting with my legs crossed (either one or two). I do feel them when shifting to a new position, because of the hard leaning to one way to put my leg under me, but after that I don't feel discomfort. 5:48 the armrests the same issue as the headrest, the depth adjustment easily moves out of position, mostly when shifting to a new position if you lean on the armrest it'll shift all the way to the front (height and yaw have a lock, so they don't move at all)
you guys should maybe look across the pond every now and then. because i am tired of hearing " titan evo " this and " titan evo " that. the chair is just an average " racing" optic gaming chair, with shit ergonomics if u can speak of ergonomics at all. in my opinion the time of those racing chairs which are prolly all made by the same company somewhere in asia..is over. people start to realize how bad these chairs are :D the rog destrier is definitly not in the same league as those crappy ( sorry but i have to be honest here) racing chairs. i really like the design choices. but the price is a bit rough. personally i recently got myself a backforce one plus , made by a company belonging to interstuhl germany . and u can see and feel it. 20+ years of office chair/ergonomic experience went into the backforce chairs. you should check those out. its not perfect but a pretty darn good chair with all the ergonomics u can ask for nad below 1000 bucks. and a 10 year warranty speaks for itself i guess. :)
Interstuhl is a solid European furniture company. I have so much respect for them choosing to make their good quality products in Germany, as opposed to poor quality products in China like most gaming chair brands do. 😅
I assume it's hard for them to find Euro chairs, in much the same way it's hard for us to find American chairs like Steelcase and Hayworth. I'd like to see their opinion on Kinnarps but probably won't happen.
