Did Flair Mess Up with the NEO FLEX? 

Having used my Flair Neo Flex everyday for just over a month, I would agree with most of this post. I do have a quality grinder, 1Zpresso JX Pro, and I have found that both the portafilters lock at the same grind. A setting at 1-4-2 on the JX Pro seems to be the sweet spot for both portafilters. In fact, in my experience, there really is no difference between the bottomless (black) and the flow control (red) in terms of the quality of shots i'm getting from them! As mentioned you can't use a pressure gauge on the Neo Flex, well actually you can, but they don't recommend it. I agree, I just don't think you need it with any of the Flair models until you make the jump to the Flair 58 or 58+ With the Neo Flex I start the pull with a moderate amount of pressure to pre-infuse the puck, then once I see a few drops, I hammer it full force til i'm 3/4 of the way through the shot, and back off the pressure! Lastly, I don't agree with Flair's directions to "Lightly tamp" your grind. You'll never get a correct water disbursement if you don't tamp the grind correctly, and light isn't going to cut it.

So glad you showed that grinder at the end lol. I have that exact one and was curious if it could get fine enough to try the black portafilter

You mentioned that this would only make a decent shot. Is there something else from Flair or another company in the same price range that makes a better shot? Im in the market and considering a Flair classic or Signature.... Possibly a Pro 2 but not sure if i want to spend that much.

Between neo flex and classic, ¿wich will you prefer?

I'm leaving the automatic machines because of the plastic. Do hot liquids touch the plastic parts of the Flair Neo? please help

What makes the regular pressure gauge incompatible with the Neo Flex? Isn't the cylinder the same as the Classic and Signatures models?
