They needa stop stealing shit with no credit n slapping they own name on it now these kids thinking these dances r from fortnite😂😂every time a kid says thats a fortnite dance i wanna cringe inside
Freeman and slave, patrician and plebeian, lord and serf, guild-master(3) and journeyman, in a word, oppressor and oppressed, stood in constant opposition to one another, carried on an uninterrupted, now hidden, now open fight, a fight that each time ended, either in a revolutionary reconstitution of society at large, or in the common ruin of the contending classes. In the earlier epochs of history, we find almost everywhere a complicated arrangement of society into various orders, a manifold gradation of social rank. In ancient Rome we have patricians, knights, plebeians, slaves; in the Middle Ages, feudal lords, vassals, guild-masters, journeymen, apprentices, serfs; in almost all of these classes, again, subordinate gradations.
Very crazy Gamer dude really I did that move first I own it don’t make me go to court because I am losing money because people don’t like my emote cough cough backpack kid lol
As an animation pro I have a few insights to share about how this might've happened. Animating dance moves is hard. Animators have to meet a deadline. The easiest way to find movement reference is RU-vid or Tic Tok. The easiest way to animate this kind of thing is to rotoscope it. I can understand why the dancers who've had their moves exactly copied sued. Your moves look like they were used as reference and inspiration but weren't exactly copied, so it might be tougher to collect damages. Having said that, if I ran Fortnite, I would happily pay the Professor and other high profile influencers and possibly get your fanbase interested in Fortnite. On the other hand, they may have run the numbers and decided it's cheaper to settle law suits. BTW your life story would make a great movie. Has anyone from Hollywood approached you yet?
@@qsano essentially they trace it frame by frame so the timing and look can be near perfect. But what I think they are trying to say is that they used it as reference so it would be hard to win the claim.
Big Bry naw, only for the specific stuff, like where they steal a specific dance that lasts for at least 10 seconds or longer. They can’t hide from those lol. Clapping they can
dude joking is ok but when you are joking about and mocking someone’s religion.. bro it’s just not funny. You really shouldn’t do that and you should rethink your actions next time.
Seriously ppl used to think that by 2007 there was gonna be flying cars and yh here we are 2019 and have the world sitting in front a tv getting dominated by a free game called fortnite....and yh i play it 2 i know im a idiot🤦♂️🤷♂️
I don't know man, with all the pencil pushers and everything, I'm thinking you could have a hard time to settle, they could always argue the emote itself isn't 100% you. It's what they couldn't do, I think, with the woman that settled. The entire emote was 100% hers. It's really your choice, but my take on this: they purposely worked in the gray area to avoid lawsuits, since almost no one wants to go to court over grey areas. You're right though, your moves are inside the emote. It looks like they build on it and that doesn't make what they did more "okay" at all.
exactly grey zones. americas justice system bends its defintions. people that effectively overcame similar situations in the favor of theirs, should be held accountable by a money contract of yours, to overlook the whole scene and make the decision based on your favor and the favor of people who look up to you. at the end of the day youre a roling stone. eihter way youre blessing people. just do not think because youre lvl 100 in bball and lvl 90 in public favor its ok, to not be very very very cautious of impacts of decisions. as thats so important for every human. god bless you
3 years later and he still didn't do anything. I was too young at the time to realize how ingenious Professor was to make a video like this. He was never going to sue fortnite and if he was he definitely wasn't asking for advice from a bunch of younger kids. He made this video to spark his channel even more and get some attention. As you guy's see, it worked. 7m views and 130k likes is quite a number for pointing out Fortnite stealing his move and it made him look all the better that some massive game is taking his moves. We all know in court they wouldn't settle for epic giving him any money because they put enough change into the move to be considered original.
See I don't support that kind of behavior from Epic Games. I think however that it is kind of a tricky situation here. I'm not sure if you can really put a copyright to a basketball move. In this specific case, it is even more vague, as the move consists of 2 moves of you combined. I think proving that the move has been copied from you will therefor be quite difficult. Maybe go ahead and ask them to give you credit by giving the move a name related to your channel instead of suing them. Definitely check the situation with your laywer if you can't resolve the situation otherwise and it really is worth the money for you. In conclusion: Unfair from EPIC but very vague.
i love the ending just like video game loading screen. i think we are blessed for having you. you deserve justice. if justice is defined xyz and after that definition there was injustice done to you. you deserve repercussions. i think its great that you stand up for your right as a public figure. figuring out your justice situation is for the eye of society likely morally correct & beneficial. as people stand up for their justice more likely when they see people whoms action they more likely copy to higher ratings of inspiration, rapport , "role model factors". youre doing the right thing. keep going. people dont just see you. they observe the bits that your videos emission. the bits happen to show healthy human actions & interactions. the type of way of actions, and that consistantly, what makes it healthy principles and values. or more "effektive" to be more correct. with that youre in the category of modern day superheros. if the xyz definition states that technical there was not strong injustice done to you from their source, you could still sue. the american justice system has repeatedly shown actions defined as bending its definition of justice and injustice. i think if you have the resources step one is get a proffesional evaluator that can be a direction specialised lawyer or lawyer team to evaluate the situation and probability of abc result. if a is in your favor but b c are highly negative impactful, then you need to decide with the proffesional influence, if the probability of unwanted favor b & c is high enough that probability percentege of negative outcome/ impact is too risky to take. compared to the positive outcome of a. etc. 1. proffesional influence. yet if abc1 result is positive c2 result is negative, why not. when there a factors of injustice do not feel immoral for these steps of direction. like you said other figures have done it as well. compare fortnite yearly income to yours. compare the "light" you emmission & the "light" fornite emissions. yes you both emission light my personal opinion, you can do more with that money, then them, when it comes to people, you need to raise your circle of influence according to how well it is for the people. meaning when you impact xyz people +10 and fortnite xyz +5 (example), feel justified to higher your radius of influence. use that money to do whats right. especially kids look up and mimik actions of what they see due media. they would benefit seeing you more globally. you have proven to be an blessing for people. be aware of the realistic objective reality. modern day "superhero" :)
I play A LOOOOOT of fortnite (and quite a bit of bball as well) and can definitely confirm that NO ONE, i mean NO ONE, has moves like yours Prof, I fricking love you brother
Well you specifically came up with a move that is yours and yours only. And a video game comes in and makes money off simply taking your move to help them make money. Doesn’t ask permission to see if it would be ok at the very least. Just goes around stealing all these signature dance emotes. Instead of coming up with their own? Idk I’d say they owe you some compensation of some sort. No one wants to work nowadays but everyone wants $$.
Zorvurb r u high is the question because he’s right the backpack kid made it popular but it was originated from a kid a couple years ago so U stop with the weed
I highly recommend that you don't try to sue over this. While your moves do look similar there's no way for you to prove it's your own intellectual property. I've studied copyright law for a number of years and to my extent, your moves will not be protected under such a law. You cannot protect individual dance moves (or in your case, basketball moves especially). In intellectual property law, it is possible to copyright a dance, but not an individual dance move. The dance must have a series of movements that are arranged in a unique, original sequence in order to have copyright protection (which is why the Fortnite settled with the woman that sued for Electro Shuffle). While it might be legal for Epic Games to continue "stealing moves for emotes", the problem with it revolves around the ethics, which is absolutely not enough to win a case. Hope this helps.
Atom Mixes wtf u don’t know what boogiedown is u fuckin stoopid regard that was a challenge in season 4 if u won ur dance would be in the game most kids used other people’s dances in the game challenge then fortnite choose them and the dance the people said “they made” and fortnite dident know and put them in there
Dude this guy can’t get mad that basketball moves are in fortnite even if they took his moves it’s a damn trick like he’s getting offended over nothing
Edna Coronado Just imagine making something, and getting it stolen from you to be on something where it will get seen more, and then when you do that move again people will think you stole it, when in reality they just took it without credit and now you’re the bad guy.
I was an animator on a video game and a lot of guys use references; one guy literally took texture maps from 50 cents pics to built a 3D 50 cent and I had to change it.
@@victorramanzini4090 it's the same thing if I'm dancing for money or if fortnite allows u to buy skins its your choice whether u wanna give them money or not its technically the same thing
