Well, this video just made our day! Thanks for your kind words. We'll be working hard to improve our tools, so that creatives minds like yours can make use of it. 👏💙
Midjourney is pretty bad looking when you try to use all the ‘limited’ tools to guide your image imo. Style for instance is often crap (compared to Leonardo for instance). When you leave it free to come up with stuff it’s fantastic though. But for professional use, you need that control
The sketch to image is great. The ui overall is more tuned to designers rather than midjourney's more code like style which can be a plus for some and the upscaler is quite better too. But after quite some testing i find it that for my liking I can get to a great final image way faster in midjourney and that the overall results are far superior, granted that the way to "speak" to the models is different and i could probably still optimise further in freepik. The 20 image max upscales in freepik, however, is not good at all, specially cus all the real "magic" happens there. Im glad to see some competition and to see they're doing quite allot of it right. will be keeping an eye on this tool.
I'm late to the party. I am an avid MidJourney user and love its quality. But many of the tools they talk about doing in the future exist now already here in Freepik. Remove (and inpaint) a background, expand (which is zoom and resize and pan all in one) and new things like Sketch work really well. The reason the grass wasn't working in his sketch was that "grass" needs to be in the prompt.
After the upscale tool, the image you get is literally MidJourney level but only after the upscaling before that it will look unpolished. Though you only get 20 upscale a day which is not bad you just have to choose wisely which image you want to upscale.
Thanks for the video! IMHO getting the workflow right and supporting creators in all critical parts of their journey is the key here. The gap between models will be non-existent in months anyway, and those who nail user experience will be the winners.
Freepik, is far from the quality of midjourney. The freepik ai generator is equivalent to dall-e. The render parameters that you use with graphic interface in freepik are available in text format parameters to include in the prompt of midjourney. For the speed, you have 3 levels of speed for midjourney. For the moment, midjourney remains the leader. Maybe it will change in the future, but not for today.
I dont feel limiting yourself to a few options of lighting or styles is really a good road to follow.. You should just be able to "prompt it" - like some of the simpler ai image generators where you are forced to prompt everything you want and use your own creativity, like telling your own story /writing a novel.
I wonder if they simply store everything their clients generate and add those variants generated by others to your results. They are an image bank after all.
Does this mean that I need to have only freepik and I’d have access to magnific too? Does freepik still cost 20 bucks a month? Bcs magnific is a horrendous $50 a month.
Changing to turbo mode and using --r 5 or higher will result in several images being generated quicker within Midjourney simultaneously (while using within Discord). Plus, I am sure the generation time will be ironed out in future iterations to be much faster, as well as the current UI be overhauled to allow for better options in subsequent versions. (Particularly with knowing about certain styles before choosing to generate an image for example) Midjourney will always be king in my opinion. It is only after upscaling within Freepic that there is somewhat of a semblance of quality compared to Midjourney. Otherwise, it is below par.
02:28 ..that look exactly like I need them. They do not look like the generated image you show! MJ gives u quality, FP gives you quantity.. FP can't replace MJ at the moment. Also Magnific is insanely pricey.
Great video. The code you provided worked and is awesome. Sorry you’re taking heat for an unsponsored video. Totally unnecessary when you are providing education and access to a tool. Keep up the great work!
Freepik now have the options Flux fast, Flux and Flux Realism which grants AMAZING results and much more faster than MJ. Really guys, freepik with those new models, its breaking any other image generator.
You can easily do all that and even much much more totally free locally on your PC..I am never going to understand those website or people who used them
Dude, nice effort. However you're not honest. Tell people that it has a LIMITATION on the number of the generated images for one day. Like 12 or something. So, that means, one prompt.
The time gained in generating the image is widely wasted in searching or fine-tuning for the image that fit the purpose. Even Leonardo AI is closer to MidJourney (tested with same prompt) while being faster (35s) and free. So Ran, unless Freepik is a friend of yours, You should go for Leonardo AI for faster generation and better result. And I'm not affiliated !
Thank you! This solved my issue. I couldn't get what I wanted from any other models. It actually gets hands right and I love the multiple choices. Definitely worth trying out with the trail. Made my last video so much easier.
I think you have'nt used the adobe firefly thats just amazing in quality and results also in speed, thats the competitor of midjourney, not the so called freepik.
Freepix didn't get hands right. I tried creating a family photo and the hands and some body parts were misaligned. Out of the many created only a few were usable. Mind you, I haven't tried other styles.
Good alternative. However, it doesn't work correct on Landscape mobile yet. If you have a long prompt, the Create button cannot be reached. Also 20 upscales per day may not be enough for some people. Maybe Freepik, can explain why it says 'Unlimited Downloads' on the feature premium page, but in the FAQ it says '100 downloads per day'? And clicking on your referral link, it says the account is premium, but cannot select the premium options like color, camera etc.
