Nah they do that with products they deem niche in the first place, and it's usually hardware, in terms of software they hardly kill it, they either change it in general or make a new version...This ai stuff would've been dead long time ago, but since were here. I doubt it'll go anywhere, not only because Google does it, but MANY company are actually depending on Ai IN REAL businesses and casual use. Google FI is still going strong, a service I thought they'd kill long ago.
Academically speaking, Gemini as far ahead because it relies on Google scholar, the go to database for academic journals. I think it will eventually overtake ChatGPT as the go to just as chrome did with search engines.
I use both of them and they are really helpful & amazing but gpt 4o is something that has been mind-blown to everyone i think specially the way it speaks.
I think Google really does have an advantage because it's adding these generative AI features to products people are already using. In my own experimenting so far, I think some of the suggested uses are a little overblown, from all the AI companies, specifically because degenerative AI models really aren't smart. So they generate a summary of a document, but they miss key points, and the only way you know that is if you go back and double check everything. But it can be a starting point, which does help the workflow a bit. I'm looking forward to trying the updated models to see if they do better.
Great video! I’m looking forward to seeing how Gemini integrates with Google Workspace. That “AI teammate“ feature looks amazing for incorporating AI into your internal, secure, work data. OpenAI can’t really currently do something (securely!) like that without API’s or through Microsoft Copilot.
Also, personally, I was a little turned off by the new ChatGPT voices, which I found too effusive and verbose. Sometimes you just want your AI to get to the point.
Excellent comparison and as a new subscriber I'm really digging your videos! I suppose the only part I don't agree with is 5:21 on productivity increases "give us a lot of our time back" because that is never gonna happen. We're still stuck with 1940s laws on working hours and any increase in productivity will only mean a higher demand on people's capacity. In my workspace we recently implemented AI for code and everyone's expectation is = "more can get done", NOT "people get to go home early".
Wow that’s interesting and a great point I can see that I was looking at it more so through a student and founder lens and some jobs, but your right I can see for the majority of jobs it increasing expectations and not decreasing time worked Thank you so much for watching this one I’m so happy you liked it
Are they going to lift the ridiculous amount of censorship at some point. As an artist that uses AI to generate references (not just prompt and drop), the amount of censorship severely hampers the output.
I really hope Gemini becomes competitive, because we need better products. Gemini is lackluster at the moment, and it has provided me with a false information just today. I hope it goes better.
It looks pretty cool , and the way it was explaining to the young fella was very cool too ( i think dad was even learning something :) ) , at the same , time it kinda worries me , a lot of people out there may take advantage of the technology rather than actually do the homework and learn stuff , humans have always been very good at cheating the system or like electricity ..... finding the easiest path .
Yeah, people will always cheat, and now it's just easier, I don't think it makes such a difference. Ok, sure, you can cheat your way in school, and that doesn't really matter, but when you get to life itself the game changes
I switched to Immersive Translate because it provides both the target language and translation results on one page, unlike Google Translate which can be inaccurate and direct.
Thanks for explaining simply what a token windows of 2 million tokens actually means in a large language A.I model. The example you gave of someone inserting a whole 15 page research paper 📃 into gemini and having the chat bot break every in the research paper into well strutted organized notes and key takeaway from the research papers was an excellent 👌 example 👍 Thanks so much.
This video is great! You’ve perfectly compared the new features to real world application. But in a way that makes sense and not a 12 min hyper-cut from a 2 hour presentation. And yea, we need to see these google products in use to actually know how it will feel to use
Ever since Bing Chat was released, I find myself barely using ChatGPT or Google anymore. AI hasn't done as much for Bing's market share as Microsoft would have hoped, but frankly I think that those still using Google for search are missing out. Google's presentation reminded me a lot of the disastrous AI presentation they held in Paris in February of last year, which caused their market value to drop by 100 billion dollars, with fake demos, not showing actual ready products. I also don't think this video really answers the question asked in the title (the answer I think is "No"), nor is the question really that relevant, ChatGPT is not the direct competitor of the Google AI stuff, but more OpenAI's language models like GPT-4 and GPT-4o, and what companies like Microsoft are doing with that, for example with the Copilot that Microsoft has put into many of their products. I'm using Copilot at my workplace, and it is really impressive.
As much as I love tech, I'm starting to have trouble keeping up with all of the developments in the AI space. Love getting your explanation so I can be up to date!
Hey cutie! You crammed a ton of info into just 6 minutes! That's awesome, especially since mainstream media seems to be dropping the ball. One question though, with so many subscribers, how come the views aren't quite there yet?
Type who is Alphonso Dunn on Google. He is an artist and he is all over the internet. But if you asked Gemini, it has no clue. Google still didn’t fix this problem. If you ask ChatGPT it will answer with ease. This is extremely basic and easy question. Instead of Google fixing this issue, they are giving billions and trillions of tokens to people.
@@NBTJacklyn Thank you so so much for bringing us those interesting tech news and contents. appreciate your every little effort you putting behind those. keep shining 🌟
To develop a tutor-like prompt, as a developer of that I'll make sure not to give no-one a straight answer but to teach them how to get to it. It's possible to develop an agent like that. But it needs to be trained on datasets geared towards tutorship.
I think Chat GPT feels like a more intelligent person...it is gives complete info even small helpful info to understand something indepth Like let's say Speakers only two AI responses be like Gemini - It's a speaker...double speaker Chat GPT - it's a double speaker which has bass booster and you can have glowing effect lights also while playing...btw don't put too much sound it might cause problem to your ears Something very different...I wonder Open AI did a fantastic job in creating AI and the new GPT 4o is mind blowing 🤯
I agree with other commenters. OpenAI announces stuff they release, but Google not so much. What happened to googles demo of an AI who’d call restaurants for you and reserve tables.
You know what i hope none of them kills the other and they both compete to deliver the best … that way its best first the consumer cause we dont have to choose we can use both ChatGPT and gemini
Good info! I watched the whole thing (almost, had to turn off sprinklers) and had an invite to the discord channel and watch party. I use Gemini frequently and get good answers especially about medical stuff. I believe Gen Z will help carry the torch, am Gen X, and it's great when i see things about AI. Something else I want to see is nanotechnology but we're a ways off. Your summary is to the point and covers some important aspects. ☕
@@NBTJacklynyou're welcome! I got prompts/an invite to upgrade to Gemini advanced and I'm so so tempted! It's only $9 more a month. That's a Starbucks lol and I mainly drink coffee at home unless I've forgotten to filler up. 😂 I'll be curious to see what Apple comes out with!
Google didn't even make a dent on OpenAI. You don't threaten a very active competitor with paper-thin posturing and empty promises. Google's IO slogan should be "Trust me bro".
Data representation can be down sider, limitations can destroy the AI , if can do something unknown by others than that is a smart AI but unfortunately if you want graphs and charts they fail imagine all have similar thoughts 💬💭 processing if can draw and it can describe with drawing give a written page by hand and tell each word could be A Or Z, or drawing such alot of writing style even make draw alot of A's to get them all. But at this point predict the next word backwards or forward reverse thinking 🤔 to check properly by multilingual state. For now I think a child can develop this AI with good practice, so something unique unseen by any one able to generate new stuff on a fly 🕊️💸
I uploaded the same 45-page statistical report to Google Docs and ChatGPT 4.0, and the latter did a way better job of pulling specific data and summaries than Gemini. It’s nice to have Gemini open in the side panel of doc, but its poor AI results are disappointing and it makes me not trust it. Maybe Google rushed it out too fast? I don’t know.
Google does not adhere to promises. Stadia told customers it was in it for the long game short time after it was cancelled some got refunds some did not losing the product forever the Google Mindset.
One more VERY IMPRESSIVE informative content from you 👌❤ 🙏 The way you structure the content and explain it step-by-step in a very simple way , is so impressive always . And it becomes very easy for me to understand all in one go 👍. A 6-7 min high quality content feels far better watching than other youtuber's who simply waste our time in unecessary talks 😄. Thats the reason i always first visit your channel for updates on tech 😊 and keep waiting for it 😊. God bless you more success in your life 👍
I'll prefer open ai because its support more language than google assistant and i didn't get it why they have several models like gemini and assistant and gboard and if one supporting czech language then assistant don't and i assumed that assistant have to be their Universal AI
Call me crazy, or old 😂, but I preferred Google’s presentation much better. For my business I need more structure and seriousness when delivering a keynote. Anyway, it’s just me 😉
in a few weeks open ai will fully released chatgpt 4o with audio and video capabilitys . when that happends, can you experiment with it and make a video what its actualy capable of? :)
Google wasted 2 hours of my time. The entire keynote could have been summarized in less than 1 hour. They have the ecosystem for their AI, but they have become so bad at promoting it.
I don't know about Gemini killing ChatGPT but I'm very optimistic about the fact that if Gemini doesn't improve, it will surely commit suicide in the future.
The opposite if anything. OpenAI's presentation was fun and engaging in contrast to Google's corporate speech thing, but most importantly their GPT4o seems to be much more evolved. Having watched their demos you'd think you actually talk with a human.
The whole point to AI is having one not many AI models it’s so stupid how people think. Both chat GPT and google AI looks shit and isn’t AI it’s just a assistant with flashy power point displays Dr Dre had AI in beats music but apple killed that so we will never know
