Em is definitely a poetic genius. I think there is definitely a level of recognition by people who aren’t just fans of hip hop, but they don’t truly understand, because they don’t dive deep enough into his catalog to really get it. His use of the English language to convey his message is second to none. As you have pointed out many times he can rhyme anything with anything else, and he still makes it all make sense. Someday there will be literature classes studying his lyrics like there are now for Shakespeare, etc.

WTF when you break it down it's insane. Even the whole Cardi B scheme. Nobody would think to rhyme "black widow" with "attracts men though" let alone "capital". Eminem basically has unlocked a way to talk about or say anything and make it rhyme. Most rappers think "okay... Capital.... that rhymes with Impractical.... or compatible.... then I'll put a word at the end of that line to start a new rhyme pattern and switch it up on the next line" or at best will rhyme 2 words per bar. Eminem completely re-designed how raps can be written and actually sound more pleasing to the ear than basic rhymes. It's something a lot of rappers could learn how to use to improve their skills to create songs they never would otherwise. Then you add in accents and lingo into that equation and it's endless. But most just stick with the melodies and emotion behind the song which can absolutely make a great song, but if someone like Drake for instance who is known for rap can't seem to rhyme unless it's a direct rhyme.

Haha guys you are getting to an Eminem appreciation level where you know his toolbox and capability and start assuming there are things where there might be or not, but now you see it possible, which is a common statement about Stans and I recall even you saying it “ some Eminem fans think he is saying some really crazy shit where he is just saying something really simple “ and of course there are those type of people but everything comes from that possibility on what he is capable of

The “red herring” line definitely means he’s the scapegoat, like he’s said in other songs. Also, the case of Eminem is so interesting because people just viewed him as basically a drug addict menace 20 years ago. Meanwhile he’s more of a sort of autistic nerd who grew up around the hood kids and thus ended up acting cool. Then he got repeatedly singled out due to the fact that he’s interesting and talented, so he has fought back against that treatment by becoming vicious. But ay any rate, his legacy is not what a lot of people expected it would become back then. Remember when he was in the ranks of Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock? He’s way more now.

One more aspect of "S on my chest, like it's plural" that no reactors have caught. The S on his chest is plural because he has 3 personas. Marshall Mathers, Eminem, Slim Shady. The dude is LITERALLY plural, hence the S on his chest. The other WILD thing about the "gingerbread" scheme... Eminem mentions Redman. Eminem admits he has 1000 influences, so why did he use Redman here, specifically? Just to rhyme? nope! Redman is also a BRAND of gingerbread kits/dough you can use to make the houses at Christmas time. I promise you Em knew this and made that entire scheme a Triple. Edit: adding this on since you mentioned how poetic Em is and if great writers in history like Shakespeare were understood, acknowledged and appreciated in their time like Em is/isn't (depending on whom you talk to), and there is a funny quip from Ben Jonson who was a contemporary playwright alongside Shakespeare in the 1500s who said of Shakespeare "he flowed with that facility that sometime it was necessary he should be stopped." Basically meaning Jonson acknowledged Shakespeare was so good, so expert in his craft and so consistently amazing in his writing that (jokingly) he needed to be stopped. Em must be stopped, but he can't be. He will continue to be the Shakespeare of our time, surpassing all others, until his death.
