“We are not enemies of Aimee Baruah,” Daniel Langthasa, Member of Autonomous Council of North Chachar Hills, who has been in the public eye since he began a crusade against Dimasa language film 'Semkhor' for its alleged misrepresentation of the community, told EastMojo during an exclusive interview.
After the National Award-winning movie received a wide release on September 23, Daniel was one of the first to notice certain inaccuracies, which he expressed via his channel @DanielRoohi
The movement against the film reached a crescendo on October 30 when Dimasa civil society organizations held a convention where they resolved to push for a “complete ban” on the movie and its showing at international film festivals.
