Honestly, I didn't realize this kind of life still existed in the way your video documented it. Those animals are amazing! I'd also like to say I'm sort of envious of the life you live. Simple, hard working, and very proud. I'm sure it's a very satisfying. Growing up in East LA, I never experienced anything like this kind of lifestyle until later as an adult. ( I feel like I was cheated in someways.) At 47yrs now, I don't have the courage to ever try this kind of riding. 😆 Thanks for sharing these videos, I'm enjoying them very much!

Back in Mexico we have horses for the easy terrain and mules for the harsh terrain them mules are the ultimate 4x4 vehicles lol

Excellent video but why use mules over horses? I’ve had both and still have horses every mule I ever had was to much of a pain to deal with? I would take my Tennessee walker on the trail over any of my previous mules any day of the week

Horse riders are smarter, as your vid showed, mules can get you off in a vicious manner ! Not that horses are on cruise control ....Beautiful and rugged country there. I will go with my horses.

3:40 Dang guys, how many dudes you got in that outfit, what can't sit saddle for hop? LOL I work for food and board, ya know, and the US Army's Mounted NCOIC at Ft. Myer says I bounce pretty good for a old fart. =D 4:30 This is why I carry a folding camp saw, and rope. ;) 5:15 Yeah that's me in that empty saddle hahahah 6:45 Oh boy howdy do I ever miss the sweet smell of sagebrush! Great bug repellent it is. TYVM for sharing this with us all, and bringing back the many fond memories I have had in a saddle.

Going around the downed tree leading from the ground says more about the rider than the horse. If your riding a veteran you trust them horse or mule. A green critter not so much and each situation requires a separate evaluation depending on the saddle mount your on and you. The horse guys as you sneer are older gentlemen like myself. Let me tell you kid as you age your not as strong or sharp and you don't bounce back and heal up from a wreck like when your young. Hurts more too. Happy Trails Boys. It seems like the mule guys should have just thrown a rope around down tree and pulled it out of the way. Those small fold up saws are wonderful, you know for returning down the same trait. Safety first, but whatever.

I've never subscribed to any channels but I had to see this one that was in my news feed and glad I did. Hope you keep turning out these vids, I really have enjoyed them. Haven't had time to see where you all are located, but reminds me of a dude ranch I stayed at in Kremmling, CO back in '80 I think, when Charles and Di got married.
