Had a great time at three different locations. Met my goal of finding a silver half dollar and found my 50th silver coin for the year. Also found a mysterious belt buckle collection. How did it get there?
precisely the kind of thing I buried when I was 10. I've been meaning to go back and see if my stash is still there. back in 1974.. lol. probably not, but I think about it all the time.
I not only enjoyed being on your treasure hunt -- I loved hearing the birds in the background! I grew up in a rural area as a child, but now live in a big city -- and being able to hear the birds in the back ground of your video was so enjoyable for me!! Now. I would say that just being able to listen to the birds sing -- is also a real treasure to find.
That is so cool that you notice the birds too.. I am glad you enjoyed the video.. Spring is around the corner and the birds down here are really vocal.. Thanks for watching.
@@Roller4down Recent studies have revealed Bird song give off a safety and healing frequency effect to humans and all around... they sing when there are no predators about which in turn Signaled to all around, that all is well...
I wonder if the empty lot once had a house that burned down or was hit by some natural catastrophic event at one point in time and these items were in a box or something. I could imagine the belt buckles being someones collection.
it's an genuine vintage 1800's masonic templar "Knights of Pythias" belt buckle. U.R. stands for Uniform Rank. The Knights of Pythias was a secret society founded in 1864 by Justus H. Rathbone. Franklin D. Roosevelt, W. McKinley, W.G. Harding and Nelson Rockefeller were also Knights of Pythias. Great find. The other belt buckles are also nice :)
Lodge pins, belt buckles and other memorabilia from that organization is quite common and not expensive, so it should be genuine. An Ebay search on completed listings will help show that. BUT, I still think it is cool
I was laughing so hard I had tears, your pointer was buzzing and when you swatted the mosquito and killed it it sounded like it flat lined. Damn I should watch more after taking my pain killers lol. Happy Hunting
I would feel a bit strange about taking anything from the pool location in case family members planted stuff their memory, probably not but just something that crossed my mind. I do think there’s a degree of responsibility needed when doing stuff like this. I’m sure you’re one of the good ones by your comments afterwards, so good haul man and happy digging 👍
Guy born in the 60's, got into the belt buckles in the 70's, met slightly younger girl in the 80's that listened to different music and dressed in LA Gear and Bongo brands, dumped his look and music and started wearing pink polo shirts and Reboks to impress her, married her, had a kid, divorced 7 years later and wished he still had his belt buckle collection to go with his worn out 501s, Stetson hat and Larry Mahan boots that he refused to part with...
Wouldn't the 1960 Franklin be number 51 silver? Great find! I live on a more than 100 year old farm and still find nothing but old metal and a few pennies. But I will not give up. There is some treasure around here somewhere. Lol Thanks for the video! Steve
Love the video! I laughed when you dug up that old calculator watch. They were the thing to have back in the day and used to own 1. Best of luck on future digs!
Thank God for you, metal detector/History junkies for giving us some of the most interesting videos in You Tube. Thank you very much for sharing what you find.

That is funny. I found an Avon gold plated ring in Oct 2016. Video posted. Great video. Awesome finds. Holy belt buckle BATMAN !!! I Subbed YA. Keep up the great work. GL&HH
Well done .This is the first time l have come across your channel and l like it so l subbed you. I have hit a Roman hot spot where l detect and find some awesome stuff. All the best mate. Regards Geoff
Great vid - I just subscribed to your channel. Well, I think you found the buckle collection of Howard Wolowitz (from the Big Bang Theory) 😉. Keep on swinging! Greetings from Germany
the "Johnny walker red" and the gun were my favorites on this haul! i can't tell you how much fun it is to watch you find stuff! how much was your little hand held detector if you don't mind me asking? a couple years ago i got a cheap detector for my daughter but we've NEVER found anything even close to this! good luck on the next one!
lonniebelle that would be a Garrett pinpointer. They are used for pinpointing the exact location of the piece of metal after you use your big detector to locate something. You can get on on amazon for $127.
What a nice surprise dig. Always nice to find something different. Really like the bulldog buckles. I'm a big SEC football fan. Sure hope there is a part 2.
it should be made of brass , it wasn't made to hold your pant up , it was used to hold a pistol or sword . one sold in an auction sold for $350 in bad shape
Did you find them with half dozen other cheap ass 60's and 70's belt buckles. Yea, that's right the shed was shedding silver and Civil War relics. Anybody see him use the shovel, or get a reading then dig a hole. Every time he blindly stuck his hand in a hole; boom, up pops a relic. Magical.
I remember going to the Oregon State fair in the early 70s and seeing some of those belt buckle. I bought one and it was from a famous moving Co called snorting nortin with camel on it and at the bottom of the buckle it said humping to please. 😀
How odd I find this EXACTLY A year later hahaha! Awesome finds! Inspires me to get out there with my MD. Although I will tell you, there were many times as a kid I wanted to bury my red knit sweater with yellow knit bows all down the front O_O.
I have a pig belt buckle in the closet that I bought in the 1970s, identical to yours. The P. I. G. stands for "patience, integrity, guts" . Most potheads hated the cops in the 1970s, so this was made then. I have never seen another till you pulled that one out of the ground. Very cool, thanks for showing your find.
Look into the Garrett detectors.. I have the ATP pro and love it.. But for beginners they have the ace 250. You can find them used for a reasonable price. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing; very interesting. The collection was probably stored out in the shed. Then the shed fell down and the stuff was lost along with the ax etc. Your always seeing fallen in barns/garages and such and no one remembers what was in them unless its big.
I also use a metal detector ,I thought I found a ring once, the finger bone it was attached to freaked me out for a month,my friend who also uses a detector found a box about the size of a cigar box but about 5 inches high, sealed ,he could not open it,it had the guys name on it ,with two dates, I told him it was the guys ashes,he dropped the box and was so freaked out he actually got sick,I told him you dug him up by accident, say a prayer, and put him back in the same exact location,it wasn't easy for him, but he did,it took him over six months to start searching again, the weird thing is after I typed this in I look down the list of comments and a few people comment the same thing about a serial killers stash ,you better contact the police in your area and hope they don't implicate you in the murders because you knew where to dig. When I dug up finger bone,it dragged on for months,we did our research and found out that the man in the box was buried at that location as a request, for it was his favorite place to hunt and he felt at peace in that part of the woods.Your going to find all kinds of bizarre stuff under the ground ,the cool part is doing the research. GREAT video hope you find more stuff. HINT,always look near big trees the older the better people would use the ground as their bank, many hid their stash so the yanks wouldn't find it during the Civil war. FOLLOW all known trails through the woods from the south all the way to Gettysburg.Happy trails. Note: nail, boat anchor, axe head, obvious murder weapons, belt buckles themselves can be used as weapons, men could of been lynched with their own belts, how much active clan do you still have in your area? WHO owned the house and shed ?look at county records. BUT then again your mind can make up all kinds of fantastic stuff, and trick you, good luck.
Oh my God....that's really really creepy!! I would have left the ring with the dead...(just to be safe)!! Taken a photo with only the ring, and moved on!!
That Belt Buckle collection is some serial killers trophy collection. The mix tape was his 'motivation/adrenaline' music. Better turn it all over to Cold Case! Seriously though, not even finished with the video and it's one of my all time favorite detecting videos! Some very unique and cool finds!! If you can't dig gold, at least find some cool stuff!!
Cool video and some outstanding finds man . Congrats on finding that worked Franklin half dollar , and rosie for your 50th silver of the year . And way to go , digging all those belt buckles , That could make an awesome return video as well . I have heard Matt mention you in his videos , and I finnaly found your channel .
Fascinating. I bought a 1940's house in Coconut Grove Florida from an estate in the 80's. The owners had an old sears shed in the corner built on a thick concrete slab. There was a ton of junk in the yard and I paid my wife's nephews a small sum to move stuff to the curb and salvage some concrete blocks in a neat pile next to the shed. I got word from a neighbor that one of the relatives of the previous owner had been behind the house poking around that concrete pile while I was away. So I did my own digging and found a large rectangular can had been encased into the slab at the side. Inside were 100 uncirculated 1921 morgan dollar coins and a trove of other silver coins.
Maybe the reason why you found them spread out is when the bulldozers were on site they demolished the shed and simply spread the contents into the ground as infill. Here in England when we do an archaeological dig we sometimes do a Field Walk. This is basically walking up and down fields looking for pieces of finds eg.pottery. These are mapped and the highest concentration gives an indication of where there maybe a building or something else further down.
Great video. I believe all the paranoid comments on here are ultra ridiculous as if everything is a Scooby Doo murder mystery. Lmao. Those buckles were buried over with a dozer. Considered worthless trash in 1980s. Not everyone is an American Picker, burying treasures. You can bury a PS2 game today in 2017, fifty years from now it will be dug up and someone will think it is a Jimmy Hoffa murder site. SMH!
! Wow !. This is going to be a hard one to find on my bucket list. [ #20 find Belt Buckle Spill. ] Ha Ha Ha. Loks like you got a rare find GL&HH Brother.
Pretty nice hunt Jones ! I just Subed yaaaaa ! When you get a chance drop by my channel. I think you'll like what you see ! I hope you find a Huge, Gold, Diamond Ring bro ! Good luck .
I found a few sharp shooters metals, I think I still have one. Whats with all the belt buckles. Looks like a time capsule with no container. Nice finds. I agree, when the soil is dry, its harder to find good signals metal detecting. I was pretty hard core for 25 years. Now I am lucky to get out once a year.
Ohhh... AND... This is One of the Most Interesting Metal Detecting Video's/Channels I've stumbled across... THEREFORE... I've SUBSCRIBED 🔔 GREAT WORK...!!! Joe Central Florida, USA
Your loom badge should say Northrop which made looms the factory was in Blackburn Lancashire uk hope this helps the building was pulled down 30 years ago after a huge fire . Terry
Most awesome. The disc with the square hole is most likely the backing for an Army Enlisted Member, (EM), branch insignia or the "U.S." insignia for the class-A uniform.
