i completely agree! another reason i wanted to do this, was to establish the precedent that people have this option, as a "way out" if they feel like they've accomplished everything they wanted to in the world

thank you for the kind words! :) as for your thoughts about the way i died - i totally get it. it's weird to take the most precious thing i have in this world, my life, and just say "i'm done". but i did have a few reasons: firstly, somewhat in line with what you said, i noticed that there wasn't any real risk of me dying once i had full diamond gear, barring some sort of big risky move or a fatal error on my part. for the latter, that would've made for an anticlimactic death, if i had say, fallen off of scaffolding or got killed by a baby zombie. and that's completely okay! but i would've much preferred to go a different way. i never actually wanted to fight the ender dragon, because i felt that it was too early in the lifetime of this series for the game to already be beaten. same goes for the wither - having a beacon on hand would grant me (and future players) Regeneration on demand anywhere we wanted, which i felt would totally change the tone of the series. secondly, by dying on my own terms, i wanted to establish a precedent that it's okay to do so if you feel like you've accomplished what you wanted to in the world. i felt that i was ready to go, and i foresaw a time in the future where another player inhabits this world, maybe someone who's much more skilled at Hardcore than i, and without any real challenges or motivation to keep playing, they burn out alongside the series itself. in order to prevent this from happening, i wanted to say "it's okay to take your own life if you feel like you've done what you wanted to do in this world".

you're very welcome! and yeah, if i had followed my pattern of sticking to the spawn area, not going on crazy adventures or taking risks, and just building farms and structures, i could've lived for a while. eventually, i probably would've slipped up and fallen off some scaffolding, or got creepered, but it would've been a loooong time. all in all, i'm happy with the amount of time i spent in the world 💯
