There were a few people that didn’t like this game, but it really comes down to theme for me. I was 8 when this movie came out and it scared the crap out of me when my Mom took me. It’s a classic film & the suspense holds up through the entire film. I just love it.
Me too man, my grandfather introduced me to it and it scared me too. It seemed so realistic at the time. While I'm not a super fan, Eliwin and team brought the movie to life IMO... thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
Man, after playing digital pinball for a few years and then getting to play modern pinball. I can’t get real modern pinball out of my head. I had tons of fun. Seeing you mod and play really gives me the itch to have one in my home.
Use the Pinball Bimini lift cart mod by David Vandenburgh. On RU-vid and he provides list of parts needed. Love my cart. Give it a view as a possible option
Hey bud, I hope all is well, I followed Cary's video on it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AgfvFt_l5NU.htmlsi=cqTSAoo7vZw_YmkH Pretty Simple and it get's the job done. Honestly though, putting all my machines on those floor protectors, I don't use the cary much unless I have a reason to move them into another room. I can usually slide them around with minimal effort. The cart did come in handy for doing this though. Have a great weekend bro!
The thumbnail was amazing I keep telling my wife how pimp it is every time you get a new pinball and she knows they are always $10k or more and I showed her and she was cracking up
Every minute, Ralph. Born EVERY MINUTE. ALSO, PINS, the pinball place onsite of one of our Hotels has Jaws. I need to go by and play it. I opens at 4pm.
@@3rdFloorArcade Sounds good man! Just sent you a message on the 1up app. Hopefully you still have that. Didn't know how else to send a private message.
Mason is in the next Saw movie. He was locked into a room completely filled with chicken wings and cups of ranch dipping sauce. He successfully ate himself a path to the door, but didn't want any of those saucy wings go to waste...
Hmmmmm... I'm not sure that movie will do well at the box office but I mean, why not... we've done crazier things.... haha. Thanks for watching brother !
@slinger2112 Whats up buddy, hope all has been going well! Added that Big Ben and Parliament onto my game the other day, it really fills in that back right corner nicely
@@TiltingT Just got back from vacation. I saw PBL has stylized decals to put on the flippers for FF. I have the tighter tolerance bushings and new yellow bats that I think will go well, so will probably do all that with a rebuild. Had a couple "ghost drains" (ball in play and code triggers a ball save or just ends turn), so I think I need to clean the optos on the trough... Or could be magnetized balls. Something is confusing the game code. So I have some maintainence coming up with light cosmetics addressed. It will be cool to see that you've done!
This guy should invest more time in his flipper skills. Not one ball trapped the entire game/ any dead bounces or drop catches. Would make a huge difference for him. But i understand some people prefer to play on the fly
I don't always play this way, but I'm still developing my skills. Thanks for the tip! Maybe playing Venom before I filmed this was a bad idea; that game is so frantic that I usually end up playing kind of chaotically. Overall, I'm still working on improving my skills. I just entered a tournament in my area, so I'm constantly trying to get better. I really appreciate the feedback, and thank you for watching!
@@RetroRalph nice work and nice collection! Id recommend you try watching some streams of tournaments. Can be very entertaining and helps you learn better than any other way
They had Elvira’s House of Madness there. I always played that in memory of my fiancée who was a huge Elvira fan. Plus it was a really good table. The motherboard got fried and they replaced it with Monster Bash. I got good on that one because I have a virtual table at home. That one also died! Now they have Jaws and that one is so much fun! Jaws is one of my top five favorite movies so to play the pinball was a lot of fun! Wish I could adapt my Legends 4K table at home to play Jaws. I just don’t have the equipment for it.
Brooooooo!!! What's going on man! I hope all is well, thanks for always supporting the channel man, it means a lot! You're one of the OG's!!! Retro Kill Dash 9999999999999999999999999999!!!!
I didn't know Mason was having Todd do that so it was a really cool surprise. Thanks so much for watching bro, I hope all is well man. Try to stay cool over in Vegas, it's hot as hell here in PHX.
I see plenty of room behind your pinballs for 4 more machines. Move out those two machines on the opposite wall pull out your pinballs from the wall and just keep four machines folded up behind the current line up and rotate them into the lineup as needed 😂😂😂
Greatxto have you in the hobby Ralph. Keep up the interesting videos. Just some constructive criticism. I don't really care for the clickbait thumbnails. Doesn't sit well with a few of my friends also and it's just cheap and off-putting. Other than that great job.
Thanks for the feedback and I appreciate you watching. I didn't feel this was clickbait but if you felt that way, I appreciate your honest feedback. Thanks again for watching and supporting the video. 👍🏻
Which speaker kit do you have going on Jaws? I have the older version of the PBL 5.25" Kenwood kit on my FF. PixlWav, SpeakerLight Kits, or the newer PBL kit? I'm kinda hoping Stern's eventual lighting kit (which will be released for Jaws) will get code support added for older games like FF.
Hey dude, I'm using the PBL kit on the Jaws. I usually go with the speaker light kits because I think he defuses the light better but I was impatient so I went with the PBL one. I think the stern speaker light kit for jaws will be aweosme since it's integrated with the lighting of the game.
@@RetroRalph boring.. . aint no entertainment. uh oh thr rich wht dude did a 10k mistake lmfao. pinball. ya real nice always about money n clicks. How does this help anybody other than rich pinball owners and ⚾ washers?
Yes, the pinball audio and my mic run through a mixer so I can hear myself and the pinball machine. I can adjust the levels on the mixer and it all goes into the main mix that you hear.
@@RetroRalph does hearing your own voice while recording a video distract tf out of you? I might try something like that. I have that ability on my mic as well.
The Key is having a mixer with near zero latency on the audio monitoring. If the audio is delayed, yes, it will drive you crazy and be super distracting.
How much was the kit? Might ne cheaper to have your original armor powderciated and buy your own T-Molding...but regardless ot looks beautiful .. I'm just enjoying your spiral into full blown pinhead!
The kit was $399, I thought that was a good price for all that you get. I wish they would make more of them. I'm for sure very deep down the rabbit hole at this point but I'm having so much fun!
@RetroRalph We are having fun watching you! I was just asking as there is a local guy to me that will Powdercoat your legs, armor, and hinges for like $150. [ I personally like keeping the coin door black ] And as you know, T-molding isn't very expensive. So I was just looking to possibly save ya a little cash since you keep "making $10,000 mistakes" 😅😅🤣😂 ...I bet it was the powdercoating that was making it hard to screw in your leg levelers. We're the threads powdercoated or just a bad fit? If it's a bad fit, there's another reason to just get the factory stuff powdercoated. On a side note, I just added another mod to my LZ on my channel, it is pretty much a set of art blades away from being a PROmium! Lol
@@RetroRalph owned about 300.. I buy them.. fix them.. enjoy them.. then sell them.. was too young to buy them in the 80's.. so made up for that when I could afford them.. sounds familiar huh.. 😉
I want to get a job at Stern just to fix that damn squelch on reprogramming reboots. I have 2 mini heart attacks on every software update, even when I know the 2nd one is coming... I saw that powder coated Jaws kit at PBL a month or 2 ago. I noticed it was out of stock now, also. I'm guessing someone at PBL wanted to do this and saw it as an opportunity to do a big batch, since I hear its more efficient to do a large batch powder coating over small batches as you can't mix colors in the oven. Fill that oven up! You must have gotten the last one they had from that run. I forgot what they charged for the kit. Is that something you are comfortable sharing? I was considering buying unpainted parts ($100 lockdown bar, $60 sides, $50 hinges, $60 legs) and doing a powder coating run, but it was probably in the $600+ area all said and done. I could see a market for kits like Jaws in colors that fit will with popular machines. I'm not sure what color I'd go with on my Foo Fighters, as there is already a ton of red. If they didn't tape off the threaded portions of the legs when coating, some paint may have gotten in there taking away room for the screw threads to move freely. Could that explain why putting the casters on the coated legs were tougher?
The kit was $399.95 so a really good price for what you get IMO. I think the powder coating was inside the threads that the levelers screw into. So it kind of made it difficult to thread them on... two of them were difficult but the other two seemed fine so I'm not sure what exactly happend. Thanks so much for watching brother, it means a lot! Have a great weekend man!
@@RetroRalph Yeah. That’s a pretty solid price. The parts themselves are $250+ at PBL, so powder coated versions for a $150 premium is a bargain. You could maybe save a little money redoing your existing parts, but then your game is out of commission. You keep your extra parts to clean up any used games you get in the future, too. Good tip in the video about the t-molding.
2:22, my James Bond 60th Anniversary LE literally did the same thing last night while I was playing Cactus Canyon LE remake. Nearly had a heart attack. That sound is as ridiculous as Todd Tuckey making fun of you while working on what appears to be Jacks to Open.
It scared the crap out of me every time... Kim usually jumps and freaks out... haha. The dog's are not big fans of it either, come on Stern, give us a fix for this.
I do not like the feel of a mini flipper. That was the first time I’ve used one as I’m newer to pinball. Almost seems like a gimmick because it lacks a lot of power. But then again I’ve only played on location and machines on location are never as good as what it feels like at my home. Most machines I play on location are beat up pretty bad, and not usually a good experience.
Hmmmm... you could be on to something with the machine being beat up. I don't notice a power issue from the mini flipper so it could just need adjusting. You can adjust the power of the flippers in the software. Or I guess it's possible if it has a ton of plays on it that the flipper needs to be rebuilt, not sure. Maybe see if another location near you has a JAWS to compare. Check out pinballmap.com and see if there's another place to play. Thanks so much for watching man!
I love the Jaws table, but hesitant because I hear the tabs tend to bend or break? Any issues? Your Bond Mods were Epic and I think Live you said you had to include cash? Still want to see a mod on John Wick lose a ball and Wick falls down stairs Or lose a ball and Wicks dog dies (just a joke). Bottom line you have an awesome pinball room. Everyone should have a new stern for each day of the week😮. We see the mini movie of Ralph being an easy sale-but where’s the Begging Kim video😮
No issues with JAWS so far but I did have to install that anti-airball mod thing from Rocket City Pinball. pinside.com/pinball/shops/shop/1282-rocket-city-pinball/10458-chum-line-airball-suppressor-jaws Thanks for watching brother! I hope all is well man!
@@RetroRalph looked like a much needed Mod to stop ball hoping. Looking forward to what you come up for with John Wick (You can’t help but make these even better!). Hope all is well with the family!
@@tyarnold4088 Thanks bud, I appreciate that. Historically the channel was mostly classic arcade game related. Over the past 3 years Ive been doing more pinball content so that will continue. 👍🏻
@@RafConUSMC sadly I took a bit of a loss but like I said, I sometimes do dumb things 😬 The crazy thing is, I know I will own it again at some point down the road. Bond is a great game IMO.
I feel like I'm going to buy Bond again down the road but I'm having an absolute blast with JAWS! Thanks for watching brother, really cool having the man himself watch my content!
what is this loner program thing? Do i have to start making content again to get games sent to me? when did your channel turn into a well produced version of my channel? what is going on here?
I don't know how widespread the program is. It was initiated by a marketing firm that works with Stern. They saw my video on JP and asked if I had interest in making content on 4 machines over a 4 month period....of course I said YES! DM me on X and I can at least get you in touch with the marketing firm. I think it was more of a beta program, I'm not sure if it will continue but it's worth you asking, you would be awesome for it! As far as the direction of the channel, I just fell in love with pinball but it clearly took me forever to realize this amazing world existed. I was so blinded by Arcade gaming. I'm glad I took my head out of the sand... haha.
I feel blessed to have a career that allows me to buy things like this. But you don't need to buy one to enjoy pinball. There's lots of great arcade bar locations. Just check out Pinballmap and I'm sure there's a place near you to play.
You should have kept the bond and just got rid of Klassic Kim’s car lmfao😂 actually no, keep the jeep and Mercedes and just get rid of Klassic Kim’s spotified account
