Top 3 strong and becharis of our dramas, according to me. 1. I would rate Noor as the strongest. She remained resolute in the most toxic environment. She is not only financially supporting her family, but imparts strength to her mom and sister. 2. Falak is the runner up because she has the support of her family. 3. Mehreen, despite her venomous family refuses to sit and cry over her fate. She claps backs, retaliates, takes decisions. A consolation prize for Geeti, who , although flawed, is empowered. 1. The trophy of most bechari goes to Mahi, who despite having education, financial and family support, is superstitious, and is intimidated by a street boy. It’s solely her decision to punish herself. Solution to all her problems seems to be going to a mazaar and apologising ( Haath jour kar), to a flawed human. 2. Our cry baby Rakhshi is the runner up. She loses points because of her illogical, annoying father she has to deal with. 3. Dilnasheen’s major fault was leaving her studies. No doubt, she has the most regressive family, tries rebelling, but eventually has to fall in line as she herself gave up the best choice she had. Conclusion: Family support matters , but eventually it’s the girl who can push the changes through. Choices are always there.
Shahzaib still somehow managed to blackmail Isra into forgiving him. I don't think writers understand the weigh of emotional manipulation and gaslighting. He literally said "agar tum na mili to jeeny ka koi faida nhi" DUDE? DID YOU NOT MARRY THIS GIRL ON GUNPOINT? Did you not learned your lesson? What makes my blood boil is how these writers justifying this kind of mind manipulation by sugar coating it in "ishq". This nation is not evolving anytime soon as long as we keep insisting stalking, emotional manipulation and gas lighting as "ISHQ".
True, the end was disappointing. For weeks they hammered into our minds what ishq is, “ yaar is gali mae mar jana ishq hai”. Tu phir mara kyon nahi😂Isra ke ghar ki sarak par mar detay tu ishq ho jata.😂
Parizad: Second best thing other than AAA’s meticulous performance is the pace of the drama. Fast tracked , changing scenario, introduction of new characters, keep the interest of audience in tact. Lots more to come with Urwa, Noman Ijaz and finally, our darling Yumna. Looking forward. 👍 Another actor who has a wide acting range is Gohar Rasheed and he showed his potential in yesterday’s episode of laapata. Superb! 👏
I comment same about parizaad, yes life is really going too fast among all the long list of drag dramas..really keeps the viewers intact...and i always like gohar he is very versatile actor deserves more apreciation..he can also be good as parizaad im sure about it ...but ahmed is nailing it too
Be it the farewell scene of parizad and saeeda, railway station scene, parizad's expressions while looking at office doors, parizad's wit and expressions on neighbour's "jaanu kahan hai" or the conversation between parizad and jaanu while climbing upstairs.... each one was perfect. But for me, the most breath-taking scene was that of parizad and naheed. It was just like watching a disneyland movie, a perfect treat to eyes and ears. The sky, the tree, the moon, the colors, the background scores.... DOP has played magic in this one scene. I replayed this scene again and again. Only a selenophile can feel this scene; real moon in the sky but dream like spell. This drama has no comparison with any other drama on-air currently. It has its own genre. This play fits in only one category - CLASSIC. Let me say this, It's a "once in a life time" play. P.S. Just like "Raqeeb Se", you have to think whether to focus on watching or listening ... Just a perfect deal
@@aashiidrisi7239 it actually gave us an insight into parizad's innerself. As we can see, his body language in that scene was different, he was confident. And we come to know that he still loves Naheed.
In Laapata it is funny how they want to make a point about women empowerment but Falak who was preparing for govt job, national level player, is a housewife as soon as she got married. No aspirations, no purpose.
Good point as per drama character but in general being a homemaker woman doesn’t mean without aspiration or purpose. Actually it’s freedom of choice either someone wants to work or stay at home.
@@saharqadri5617 Totally agree. Sorry if it came across incorrectly. I meant about her ambitions. They could have just worked on it. But that psycho husband would not allow anyways :D lets see if it will get addressed in future.
@@siddi90 we have not seen the whole drama so don't know what will happen next. Abhi tu shaadi hui thi uski aur husband aesa nikal aya. Abhi tu usko deal kar rahi hai bechaari. I like that the story is not typical so you can not predict what will happen next.
I wish you had mentioned the character Zaid who played Ayman's brother in Pardes. I really enjoyed his evolution from bad company and behaviour to treatment and then a realisation that he had missed out spending time with his father in the last few days of his life. The fact that his mother keeps telling him how his father used to help in the kitchen just like he does now. And the last scene in which he looks super cute at his engagement ceremony. I think a shout out from you would have been encouraging for him as a budding young actor. I loved Zaid. As a mother of a teenager who is going through that rebellious phase, Zaid gave me a lot of hope!
The problem with Laapata is that Geeti's character has been given too much spotlight despite her not contributing as well to the plot. 14 episodes in and Ayeza's character seems to be wasted by now. If the focus of the plot were Falak, Daniyal and Shams then the story had a lot of margin to proceed in a structured and well-knitted way. They could've cast literally any good looking girl for a TikToker role and it would've worked. I think because we see Ayeza in this role, we just expect too much from Geeti. We want her to contribute to the plot but so far it has been futile. Also, if Owais's prediction about Daniyal and Falak's sister's nand comes true then it will be quite cool actually. Otherwise, it just washes over the thrill that we get from Falak and Daniyal's track.
I agree with Wania even if the story was based on Daniyal, Falak and shams it would work in fact probably better i have a feeling it will have a lot of episodes looking at the plot.
Well said, I was thinking why Ayeza accepted the role. The only margin in the role is of modelling and paying tribute to celebrities. Was this her only criteria.
I am head over heels in love with Parizaad. Beautifully written character and is going to stay with me for all the time to come. What a wonderful drama and obviously great acting by AAA. Looking forward to his interview. 😀
Ary to Geo:- hi baby, do you mind if I borrow your ingredients- I want to make a brainless, trashy drama like yours too - Geo to Ary: of course- my trash is all yours -
Today's review is hilarious. 😂😂😂😂😂 Berukhi : cringe, Hiba Bukhari & Sinderella 😑😑😑😑😑 The last episode of Ishq Hai is all over the place. Isra says Shahzaib that she will never forgive Shahzaib, after 10 seconds she holds Shahzaib's hand. Ek dam se waqt badal diya jajbat badal diya. 😂😂😂😂😂 And I don’t know why Azeekah Daniel has chosen this kind of toxic side role. 🙄🙄🙄
Ahmad ali akbar is just a gem..I never missed his dramas, usually he always comes with yumna which always made it more super..but guzarish and yeh raha dil...was just awesome
Pardes was a great watch. A story that almost every household was able to connect to at some level. Good performances. I would also like to highlight how the play brought to screen different pardesis. - Ahsan was totally family centric yet was nearly forced by the circumstances and relatives to work abroad. He and his immediate family suffered immensely. - Ibaad was ambitious but he managed to strike a balance in the end by coming back before it was too late. He reunited with his family - And then there was nomi who never looked back even once. We do come across such stories in real life as well So well done team Pardes!
Guys Saba Fasials best work has to be in Durr E Shehwar. I just recently watched it and was BLOWN away! Hassan, Amna PLEASE do a haute gold on this masterpiece of a drama, it’s so relevant!!!
Loved this episode. Laapata: "loosely knit sweater" is a very apt description. I was laughing mindlessly. Parizaad: Amazing serial...love it. The way he requests Salim to take care of his sister made me teary eyed. Akhir Kab tak is going strong. I wait for your reviews more than the serials
Parizaad: you know what the dream sequence i guess was so relateable for all the lovers out there. It showed love of Parizaad for naheed again. Fake scenarios are one big thing in the lives of lovers ;)
Guys please don't stop reviewing berukhi cause I don't wanna miss my weekly dose of you guys roasting the hell of the absurdities that will certainly ensue in the near future of this drama
Parizaad: want to appreciate that you two noticed that mouth movement of AAA at train station, the dream sequence shot and all these subtle details. I also like that writer/director have thought well about each character. Janu's mahi, ushna's sister even etc. Also the fact that they showed Parizaad getting introduced to the big lavish corporate office. Bcz its so real that any human seeing that for first time will start looking and observing everywhere. Only after it, it will make sense that he is comfortable in Dubai. Plus that Karachi Daal Chawal reference 👍
GEO AND SENSATIONALISM GO HAND IN HAND. I just can not believe that a drama like Ishq jalebi (so impressively subtle) was a 7th sky production and got picked up by a channel like geo, I mean can you imagine that by looking at their track record!?
IT'S SAD TO SEE 7TH SKY PRODUCING LOW QUALITY DRAMAS BECAUSE EARLIER THEY PRODUCED GOOD PLAYS LIKE MERI ZAAT ZARA BENISHAN, MOORAT,DAAM,DORAHA, DIL KYA KARAY AND MORE ALL GOOD WRITTEN. THEY HAVE TO WORK ON THERE SCRIPTS
Geo drama is over rated and just like Indian drama . Actual talented Hum TV bring and Ary drama always start with good story line but unnecessary dragging makes it worst.
Although Ishq jalebi did very well in TRP chart but if we compare it with others shows of geo it was very less. It hardly got more than 6.5 rating. That means people love to see their conspiracy, love triangle stories more. We can't blame only chanel or producers.
really agree for ishq jalebi... it was not only Geo drama but as well as 7th sky... in last 5 years i think 7th sky has given only one sane serial and that is ishq jalebi... i m just talking about 5 years... may be in last 10 years we couldnt find any thing logical from Geo... they are just producing crap... PS Alif was next level production... it was for geo but not from 7th sky
I am enjoying the life journey of parizaad. The experiences he is gaining by meeting different people from different backgrounds and statuses and visting new places. This is the real taste of life to gain new experience everyday. I really felt sad for him when he left university.
Ik you're not reviewing the 2nd episode of Laapata this week but that scene where Daniyal repeats 'to be or not to be'... and then changes his voice pitch (which is a hint to his dual personality) and then finally says, to be it is. That was an exceptional scene! 👏
ufff his magical acting.... and the scene where he brought gold for her wife and usky sath hi raat wali bat phunchi. even in that scene the acting was fabulous
Sensitivity and being very empathetic are often thought of as a weakness in our society, especially in men, and Parizaad shows that it is actually the biggest strength a human being can have it's his super-power and what makes him an extraordinary person. Love how they portrayed this!
Parizaad is a treat to watch. Ahmed Ali Akbar makes it so real...he is a common, chotey shehar mein rehney wala aam saa admi...who doesnt have finesse in his mannerism....but is a gentleman in every sense of the word. He has values, ethics, and is vocal abt his ethics....wouldn't turn a blind eye to the wrong happening around him. The way he comes forward to solve her sisters problems and then speaks up on her behalf....I wish all girls had a sibling like him ,brother or sister doesnt matter.... but someone who would always have ur back so that ppl in ur susral or your husband for that matter wouldn't trample all over you.... I love Parizaad as a character and Ahmed Ali Akbar' s portrayal of him.
Parizaad is a game changer. It has set up such a high benchmark for Pakistani dramas which is very high standard and out of this world… Respect for Ahmed Ali Akbar 👏🏼🙌
Parizaad has to be a milestone in the drama journey. The good Pak dramas are better than any international content. I’m an Indian living in Canada, by the way. Parizaad is exceptionally good and very engaging. It continues the tradition of excellence set by Alif, Dil naumeed to nahi and Raqeeb se in the last couple of years. When a good drama ends, I am on tenterhooks lest no upcoming drama matches up. What would I watch then that would give me a good feeling?
Pardes was Phenomenal project overall. enjoyed episode 1 to end. Brilliant performances Affan and Durfishan Sarmad amd Shaista and Goher as well. very beautiful story , dialogues and messages. Excellent Director and OST.. congratulations to whole Team and ART for good content.
PARIZAAD: You guys didn't mention the whole part when hajan bua comes to naheed's house. During the whole sequence, naheed's expression were quite interesting. When hajan bua first says ke "Allah Chand sa beta de" there were quite evident expressions of disgust on na heed's face. Then as the conversation goes, hajan bua says, "meri duao ki waja se hi to naheed ko itna acha shohr aur susral mila h" naheed's expression during that were also very telling. She had knitted eyebrows and a frown on her face. (you will know what I mean if you re-watch the scene) I don't think naheed's relationship with her husband (forgot his name eh) is going well. These expressions along with what she said in the previous episode about men not being faithful ever. I have a guess or two about what's going to happen in naheed's future.
There’s a very solid explanation for why Minal khan is offered what she’s offered? These twin sisters can’t do anything beyond looking all dolled up - They lack the strength and persona and innate intelligence and talent of girls like Yumna, Yasra, mehrbano, sunita marshal, sonya Hussain -
You forgot to mention Saba Qamar and Ushna shah. Aimen and Minal don’t know how to act at all , they are too focused on their looks . I think they are being casted due to their extra fair complexion skin as unfortunately in Pakistan it’s considered a measurement tool of beauty. I don’t watch any drama where these sisters are portrayed as female protagonist
Parizaaaad scene with her sister was the highlight of the episode. When he hugged his sister twice, when he said all those things to his brother in law and when he cried after that. and he kept crying while going away and saeeda performance was also so good. felt like a real brother sister bond, who are so connected to each other.
I know right. I agree with everything Amna said, it's a lose knit yet I enoy it very much. I like Parizaa and Akhir Kab tak as well made well meaning dramas and then HKKST and Laapata as fun watch. Other than that everything is weird
Laapata ! Is under rated here !!! And HKKST is over rated !!!! Look at the two stories ...laapata is everything new and unique !!! And spot on casting!!! Whereas HKKST is the same old story !same actions reaction ! No new camera technique .....and cast uffffff I don't know why everyone is praising this cast as it's totally a misfit for the characters they r playing!! Why can't they cast a younger cast that would look they have the issues they are having!!! Teen age bachon Waly issues and main cast ko dkh k saaf lg Raha hai k sb NY 2 2 bachy chupaye howey hain !!!! PhD to kara diaa magr issues Wohi bachkana !!! Specially the scene where marshal n aswad are coming down the stairs where marshal is holding aswad's hand !!!! Seems like a couple is going to hospital for ultrasound of their 3rd baby!!!
Seriously same, despite of all the flaws, Laapata is v enjoyable. I am loving all the gimmicks. Shams scenes in the jail, the dialogs of that jail mate, when he leaves, there is this writing on the jail wall, the maid hitting Daniyal with a pan, Falak has a coach for badminton training etc. All these things, i ve only seen in English shows.
Parizad’s request to his brother in law made me so emotional -omg that scene that helplessness of a brother, he feels he can only request - hope to see going forward we will see brothers demanding happiness and respect for their sisters. And more than that the sister strong enough to get it all by herself -
The only difference between our dramas and starplus was that our dramas used to be more natural and realistic and starplus dramas were stretched and lot of melo drama. Now we are slowly going to that direction of more melo drama and less natural.
Prizaad's ost is just apt. That fast music represents the fast pace of parizaad's life as well as his inner personality, his dreams. He is not a simple character, his inner anger and passion is aptly showed by the ost.
Hassan I can’t believe you didn’t like it initially I fell in love with Parizaad ost the first time I heard So painful and so It’s magical I feel so connected because of some toxic people in life now this has become a craving gotta listen every day ❤️❤️
LAAPATA : AFTER JAIL SHAMS IS SO REFINED HOW ? WARDROBE , ACCENT,BODY LANGUAGE & DUSKY FACE ALL VANISHED WHERE ? WE ALL WANT TO GO JAIL IF TRANSFORMATION IS LIKE THIS 😂😂
Aiman was such a strong and feisty character that we could all relate to.And I LOVED LOVED LOVED Aiman and ibad’s journey and how it concluded.Such a cute couple ❤️ We need more romance in Pakistani dramas.Durrefishan’s performance was excellent and I really look forward to more message-driven dramas like Pardes
After so long parizaad is the only drama who's story is moving so fast, yes i repeat so fast..because among the long list of drag dramas every where parizaad life is going really very fast.lol..kudos to all the team and what a comeback of Hashim nadeem after reciving so much backlash on KAM3
She was great in the previous review but little off in the haute bites...looked like she didnt actually know much about the subjects under discussion, she didnt seem much interested in knowing either😀
One one side we see Dilnasheen and Isra brother and the other side see Parizaad. I kept on crying in that scene where he was explaining to his brother in law without disrespecting his mother. So many women are suffering because many husband cannot do justice when it comes to take side of their wives. You have to make a balance between both relations
hassan when you said husband does not pay attention to a woman then she wants to findsomething to be busy and realize their worth i felt you talkedaboutme. i m in that phase of life
We are all more than this. You have the strength to be better for yourself and be a better version of yourself. We should focus on living our life to the fullest for ourselves. Strength to u.
I feel Minal Khan is very versatile actress and her range is very good but yes with the exception of Jalan she haven't got any break through role yet in her career.
Parizaad : It has been a rollercoaster ride so far. The twist and turns, how the characters and sudden change bring a change or an impact on Parizaad's life, his thought process and how he leads after. AHMAD ALI AKBAR, SPLENDID PERFORMANCE. LAND AN INTERVIEW, HASSAN AND AMNA.
I so agree with Aamna. Job isn't only about zarurat. It's not always about money. Its about your worth your role your experiences. Experiences cannot be borrowed or earned through somebody else specially in professional lives. Kudos to Pardes! for addressing this.
I totally agree with Aamna we women work not only for financial independence but also bcz we like to work and that's our passion aur dramao mei ibaad jaise character ku aise bolte nhy dikhana chahiye for God sake we live in 21 century yaar aur Islam mei toh jayaz bhy hai ki aurat apni marzi se job kare kisi ki Zaur aur zabardasti se nai aur hamari kamayi srf hamari hoti aur shauher ki kamayi biwi bachaon k liye hoti hai so plz it's time we strt changing this little details to chnge the embedded concepts in our society P.S thank you amna for pointing out ....you were on the point 👍🏼
End of pardes was good , predicted ..Drama reminded us of Marina khan ji era..was over all a great treat to watch except zoobi who was expressionless Ishq hai toxicity ki inteha i left watching just heard the review . Berukhi new one of hiba is just another version of Qayamat.same father majboori same person same plot..common Hiba ..The tarka of Geo was awful and intolerable .Rejected drama. Fitoor another piece of crap..worst depiction of women .. senseless drama. Amna u always rock 💐 Parizad oscar level drama just comes in category of Raqib se and Dil na umid..ye do drama k comparison me ana itself aizaz hai. Lapata is rollercoaster. One episode is high then bizzare things happen ..ove all a flop project ..Na sar na paon..as said by Amna concepts chork dekhye ..Gohar rashid is worthy of praise no doubt.
I think you guys aren't fully appreciating Laapata's style of story telling, put your seat belts on, is all I can say. I think it's wild and fun and I'm really enjoying it, the out of place comical scenes have been there since the beginning and I think the scene at the doctor's is more or less the same. I love the way its shot and it's thoroughly entertaining for me at least.
Pardes was truly masterpiece. As always I LOVEEEEEEE your reviews about pardes and about all dramas honest reviews. love you guys keep it up. Perfect review of Ishq hai🙌❤
ARY is moving like Geo to impress Indian mass audience and you can tell this by views on drama. I am not typecasting a country but Pakistani drama used to have a very soothing colour palette with pastel, light colours. Now it all change in very bright colours especially yellow and orange. Maximum use of OST is becoming more and more annoying especially when it get sung by same singer in same style. I won't mind ost like hum kahan ke sachay the by yashal or any ost of Alycia, these voices sound soothing. Not only this there is major change in makeup and costumes and jewellery too. It is moving on to keep more focus on wardrobe, sets, makeup instead of story and script 💀🚶
Sorry to say...but TRPs of TV shows show everything which country's audience likes to watch cringe love triangles and affairs...... also very little Indian mass watch Pakistani dramas on youtube... Even I am an Indian and I am oy watching Hum TV's dramas these days.
@@saifulruslan1118 No, a lot of Indian audience watch pakistani drama especially of geo. I agree about trp, Pakistani mass audience taste is also going down. But that yellow and orange frame, directors took it from Indian drama, It's director and channel's fault as well the Pakistani audience for giving trp.
@@anayakhan2208 tbvh....pakistani directors are not able to handle that yellow filter..otherwise in our movies or dramas or web series...that filter looks really good...also I am from India and I can tell you that there are very few people here who watch pak dramas...
Saba Faisal is a beautiful woman with all correct expressions. Danish is a brilliant actor . Minal is versatile. But script was weak and had major flaws.
As far as the timeline of parizaad is concerned, the two train scenes, 1st where nasaaz's character leaves, they're people on the back wearing masks, 2nd when parizaad sets off for karachi, people in train are wearing masks... So it pretty much indicates the timeline is recent or else no one noticed it... I know it's kinda trivial but still it keeps bothering me
They probably did their best to keep the mask bit out of camera frame. But imagine shooting in public these days. And something like a train with real common folk people sitting is a nightmare to shoot.
Parizad an excellent drama from all angles. One small observation when parizad is going to Karachi he takes train from Golra which is a small station of islamabad and probably does not have platform number 5. 😀
ishq hai review is always my fvrt without watching an episode... Hassan: aik swal h mra... naina baji ksy change hui?? Amna: unhu ny u turn mara... 😂😂 I think no one can give such logical reply...😂😂
Finally I made it ☺️......! Loved seeing you both 😍. I am your follower since your 1st review and following your channel since then. Huge fan of you both. Aamna you are my inspiration. Love you both 💖
I don’t understand why you keep saying that there are too many characters in Pardes. People are rarely living in isolation. There are families and extended families. The people you are talking about provide the setting.
Inspite of all the flaws, one strong thing about Ishq Hai was that it was fast paced. Unlike Pehli Si Mohabbat & Khuda aur Mohabbat, where the story has been dragged for no reason, Ishq Hai never felt dragged unnecessarily. The story was moving continuously without any unnecessary Rona dhona. Also I like the fact that It was Isra’s decision to whether go back to Shahzaib or not. She had the authority to take the decision rather than going back to Shahzaib because any “majboori” or “pregnancy” etc
Can someone tell me,in the first episode of Parizaad the elder bhabhi says’meray mian ne 4 4 behnon ko rukhsat kiya hai’...after that they haven’t mentioned those 4 sisters at all and also not shown them...and then why does the only sister shown has the house on her name when they have 4 more sisters?
Why is suicide being so normalised in dramas? Ishq Hai, Jalan, Dunk. Matlab mohabbat na mile tou ya khud ko mardo, ya fakeer ban jao, ya zor zabardasti ker ke mohabbat hasil karo ya zehni mareez ban jao. Geo was already trash, but Ary is on its way becoming geo 2.0. These two channels have literally destroyed Pakistani dramas. So much nonsense is being normalised yet no big name or platform seems to want to call them out.
Agreed 💯! Also it’s always the unhinged/ unredeemable characters that are shown to commit suicide, so insensitive to real life victims of depression and/or other mental illness who don’t have a sense of direction and end up resorting to suicide. The only time suicide was mentioned in a responsible way was in Parizaad where Nasaaz stops Parizaad and give him psychological aid. But that’s one example among so many half-cooked research on suicide and mental illness portrayed on screen (Geo, ARY and even HUM). So sick of it!
@@saniaf258 Exactly and they mostly even show negative characters lose their mental balance in the end in many dramas as a punishment for their bad deeds when in reality people suffer from mental conditions not because they were once evil but because they have been through the worst in life. And such people deserve most compassion. So many messed up amd insensitive narratives are being broadcasted, I've lost count.
Parizaad has lot of shades, ups and downs great story telling and direction but above all what acting by Ahmed Ali Akbar and other cast too. The cherry on the cake was the conversation with Numan Izaj’s charecter specially that when he says interesting name…
Ishq hai: you were absolutely right, it is audience to blame for watching this type of content. Exactly as you said.. Stupid audience...I had only seen promos and not watched even a single episode of this drama, thinking 1 view less out of millions still counts. Unless we boycott watching these type of contents, they will keep making it.
Why Manal khan and Aiman khan won't make it to A dramas :their voices are really stunted and flat...the nasal sound limits them to gharailo larki roles..even if it's a chalako gharailo larki...all the others have throaty voices
Delighted to hear a reference to Satyajit Ray's comment about an unintelligent audience. It is so so true and enables such disgusting content to be made one after the other like an assembly line. Sad reality of our society.
Parizaad , my heart goes out for him His acting is unique, never seen before, so real... I don't feel like it's a fictional character.. P.s . Powerful dialogues ❤️
Today I watched the whole male cast of Sinf e ahan... My excitement is totally dead after seeing every average male actor in the list... Dont know what they were thinking while casting them... I wished all ehd e wafa boys would be there alongside bilal abbass...
