I was 16 yrs old when my Aunt took me with her too see Graceland. It was 1978 and the inside of the house was not opened to the public yet. But we got to sign the wall and walk thru the gates to Meditation Gardens. We even sat in the guard shack and talked with Harold Lloyd and felt such a spirit of Elvis there at Graceland! It was such an electricity! All the love from the fans and sharing in the love for Elvis was magical! It was as if he was there with us spiritually and emotionally! I miss Elvis and my Aunt who passed away several yrs ago. As she was lying in bed during her last hours I played her favorite Elvis songs as a tear rolled down her cheek. She was not alert but that tear let me know she heard Elvis.
I think you already have the most precious gifts; you could possibly have; the memories of the times you and your family shared at Graceland while Elvis was alive.
In my world, as a 16 year old boy in Lee County, in extreme southwestern Virginia, the world completely changed the day Elvis died. I just got my driver’s license 3 weeks earlier, had seen Elvis in concert less than 3 months earlier, and had an Elvis 8 track tape in the tape layer in my car that I had been listening to earlier on the day. Yesterday. It seems like it was yesterday.
Thank you for answering my question, Teresa & Danny. Danny, it brought tears to my eyes when you said you would have Elvis back, if you could have anything. I know you loved him very much. I feel like he was an indescribable human being. He had such a beautiful God given ,voice. If I could have met ANYONE, it would have been Elvis. I hope you both have a great weekend 💗
Does your Daddy still have his Elvis in concert jacket. That would be a wonderful memory to have. I still love Elvis so much and love being a part of the Elvis family.
Danny & Theresa & Billy & Jo & Danielle & Lanny are some great folks. I Love you all & also I'm so thankful for all you all do & how you all keep Elvis memory alive. Elvis & the Smith Family is great folks . Much ❤ from Missouri.

Fr Canada 🇨🇦
2 years ago I visited Graceland and I still can't stop thinking about that visit! I'm 53 but was never a fan, until that visit. I felt something there, maybe his presence. For some reason, I can't get enough of Elvis now. My whole life, it seemed like he was just a character. Visiting his home, it brought it all to life
Graceland is sooo different now!! It's Awesome it's where ya can touch his certain items for extra $ & such, Buuuut to me when I was there in "82 it was something!! 💜 riding up his driveway in the van with him singing blarring from the speakers 🔥 🔥 🔥 & the tours were totally different cause alot of the rooms & areas were off limits!! The Jungle Room{ MY favorite room!!} is where the hairs on my arms stood up n I got a chill 😮-I remember I told my mom "Mom I think Elvis wants us to leave his home 🤭 I LVD THE WAY GRACELAND WAS THEN!! 💜 ~I don't think I could make walking thru now with Lisa Marie there 😭
One of my very favorite songs of Elvis of his early stuff was DONT! Theres a video of him recording it. It was that sing that first caught me to be listening to Elvis.
Danny, hi from a fellow 1963 born Elvis fan! I love hearing you talk about Graceland and how much it means to your family and how much you loved living there. But yet it isn’t the same now. I totally get that. I went to Graceland for the first time this past August and I absolutely loved it. I was so in awe of Elvis home and where he lived and how much he loved it and what it meant to him to provide that for his family. I tried to imagine it full of life when Elvis lived there. But I also understand how it would not be the same to your family now because it is a museum. it’s frozen in time and is perfect. As beautiful as it is it’s too still. But I am excited for when you guys go and take a tour and Teresa can see those beautiful Stain glass peacock windows. Even though they weren’t there until much later. and for you to go across the street and see all the cars that were Elvis’. And I love that purple one in that pink Cadillac… Those are my favorites. Anyway, thank you so much for your podcast and sharing your life and memories with Elvis with all of us.
Hello Danny and Theresa, Thanks for another awesome video. I've been to Graceland three times, the first time was in 1981 or 1982 when it was just opened to the public and it is unbelievable the way you feel Elvis' aura, spirit or presence as you enter Graceland. You really can see why Elvis loved it so much..
Your family has meant a lot to me I'm losing my sight so forgive me if this doesn't ring well please tell Mr Billy and Ms Joe that I love them love you Mr Danny and MRSA very much the thing I would like to have at Graceland is Mr Elvis back and I love the lions at the front door they seem to welcome you in like a friend God bless your family
Hi Danny and Teresa! Great video again and enjoyed the questions! I also love all Elvis’s songs but feel his gospel songs are extra special! Can’t pick one thing from Graceland that would be special but probably yes those peacocks or a picture or Knick nak! Like the way this video ended with Elvis Fans! Prayers for you family and all the Elvis community! Take care out there!💕🫶🙏
Greetings from snowy Sweden! Just proud to say that fellow Swede and pianist/singer Per-Erik "Pete" Hallin got to perform and even record with Elvis, in 1974. Best regards, Thomas
Hey Danny & Theresa I hope yall are doing well. I have been an Elvis fan since I was about 3 years old. After listening to all the stories on here I feel like I have known yall my entire life. I have made good comments on here many times love your show and family as well..Take care sincerely, Darin Jones
Danny and Theresa, hope all is well. Have a few questions. Do you recall if the last car Elvis ever purchased for himself and drove personally was a 1977 two tone Burgundy and Silver Seville with wire wheels? I thought I saw a picture of it parked among several cars on the lawn during his funeral. Do you know if Elvis had personalized license plates on the Stutz, and if so, what did they say? Thanks, Joe
Last Elvis wk as I was leaving ahead back to Ga. I stopped at the Holiday Inn to say bye and get some hugs from Sheri, Angie, Shirley Connell "that lady makes you laugh no matter the circumstance" when I got to Ms. Tisha I was crying like a newborn baby. I didn't want to leave y'all but she said the nicest thing "I'm going to tell you like I used to tell Elvis tears are good for you they cleanse your soul. I cried on your momma's shoulder too. Gosh she smelled so good. Love y'all and thanks for making me apart of your Elvis family ❤
Hi Danny and Teresa. Hope yall are having an awesome week. Much love to you both. Thank you both for all the stories about Elvis. Would love yo see your momma and daddy on here with yall again.
Hi Danny and Teresa, Thank you for another great video! Memories are beautiful because we can always go back and visit with them Mr. Danny. I imagine when you think back they must be magical. ❤❤❤ Grace and Alain from Canada
Danny and Teresa you’re videos are amazing fantastic and awesome too watch I love 💕 those stories about elvis too and I love 💕 hearing about elvis Danny and Teresa you put in so much love and respect and hard work into you’re videos too I always live elvis I’m an elvis fan and I’m staying that way too
There are plenty of things that have been made available to the public for sale of his… I’d want something truly personal to him… like his bible and rosary. They came available at auction and I’m truly sad I couldn’t afford them. What a wonderful set that’d have been.
Teresa, I work at the Fresh Market in Panama City Beach and I could have sworn that I heard your voice the other day and when I finally tracked it down it of course wasn't you. If you guys are ever in the area please stop by and see me. You guys do a great job and love you both.
I’ve got knees like your dad. I was stupid and stepped down with my left foot and tried to turn, but my knee does not pivot. Well, at least not well. So I’m using a cane, but at 80 I’m going to beat this. I’m a tough old broad. Tell your dad I feel for him, and stop chasing your mama and rest his knees! Love your videos. Theresa keep tuning Danny. 🥰❤️
Thank you Danny and Teresa for the video, as always we enjoy listening to your memories . We have visited Graceland many times, even took Two of our grandchildren to visit one’s, The very first time we went we stayed at the Heart Brake Hotel And I’m telling you we have seen many many changes at Graceland ! For us Elvis fans would have liked to see it as ones was. In any case, I can imagine how you would feel when you see it now (So Commercial and Money Hungry ) I highly doubt that Elvis would have wanted That! Appears very different from when you and your family lived there! It’s sad! But I guess for whom ever the owner is now it’s one of those quotes “Money Talks “ We love your videos ! Thank You Arrivederci!
In Europe, canes were always an elegant man’s fashion accessory. My dad always carried one since he was 35 and he always wears suits, hat and carries a cane as a fashion statement. Cool!
Hi Danny & Teresa - I know when i was a kid, having had older parents then most of my friends, i always thought and had a fear of losing them! I think its only natural to have that fear, especially when a child starts to understand people dying ! As for something that I would love to have that ELvis owned, i'm with you Danny, the Stutz and one of his TCB necklaces for sure! I always loved the Stutz from the time i was a child ! Great questions as always, hope you and both have a great rest of the week ! God bless and love ya both !! - Charlie
Wonderful memories. I'm probably one of the biggest E/P Fan in the universe. I was there in 2001, they brought his maid in too talk with our tour group, saw many celebrities there that day! I will never forget somethings she shared with us. What do you think about Pastor Bob Joyce? Was he at Lisa Maries private service 🤔 Appreciate you and your time sharing Wonderful memories ❤
CHARLOTTE?!? Hey! What a show, y'all! That one lady in the middle is from near abouts! Very Cool! Can we rent our own bus at Graceland? Is that a thing? WHEN and WHAT TIME is good with you, Sir? If the MMK is touring Graceland, we wish to be there. Great-Great Show! 😎✌️🤟
Mementos are fabulous! If I was given a choice of something to have, it's a tough decision. I would love to have one small piece of jewelry or the piano in the music room. Just to sit at it would be a complete honor. Just to think of the melodies from that piano is so mind blowing. Yes, those peacocks are gorgeous!! I think that was one of the first pix I took when I got to go. As far as vehicles go, I would love to have the station wagon that is at the Volo Museum. Believe me, any thing personal, would be under lock and key with cameras covering it.
If I had a chance to pick out anything I wanted from Graceland ... I would love to have Lisa's hamburger / mushroom bed that her daddy bought for her. I thought that was the neatest thing when I was a little girl. I'd set it up in one of my spare bedrooms for my grandchildren. OR.... I would love to have one of Elvis' favorite Bibles or one of his book that he really loved. That would be so amazing to get to hold it and read it. Oh well....there's nothing wrong with dreaming. 😀😉❤ Thank you Danny and Teresa for sharing another great Q&A with us. ❤❤❤❤
Love you and your family. I sing karaoke and mainly Elvis songs. I send them sometimes with to your brother Joey. Do you guys sing and do you ever go to karaoke?
That was the feeling I had in October of last year. Everyone else was taking pictures inside the house, but I did not take even one. I just wanted to soak it all in! And Teresa the peacocks are beautiful!
For me if you ask about my favorite Elvis song I compare it to what is your favorite body part ! I could not answer that because for me they are ALL my favorite body parts or Elvis Songs !! Each one thrills me and touches my heart and soul. I LOVE Elvis then, now and forever. ❤❤❤ Love your channel my friends !❤❤❤
Question: After becoming a worldwide phenomenon, did Elvis ever consider moving from Memphis on a permanent basis? He had the resources to live just about anywhere in the world.
Hello there 👋 Danny and Michelle. I love your channel and all your content. I’m am so curious to know if Danny remembers the last conversation or talk that he or Elvis shared before that fateful day? Thank You and God Bless. 😊
Danny, I think you are blessed to have been a part of Elvis’ close family, Billy, as well as having had the chance to have been with Elvis and shared family moments, St thankful that you take the time and patience to share those memories with us and take our questions. I’m enjoying Danielle’s videos a lot. She’s sweet and bright! I miss Billy and Jo. I pray your daddy is getting better and better. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 and we see him soon. ❤️❤️❤️

Question? Do you know if your tree house as kids is still at Graceland? Going to tour Graceland is going to bring back a lot of memories for you. It might be very different from when you lived there but I truly hope you reminisce and it brings you please. Awesome video as usual. Love you guys ❤
Question: Is it true Myrna Smiths son was given a TCB necklace from Elvis? She claimed this in an interview and was curious what the circumstances were around it.
That last question that you all answered, was a great question. I loved both of your answers butTeresa before you even gave your answer I blurted out loud “the peacocks”, so we think alike, lol. Thank you both for doing these great videos. Love both of you and your Momma and daddy and Danielle. Prayers for your Billy. Hope he is doing better.
It made me laugh when I heard Linda Thompson talk about how Elvis rode on EP Blvd in his PJs on the golf cart. Lol I just think that’s hilarious. What a cutie he was to know he could ride around in his pjs on EP Blvd. lol I just think k that’s hilarious.
