Did Meghan Markle Really CHANGE Prince Harry? I Explore Both Sides! 

I don’t think she fundamentally changed him but she has allowed and encouraged him to become his worst self, she is a narcissist and has manipulated him with memories of his mother and whilst it is easy to manipulate his thinking it doesn’t really change your personality so he has always had this side to him, the RF just did a better job of covering it up.

She didn't change him - she removed him from the protection of the Palace PR machine who had worked incredibly hard to protect the public from seeing the real Harry - a nasty piece of work. These two are as bad as each other.

I actually think Meghan has always been this way. There is a video where she was at an event for Suits and she was being interviewed and she looked at the girl interviewing her up and down and had this mean/amused look after doing so as if the woman’s outfit was laughable but she had this cruel subtle smile on her face. She’s a mean girl, 100%

I believe Meghan picked up on Harry’s insecurities and amplified them for use. Harry’s very troubled, he’s an easy mark. I think if meg was a good influence for Harry, she would have been able to sort what he was overly sensitive about & give him more mature options for why certain issues that he would deem offensive or against him are really not as bad as he thinks they are. Who Harry needs is someone he trusts who can inform him on what his reality really is. Ppl like Harry are ripe for picking by ppl like meg bc they are arrogant & childish. Very easily riled up, ego pumped & easily led. I say this bc I know someone like meg, who come into a family and was able to gage the weaknesses & sway the dynamics of the fam in order to play for dominance in their partners life. Part of that comes with separation of family, creating drama where there isn’t and making more drama over something innocent In order to take control of both of their lives. A person like this can’t do that with someone who is very self aware, Harry was the perfect mark. This is happening to Harry bc his family have always felt sorry for him, instead of making him learn some tough lessons. I have a feeling that bc harry isn’t very intelligent, he was kept away from a lot of the “adult” decisions which made him feel like he was being worked against. But for those “adults” in the room, dealing with Harry prob was a difficult issue. Much easier to just go over his head than deal with his antics. I would also note, it’s very likely she did a lot of homework into Harry in order to create her big love story. He was sold on her very easily. There is NO doubt, she will leave him high and dry, and I’m sorry but Harry needs this lesson, the same way Diana did when she fell for the reporters lies. Harry’s having his own moment.

I am inclined to believe marriage emboldened Harry the way he is today. He certainly has a lot of pent up rage and adolescent resentment and by virtue of having someone by his side allowed him to reveal his true character, which is the antithesis of a carefully groomed prince. Harry’s interviews, documentary and memoir are peppered with so many cringeworthy character flaws that that is the real person he is with or without Meghan. With Meghan, they feed off each other’s irrational delusions in a very destructive way.

Narcissists don’t apologize or ever feel regret for their own behavior.

She was offered help by others by the Queen but knocked it all back.

I must say, the palace did a tremendous job in hiding what an unpleasant person he is.

There are stories with Diana that she did not set up boundaries or give Harry "punishment" when he did bad things. His racist slurs (attention getting/meant to embarass others?) Started in his little boy years. He'd be on double decker with Diana and start to mouth off to the ticket taker who was South Asian. Also riding his tricycle into an officer's shins - nothing. There's pictures of him kicking Wm in shins when he got hugs from Harry's Mum. Nasty little thing.

100% agree. There are a video of Harry abusing a polo horse to the point it had to be laid to rest. Well documented in the press at the time. For me, that’s the line. Animal abuse says it all about a person’s character.

In their engagement interview, Harry said he and Meghan were going to teach people the right way to think. I found this the most disturbing thing about the interview and don't understand why noone has mentioned it in light of the events of the last years

I think it was Tom Bower who said that the only reason people believed Harry was a good guy and blamed Meghan for everything was because he has always been a better actor than she is.

I've been saying this very thing from the beginning. He's gaslighting her, she's gaslighting him & they're both gaslighting the everyone around them. They're both projecting their own insecurities on to everyone else.

Is there really a debate? You can't grow a pernicious weed that fast unless the root is already well established (just because it's underground. & you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there). Now the pair are like Japanese Knotweed.& no one can dig them out.

So that would be her excuse for why she alienated the RF? What excuse would be made for why she doesn’t speak to her own family, especially to her father who afforded her a great education and was still paying for it even after she started earning thousands from Suits?

It’s as though Harry had deep underlying hostility towards his family, and all along I feel Megan has bought it all to the surface.

I think that they are two of a kind and both are mean, jealous and spiteful. They suit each other perfectly. So sad that they didn't just go away and live a happy life.

I read a brief interview of Chelsea Davies where she was quoted, literally in quote marks that she broke up with Harry because he spent so much time complaining about his family, non-stop, and she realized that listening to him was not helping in any way. So she told him to get help, and she left him. I have heard many speculations and I think he claimed he broke it with her, but that is what someone like him would say.

I went through a situation with my sister that seemed so similar. We had been very close for ten years of our adult life, after a difficult childhood where she was the jealous spoiled baby ( her words), I was trouble destroyed middle child. She meets a man that she's going to immediately marry and have a child. I can tell he's a womanizing man who has her paying his child support for two other children, by two women. I let them know I disapprove and naively think my sister will listen, but instead she rewrites history and makes herself victim of me. I so identify with William in all of this. I think it took Harry of No Conscience, and Meghan of Manipulation to do what they have done. Oh, and my sister went back to meth, which helped to implant ideas. Drugs are the vehicle I suspect Meghan has utilized. She's on to bigger fish, which will leave Harry high and dry. My sister never recovered and she never felt remorse.

Eureka! I have said this all along. A few years ago, I watched a video clip of Diana with H & W, and they were watching a polo match. Harry sat next to Diana and William sat on the other side of Harry (which btw, is how you see this dynamic when it’s the 3 of them which is another topic). Harry kept nudging and subtly jabbing her. She was visibly irritated and would push his hand away, sometimes throwing it back with force, repeatedly telling him to stop. But he wouldn’t. Rather, he would laugh, and looked amused by her increased anger. All the while, William, sat there without joining in as if he wanted to do something… but stayed out of it. That, along with similar videos, showed how he gets pleasure from irritating people, enjoys annoying them, retaliates and stories of how he punishes at will, makes me wonder if he has some kind of chemical imbalance or something… it is odd to watch. Seriously, he doesn’t seem right in the head 🥺. So I agree with you. Harry has been like this for a very long time. He is influenced by M, but she equally is influenced by him thus, they perpetuate each other. Thank you for your analysis, well done!

I enjoyed this video! There is so many trash videos on Meghan and Harry. I think Harry has been spoilt beyond belief. He is cruel and has no self awareness. Meghan is just with him to get as much money and fame as she can. In my opinion ,he was grateful to find someone to take him on. I remember Harry saying there is so much to do in the world to help the more unfortunate. I ask you ,what have they done for anyone since leaving the royal family. Hi 👋 I love your channel! I think you’re right, Harry was a loose canon when they met. I’m in Sydney and remember the 2013 visit here by Harry, well before M was on the scene. Harry had a whole day of duties in Sydney which were televised live, because Aussies were fond of him. He had a military salute etc on the harbour, got changed and then did a walkabout, then went to the official PMs home, Kirribilli House for a semi formal reception which was also shown live. Our PM Tony Abbott, stood on a small stage with a mike, to make a short official welcome speech to Harry. Well……Harry was nowhere to be seen! The PM was talking to himself and looking confused! Then I spotted Harry through the glass doors behind the stage, enjoying a beer, giving an occasional glance into the room. He completely ignored the short moment on the stage. I giggled a bit but realised it was rude. So he got away with that, I can’t think of another royal who would have done that. We loved him, the press did not mention it, but I happened to notice, so he was never really set up for a royal role and he will never be. Avid Gardner sent me here! 🌹

Harry at 3 years of age picked up two handfuls of rocks, and threw them at photographers. The rest is just noise and excuses. He's always been 'troubled'. I like your fair analysis of the dynamics between Harry and Meghan. I think they came together, both troubled individuals, and created 'the perfect storm'.

Harry stated in the Oprah interview that there was only one conversation about their children's potential skin colour that took place while they were dating. Meghan immediately jumped in after Harry, and embellished that story by saying there were MULTIPLE conversations while she was pregnant with Archie. Harry piped right down and let her do that. She is running that show and he willingly goes along with it without question.

I’ve often wondered what Harry did or did not tell his future wife about what life in the RF might be really like. I suspect he so desperately wanted to marry and have children (his own admission) that he painted a rosy picture and she in turn had already sold him a false image of herself. Maybe neither, for their own reasons, wanted to see the reality of the situation pre marriage and when concerned family/friends tried to counsel them, they isolated themselves rather than listen. Harry is a lot like his mother - temperamental and volatile and his wife is the same so I think they have brought out the worst in each other.

It was obvious that Harry didn’t have a lot of resentment for his brother and Catherine until he met Meghan. Meghan has dumped and ghosted so many people in her life that it is an obvious pattern for her. Harry was very loyal to his friends and family until her. So there is no question who led who in this case.

I think she did change him as in he seems to have become less impulsive but I think she created a malicious calculating monster aided by his paranoia from prolonged drug use.

Loved your perspective. The only thing I blame Meghan for is coming into a new family and not giving it much chance. She then goes on national television to talk about her in-laws and their corporation in the most dimmed light. Did she herself not like anyone she met ? this is not a new can of worms for me, this is what i’ve thought all along, it’s both of them, the other young women he dated didn’t share his views, but meghan wanted out before she got in, i believe it was her that said if you’re unhappy, i’m unhappy, we could just leave. He’s even said, meghan showed me i was trapped. He needed a partner in this emotional betrayal of family and country, she serves this purpose….he may be unhappy, but she did get him out….at some point he’ll tire of this continual anger at the world, but it’s going to be years, for now he is caught in playing out the role he’s created. yet i love my brother, i love my father, he wants some of the RF part, the perks, not having them recoil from him. His immaturity keeps him from understanding how this all has affected them, like the 12 year old i believe he is. Zero mature self reflection, or understanding how he’d feel if William and Catherine did this to him. The problem with saying that Harry was instigating the problems with the Royal family and Meghan was taking her cue from him, is that it it igores Meghan's fractured relationships within her own family. Harry got on well with his family until he met Meghan. Meghan had a history of family breakdown which pre-dated her marriage. She was bad news IMO.

I think you are right about the lack of consequences. H. does act as if he can say and do whatever he wants at any time and expect everyone to be ok with it and still treat him kindly. I believe H. has been carrying around a lot of jealousy and envy, but I also think that a lot of the grievances and resentment has been nourished since he met M.. I suspect he would tell her things with a laugh and say "And then this person said this...", and then M. would react with shock and horror and convince him that this is something he should be offended by. After a while he would start thinking that he has been letting people get away with being disrespectful to him and reviewing his life through that lens.

I think he’s always been a problem he was just trained to hide it. She would never have gone with him if he hadn’t had a title of money behind him. After all, she said she wanted a famous guy… normally that comes with money or status so she could make money

What is so interesting to me is that his “badness” is a reflection of Diana’s parenting skills.

Harry seems distrubed for sure but I think someone a bit more calculating is steering him, leading him down a destructive path for their own ends. It appears to be a Folie à deux. They seem to feed each others fears and insecurities and they are constantly oscillating between obsessive control and paranoia. The sad thing is Harry seems emotionally unstable due to his self-confessed dr*g use (my opinion based on what he said, what I see of his actions and his appearance). I don't see this ending well. Princess Diana also courted the media this way and her life spiralled out of control with devastating consequences. I agree, in part, with what you're saying but.......I think MM got the measure of the hapless Prince within 5 minutes of meeting him! She, over time, would have heard all the gripes and supposed wrongdoing of members of the family, the press and the palace officials. I'm pretty sure she saw the actual truth, but it gave her a way of manipulating him into doing what she wanted all along, which was to live in the US as grade A celebrities. By playing up to his fears about his mother and feeding him stories and planting stories in the press, she made him so paranoid that he felt he had no option but to leave the UK. Much as he might have wished for a life outside the RF, I think even he knew he wasn't equipped (or bright enough) to do anything else, but she painted a picture so believable, that he fell for it. I think she brought into it as well, she truly thought they'd be superstars. That might have been true at one point, but then they made the fatal mistake of opening their mouths and spouting lie after lie to make themselves more 'interesting' and victimised - after all you're going to need a pretty good reason for ditching one of the most priviliged, famous, loved families in the world! I don't think she 'changed' him, he was always like this, but I do think she manipulated a man/child, with chronic paranoia, jealousy and mummy issues and used him for her own ends. I think she would have much preferred a half in half out scenario but by that time she couldn't controlled the monster she'd prodded awake. A tiny part of me sometimes feels sorry for her, because I do believe she has feelings for him, but she's now living with the consequences of her actions, & let's face it ladies who of us would want to be saddled with a character like PH? I think Harry related these questions about the age of his son, finding them amusing, and Meghan came up with "they are racist", and convinced him so. So it's Meghan who started this, not Harry.

Dear Vintage Read, I was just watching some of Suits and her character, Rachel, is known to be a woman of colour - biracial. Since you are reading many of the books, I wondered how and when Meghan's identity in the UK became equated to a woman of colour? My recollection was that it was b4 marriage and gladly welcomed. But, I don't remember the particulars.

She tapped into an unintelligent, vain, spoilt man, treated his friends and family unfairly and poorly, and then took him away from them to isolate him in their fake castle in America where he now completely sympathizes with the person who did this to him as being the victim, and believes that his abuser is his saviour. I was watching a 3 part documentary which was being narrated by Diana’s former butler and he saw Harry as a very kind companionate child and young adult when he knew him. He said William was more stoic like his dad. He recounted one story that Diana’s engagement ring actually went to Harry after her death but he passed it on to William to give to Kate because he wanted it to be worn by a Queen one day. I wondered why this didn’t make it into his book because it paints him in a kinder light than most of his stories. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think Meghan only changed him in that she knows what buttons to push in order to get what she wants.

Your speculation may be correct, however, if one examines Harry’s body language during that portion of the Oprah interview, he appeared to be utterly ashamed of what was being said. If he was behind the anti-family rhetoric, and Meghan was his pawn; he would have had confidence and glee that his plan was working. To me, he looked like a dear in headlights. Not totally aware of the significance of what was being said or the reason why they were talking about it. There was a moment when Harry tried to minimize the comment about skin color, and Meghan, very forcefully, turned to him and said something like: “no, we are going to tell this”, and he looked down and wanted to crawl under the table to hide. In that moment, I saw a man that was manipulated and very uncomfortable. Even a bit scared. Meghan’s body language was that of a cool mastermind thief, stealing the priceless diamond while everyone watched. I don’t get the impression Harry is a calculating character. He’s not that smart. His motivation in life is to be loved; not to destroy. His drinking and drug taking is to numb his feelings. Meghan’s motivation is to destroy and conquer. She has no feelings.

I love your perspective. Highly branded Harry meets highly branded meghan - yes. He really comes off as a resentful, jealous guy in his book and that does seem to drive his perspective on everything.

I think Meme had an agenda from the start to catch a prince, however, I also believe that Harry has always been a mean little snark and Meme has just poked the flames higher and let him lose with it. Talking abut the race allegations..... I don't know if Harry is to blame what information was passed on to her about things that were discussed, BUT... The fact, that Meghan discussed this without Harry being a part of the discussion with Oprah and her, tells me that there were differences on how they both thought about this. The other thing is, that Lady C did actually told what the whole discussion was about... It wasn't a discussion per say, it was more a gentle joke on how the mix of a red-head and a person with afro could look like. This was mentioned by Camilla without a bad intention.... she painted a picture of a child with ginger afro. They both are so very toxic!

I have not considered this angle concerning H&M. I can see how Harry’s projection of his family could ignite the flame of Meghan’s schemes with more ease & confidence. I still think she planned to take Harry and leave the monarchy behind for Hollywood.

This is no longer a family issue King Charles needs to put your country first without question! He has allowed this whole Harry and Meghan situation to get so out of hand. Look at Megan in tv interviews before Harry and she is just the same, My mother was a narcissist they control you, take you away from friend's and family so your dependent on them, they distort your way of thinking, in Harry's case his family is against her, racist, look how they treat me 😢 and they can't answer back so Harry believes every word, Harry himself will be belittled by her and compared to past boyfriends ( Trevor's bracelet she wears ) and her past life - so he will be forever wanting to make her happy. But a narcissist is never happy, they want bigger, better, more expensive, more power, more money and if Harry can't provide it she will move on to someone else who can, and she has done that all her life.

There was an interview years ago, where Nutmeg was asked "William or Harry" and she said William. So, there's that...

I agree one hundred percent the only thing MM likes about Harry is his title/status and his access to famous people and perks. She would have had zero interest in him without the title; quite ironic because he falsely believes she is the only one that loves him for himself. It's like watching and waiting for a car crash... narcissists' relationships always end with the discard. Either she discards him when she's used up all his resources, financially, physically, emotionally, business-related, image, status etc. Or he discards her because he is so depressed he has to escape it die. Excellent analysis, however I do believe that it wasn't only through Harry's filter that his wife came to form her opinions of his family. When you look carefully at how she operates, she was always going to be jealous of anyone who was prettier, had nicer clothes or more power etc. Unfortunately narcissistic people are very much like this.

I don't think anyone has changed him. He was always an extremely nasty piece of work, it's just that we didn't know it.

You would think that a prince would have some degree of knowledge and respect for the family, institution and legacy in which he belongs but he seems not to have a clue...this becomes so obvious when it comes to titles of the family. That’s a very interesting take on Harry poisoning Meghan regarding his family.. I always though it was weird , that Harry never told her the Queen would have to die before the kids would be titled. He seems dim, but you might think he would have known that . And he wasn’t in that part of the Oprah interview, and didn’t correct it on camera. Frankly, I think her intention, was to always go back to Ca, as royalty, so that she would finally be accepted by the entertainment elite . WHy else would Oprah , Tyler Perry , Beyoncé and Jay Z be falling all over her .. And Harry is somewhat star struck , by meeting all these people too He finally feels as important as his brother

Harry clearly isn’t super well balanced and is a little damaged from his early childhood trauma but I really do think Meghan brings out the worst in him. Her previous blog the Tig proves she did know about the RF and her comments on that site indicated she would be a “royal rebel” if given the chance. She’s alienated most of her family and now Harry has alienated himself from his family as well and to me that’s what’s the saddest about this situation. You’re right about them as a pair.
