I like the “had nothing” segment being thrown in! Shows how hard you have to hustle. People think I’m just lucky at garage sales too, when in truth, the only way to be successful is to go to dozens per weekend.

I watched a reseller being a bully at a sale today. The frustrated woman was trying to get ahold of her daughter to ask her the price and the guy just wouldnt stop asking for a "deal" He wanted 3 ps2 dual shocks for $2. She finally agreed to $3 and just after he left her daughter texted back that she wanted $5 each. I was mad at myself for not outbidding him for being a jerk.

I sold my MP6 Big Box a couple months ago on eBay for 175 I believe. Outer box was a little rough but the mic was sealed and the game and case and manual looked new. Such a hard item to find. Now I'm just looking for a complete copy to replace it as it was the first game I got when my wife and I started dating and I introduced her to the GameCube and it's her favorite.

One often hears reseller youtubers complain about too much competition in their area. But if you pay attention to the competition’s videos it is possible to determine a niche to still be profitable. For example, if I lived in the same area as Chase, I would target cameras and other old tech. I see a lot of valuable old-tech being picked up and put down in his videos. For example, at 10:05 a box marked “1946 Argus” and “$1.56” with a camera gets cursorily looked over and passed on. An Argus C3 comps for $35-$75, so at $1.56 there is plenty of meat left on that bone! One just has to learn their competition and find compatible niches.

Those pre-2000 lego can be very valuable to pick through. Not just the baseplates, most pirate figures can get you $5+ each even in a lot. In March I sold 6 lots of 10 pirates with weapons for $50 each. The old Crusader Knights are even more sometimes. Also look for Burps and Lurps. Especially the old gray that were in the 90s. Palm trees are premiums as are canon. I would look for forestmen that might have come with that raised plate or even their shields. Look up lego 6079 and you may find other pieces from that set that sell high. There are 2 valuable figures, cas004 ,cas006 ($50) from that set. I look at lego the same as video game lots. OLD Lego tubs can be full of Wii Sports. Tubs of newer lego Id sell just like you want to do.

I can tell you from experience that asking is putting yourself out there…that’s why he doesn’t. I’ll do it once in awhile but for people that are not having garage sales consistently cause that’s how they profit. The majority of people are greedy and will know you for profiting on the items they are selling. It’s better to be forgotten so you can profit more. I have a huge bundle of games for you if interested, but I’m in California… Food and shelter available upon arrival. If you want to make a big trip like that. It would be fun to see how you would work in California. But if sales fail, you have all my stuff I’ll trade, do cash…etc.
