I hate it when people say MSM has fallen off. Yeah, it's less popular, but MSM has still greatly benefitted from its spike in popularity that continues to be felt today.

I don't think that it fell off. It might seem that way because it's popularity is a lot less than what it was when it became popular on tiktok. But the truth is that before that, it was pretty much the same as it is now. It's still a great game and hopefully will be for a long time. We're just getting out of the explosion in popularity, so it feels like the game is dying when in reality it's just slowly going back to normal. Minecraft has a similar situation, where it feels like the game is dying because we just got out of a huge spike in popularity.

Honestly, no, msm has been getting updates religiously since 2012, sure it may not be as popular as it was back in 2022-2023, but content creators like evolayerson, ghostympa and mpg are still racking up views and have been content creating for many years. sure it might be a waiting game but there’s a whole other aspect to it, you get to decorate your island however you want, react to a new monster/island that came out and edit the island but removing or adjusting the sounds of monsters or speeding it up/slowing it down to make the island suit your own preferences and make it unique (i mean this in no harmful way, some ppl just like things more than others and that’s ok, and vice versa. im honestly just trying to point out the positive side of things)

Videos like this just spread negativity. MSM has greatly benefitted from its TikTok blowup and to this day it is much more popular than before 2023. You "critized" the waiting mechanic, but a) 90% of mobile games such as Clash of Clans could also be considered a "waiting similator." And b) waiting is a core mechanic in MSM because it is a slow-paced game that is meant to be enjoyed casually and at a gradual pace. You are just nitpicking aspects of the game that have existed for 11 years. Also, MSM is one of the few mobile games that still gets updates on a consistent basis at a high quality. The updates DO NOT come out slowly compared to other games- especially mobile ones. Not to mention how high-quality the near-monthly updates are, even after 11 years of the game mostly falling into obscurity? Its baffling that you're criticizing that, of all things. We should be grateful MSM even gets updates at all, especially since they come out much more often and of much higher quality than you give them credit for. You are just shitting on MSM.

It's not as popular as it was on 2023, but it's definitely not dead. Since it popped off there's a lot more of players and fans. Steam charts are dying because people play the mobile version, not steam.

I started playing since february 2023, and i have breaks from time to time, but i havent really gotten bored yet, personally, but i agree with the community point. There has been lots of drama, and i bet i dont even know about some of it, i want this community to get better, to get more positive. A REALLY bad problem is also the leaks. Like, after Gnarls got revealed, i was excited to see him in dof, and now his design in dof got leaked, and so did Hoola. There wasnt even a warning, and i think prismatic tuskski was there too. I hate leaks honestly, especially when you have been hyped for something, just for it to get leaked...but the leaks are NOTHING compared to what other people in the community have done. I will not say the name of who leaked them tho. That is all i have to say, i just want this community to get better, like i said before.

Here's a tip for you Make the content you want to make if you think MSM is boring then do something like Minecraft or other things you may love

I still play it, but I think it’s still fun, and the colosseum Is so fun, it might be cause I play Pokémon, but that’s fun for me, and here’s a tip, play the game every day, for like a minute, then it won’t be boring, just trust me bro.

i got tired of feeling forced to log on to collect my gem mines and gold

i dont really play msm that much anymore, I just log on once a day and get my daily reward. I have most of the (common) monsters on all my islands, I dont have the motivation to get the rare and epic wubboxes, wublins, or celestials and Im not paying 300 gems just to have enough beds to get all amber island monsters so I usually wait for updates just for them to either be a rare monster (i dont really care about rares) or a new monster that I end up gemming and then I wait for months saying "wave 6 when" or some shi- like that. I used to decorate my islands but I just dont like waiting to breed monsters and for some monsters to be on sale. I do still make content on the game and I still like using msm composer but thats really it. Once I get bored from making content and msmc songs, I'll probably forget about msm and move on to other games.

Honestly, it seems like it's at the peak of popularity right now. But then again, I'm still fairly new and the is still pretty active. It might be even more popular now due to certain Islands such as ethereal Workshop

IMO , these are horrible takes. The waiting mechanic has been here forever and you’re only saying that it isn’t good because you can’t push out content in time to make any money. Also you said that getting new monsters is hard. The thing is that new monsters are mostly for the players who are later in the game. For example amber island is for players who have mostly every island in order to get the eggs. You also said they update too slowly. You compared them to Fortnite as they update more frequently. If they were to update faster that would only result in lazy and low quality content. I feel like too many people expect so much from MSM when it’s literally just a mobile game and you’re comparing it to a game that’s available on all platforms and has multiple overworked devs that push out lazy reskins and keeps updating things that don’t need to be updated. IMO I think you are just complaining because you have nothing to make money off of.

I still go on tiktok ocasionally you'll come across a dabloons video saying like "Bring dabloons back" and stuff. people use bluestacks to play the game, so maybe the game hasn't really fallen off on PC, most creators play on Bluestacks for better performance

Sure, the game is a bit less popular, but that’s just because the cold island werdo trend stopped. If TWO channels still only cover the game (MPG and the msm channel and so many more) and the game fell off then they wouldn’t have as many subscribers as they do.
