great dudes... used to run into them as they were at shows watching their favorite bands ... got to love bands supporting other bands even when they are not even playing that show
AJ is such a cool dude. They were opening for OM&M a couple years ago and it was right after a mass shooting happened, and he gave such a nice heartfelt speech about loving each other and to stop gun violence, and it was very moving. Plus I got to shake his hand after the concert which was awesome. Not to mention they are incredible live.
@@AW-qz4kk I'm always baffled that people actually believe that when it is so easy to correlate mass shootings and no gun control... Literally everywhere besides the US, shootings aren't even a consideration exactly because people don't have guns.
@@METALBIRB have you heard UABB already? i don't see you react any song from them on your channel. i highly recommended this band if you haven't heard yet
@@METALBIRB yo man, beed fallowing your chanel for about a year now, really want you to try Fire From The Gods - In To The Blue, this one really impresive
Totally agree on your comment about bringing in different genres and sounds of various countries and cultures. Metal needs more diversity and it’s awesome how much it’s expanded in the last ten years.
You should check out the band called Backwordz. The lead vocalist Eric July was the former vocalist for Fire from the Gods. He is a youtuber too with like 350k+ subs!
Yeah the funny thing is the Vocalist of Backwordz is the original vocalist of Fire from the godz and he wrote this song and fire from the gods found this guy because he matched Backwordz Vocalist Mannerisms
@@Wessohot Eric is irreplaceable 👊. It's funny because, at least to my knowledge, Fire From the Gods doesn't touch on this sound as much beyond this song. Most of their tracks are more-or-less cut and dry alt-metalcore tracks.
@@ScreenSpidah true Eric is irreplaceable and thats why I don’t like fire from the gods much because they tried to replace eric with a guy that favors him and everything
@@Wessohot I like some of their songs, objectively speaking. Subjectively speaking, it's totally disrespectful what they did to Eric, from replacing him with a copy on purpose, and releasing his song as their own.
@@ScreenSpidah i mean eric even called them out on the song Be Great and he doesn’t hate them for it anymore doing because he trying to be great and not petty
The only thing I don't like about FFTG is they seem to have a lot of similarities in their sound, song structure, and vocal delivery across their discography. I do like their sound and I can jam a couple tracks pretty hard, especially in a playlist where you get a sweet change from whatever the previous song was, but for me, when I dove into their discography, it was a little flat from cover to cover. I know this might not be a popular opinion, but hey, its' mine. Great reaction Birb!!!
I got to see them when they toured with Five Finger Death Punch/Three Days Grace/Bad Wolves and they are SO GOOD live. AJ absolutely kills the vocals live and he's such an amazing frontman
I'm fairly certain Eric July wrote this song yea. Eric was really really cringe about it tho. He liked to pretend that he was a better frontman/vocalist than AJ is and would shit talk the band for replacing him with someone similar to him in style (even though Eric is the one that chose to leave the band because the band wanted to focus on going on tour and stuff) I wanted to like Backwordz but even as someone with a degree in political science and loves political stuff, Backwordz was way too edgy with their lyrics/songs. It just felt like the highschooler who just learned what libertarianism is and decided to form a generic metalcore band but also wanted to include his friend who was super into rap to be in the band. Eric's super talanted but i just couldn't get into their stuff sadly.
@@MaPleWoRlDOrder That actually not what he did. He never said he was a better vocalist. He ragged on the band and the new vocalist for trying to mimic him as much as possible
@@GarettChamberlin So he wanted them to switch up a style that worked enough for them to go on tour? That's hilarious. I agree with Stock Master, Backwordz lyrics are incredibly cringe it's like they were written by a 15 year old lol. Both bands are pretty generic metalcore though.
@@WindyCityNick Yeah that's funny since touring is basically the only way to bands to make money and continue as a band for years to come apart from merch sales
I think I requested this song last year lol better late than never lol this band goes hard let's see some more of these guys check out the song (right now )
Another one of their songs to check out is Truth to the weak (Not Built To Collapse) its off their newest album. Saw these guys open up at warped tour and they put on such a great performance.
Bid of a throwback , but this song is sooo good. Never liked much of their other work, aside from their early early stuff with Eric as the vocalist. BUT their song End Transmission is sooooo good too
FFTG are pretty amazing, their new albums are real sick tbh. However, I think is kinda sad that this song in particular wasn't written by the band. It was written by Eric July, former FFTG vocalist, and it seems this is not acknowledged anywhere. Before someone jumps on me, FFTG had songs with him and the difference on lyrics structure when Eric July was in the band and now is just enourmous. That being said, I saw them live yesterday in The Forge, IL and they were killing it. Amazing band, AJ is such an amazing vocalist and is pretty vocal about social/political problems. He stays true to the message being delivered through their songs. I hope to see them again live sometime.
These folks are breath of fresh air, they blend rap, metalcore, alt.metal and prog rock vibes into something really creative. I wish you have started with Narrative album review, because songs like In Spite Of Doubt and Into The Blue are so powerful in terms of emotions. But if you gon't go that far at least react to The Voiceless and End Transmission. Their early stuff is fun to listen to, but it has more from rnb and post-hardcore because of the previous vocalist. Btw, you definitely need to listen Oceans of Slumber, very proggy and atmospheric type of music despite having death/doom influence as well (jazzy too!) it is so cool to have black musicians on the metal since they have unique vocal range that is so well adapted to any type of music.
I think it’s time to hit up some Dirty Loops again. ‘Rock You’ is the catchiest song around. You’ll love it. And yes I’m first and foremost a metal head! Awesome reaction ❤️🔥💪🏼😊
I cannot believe you've never listened to these guys lol they are fucking incredible, the lead singer has some of the best range of vocals out there, their best song is End Transmission, that song is just incredible across the board, so glad you enjoyed these guys Birb
BTW I would check out The Fever 333 next for this nu-metal revival worship. They're a lot like Rage Against The Machine without the flashy guitar work.
If you want a few examples of the vocalists range (fairly sure his name is AJ Channer?) check out End Transmission, All My Heroes Are Dead and Right Now, those tracks are just bangers
Not huge on these guys, but I like some of their songs like this one. They're basically Sevendust (clean vocals) meets Skindred (rapping + instrumentals).
You should react to a Backwordz song. The front man, Eric July, used to be the vocalist for Fire From the Gods. Pretty sure this was the song that Eric wrote before he left the band.
"Yeah I'm drinking wine, im fancy af. I got caviar in my pocket it too. That'd be awesome actually... Pretty gross too 🥴" that shit had me laughing for some reason 😂
Gotta check out End Transmission by them. Easily their best song. It’s definitely more melodic and focuses more on the metal side of things rather than rap
These guys are so good.!♡\m/\m/🖤🖤 you have to do more.!♡ yes his vocals are just incredible.!♡ it gives me goosebumps and chills everytime.!♡ the whole band is great.!♡ Definitely check out more forsure.!♡\m/\m/🖤🖤
Do end transmission next.!♡ or right now.!♡ the voiceless is great too. But right now that one deals with worldly issues like what's going on right now.!♡\m/\m/
Ah shit man your just finding this Fire 🔥ehh? Extremely underrated band and Frontman. FFTG original frontman is nothing to scuff at neither check out Be Great by Backwordz!!!
