One thing Climb totally missed was when he entered the palace one of the snow spirit ladies welcomed him as the last human in the palace, showing that by then Renner was already long gone as one. Enjoy those couple thousand years, dude.

Renner got what she longed for 1. She got her happy ending 2. She is a royal princess 3. She dances and sings in a beautiful setting 4. She got her "prince" 5. She is so happy, she laughs

"Seed of the fallen", consumable item. If the player character has a karma value of negative 400 or less, change race to heteromorphic and consume experience to gain one "Imp" race level. Although Renner's karma was in the negative, it wasn't that negative. For refference, Demiurge, who has a farm in the abellion hills in which he skins people alive in the daily, chops their limbs and distributes those severed limbs as food for the rest of the "stock" (among other much more horrible things), has a karma value of negative 500. Whatever Renner did up to that point wasn't even near that, so Renner had to "farm negative karma" to be able to use the seed of the fallen and experience to be able to purchase the imp race level. That's where the orphanage came handy, Renner won the trust of all the workers (who were widows from the war) and the children there (who were also orphans from the war), and then poisoned all of them; killing two birds with one stone, she got tons of negative karma value from betraying and killing children and got the xp at the same time. If Climb is to become a demon, he also needs a negative karma of 400 or less, that's what Renner meant by "The sorcerer king might have you do terrible things to test your fidelity". The writing in this series is amazing.

Having a dog was a big responsibility but she fed and played with him everyday* *The orphans were never hungry again* *All the slavery, prostitution and narcotics were eradicated* *There was no more infighting between the nobles* *The kingdom prospered under the rule of the Sorcerer king* All is well❤

As a LN reader this was the best part of the whole season right here. The singing just makes this scene so much better and really highlights how crazy Renner is. The most evil happily ever after in history!

The fact she's still nervous around Albedo after all the planning they did really shows her high intelligence.

For those who have not read the LN In vol 14, it gives Renner's characters sheet and under hobbies it literally says: having *** with climb

Renner: "Climb, your 15 minute rest is over. Let''s go for another round." Climb: "Y-yes, princess..."

This is literally the happiest we've ever seen her. It's all in the eyes.

This was honestly the most lovely surprise from someone that read the light novel, to see her singing. I got goosebumps at her laughing and singing, they did Renner justice with this single scene, I can't be more proud of the studio that animated this, thank you very much!

I really love Overlord because it’s so refreshing to see the Villain win. I don’t think I will ever get tired of this series.

Renne being animated so smoothly and breaking out into a full song really took me by surprise, but made one heck of an impact

I was not expecting her to start singing beautifully. I guess when you’ve destroyed your entire kingdom for the one you “love” brings many feelings of joy lol.

Being on cloud 9 after poisoning an orphanage, killing your own father, putting your boyfriend in limbo and sacrificing your Kingdom is an entirely different level of crazy

She is not a super villain or evil but something far darker I've only seen once before. It sent strait shivers down my spine, with that look in her eyes and the sound effect just added to it. True masterpiece

To anyone who didn’t know, this arc was called “Witch of the Falling Kingdom”. And “witch” is an understatement in my opinion.

This caught me completely off guard and absolutely blew me away. I thought this season had peaked when Ainz confessed his motives to a soon-to-be-dead Zanac, then came the PDL fight, THEN came the Brain fight. I thought there was no way the show could top the twisted delightful malevolence of this whole season. And then along comes Princess Renner with a GODDAMN DISNEY PRINCESS MUSICAL NUMBER about corpses and betrayal. Just wow.

It's interesting how the this theme uses church bells throughout because in the language of music church bells are usually used to signify one of two things: weddings or funerals. It's also interesting how if you speed up this song to 1.5 speed, it almost sounds like a standard Disney princess song. But because it's played at a slower tempo, it's instead haunting and the background instrumentals is more in keeping with a dirge or a littenany. And woven throughout in the background you can subtly hear the sound of metal sheets being hammered, which in musical language is often used to symbolize discord and the destruction of the natural world. Paired with the song's normally harmonious overtone, it gives a subtle feeling of internal discord and "wrongness." Something warped and ominous. Which is rather fitting considering the character in question is effectively celebrating finally being with her "true love" by figuratively dancing over the corpses of millions of innocent civilians as well as her entire family

Her song is so eerie, I love! Also I love the dress she wears. Was NOT expecting her to start singing. But I'm happy with it! The best part is this is truly a villain anime. None of the people in Nazarick are good lol. Ainz singlehandedly butchered over 100k people because he could. I love how twisted this show is and her singing this somewhat eerie, haunting song is the icing on the cake. The villains won this big time and I want more.

"... by merely selling out a single kingdom." That last part just shows the evil and emptiness inside of her. She aided in the destruction of a large kingom, her own homeland, and in the deaths of at least 9 million people, and she talks like she had to just give up something insignificant like a pair of shoes she didn't even like.

i love the fact that before climb entered the throne room it was already foreshadowed that reiner is a demon by the ice wraiths

For those wondering the song she sings is called Fallen and it's sung by Kiyono Yasuno (Renner's Voice actress)

Funny how she seems more human now that she is a demon. Congrats on the happiness!

I never thought Overlord would add something so beautiful and poetic singing into the show.

For someone who threw away their humanity and became a demon, she's a pretty good singer. Also, her demon form looks cool. For some reason, it makes me think she looks like a vampire, or a succubus, or *both combined together into one amazing design.*

Loved this scene so much. I kinda wish her alignment had been kept a secret and only hinted at until the most pivotal point, but her betrayal was still just so incredibly delicious.

Well, not anymore, seeing as the treasury was completely emptied to pay for the simulated 3D camera sweeps that accompanied it." Ains: "What?! WHY!!!? Who authorized that?! Everyone in Nazarick knows 3D camera sweeps are prohibitively expensive!" Demiurge: "The... New girl, my lord." Ains: "THE N-" *_Calming Lich draft_* " *SIGH* ...We didn't give her the onboarding tutorial, did we?" Demiurge: "We don't have one of those my Lord." Ains: "Right... And we can't afford to make one either. Have we looted the city for profit yet?" Demiurge: "Not yet my lor-" Ains: "GOOD, do that. Recover every last ounce of gold, then report back to me with how little that actually puts back in the treasury... I'll be in my room, pretending I can feel enough to act like a Wall Street Investor in 1929..." Demiurge: "What's a Wall Stree-" Ains: "NOW, Demiurge." Demiurge: "AT ONCE."

People are really underrating the technicality of this amazing animation here. Mouthing motions accurate to speech production 3 Axis movement with panning/moving camera Simulating hair and clothing physics Full body motion, down to stride and individual fingers following in wave All simultaneously nonetheless! Madhouse regaining some parts of their touch?

How did Overlord manage to put out a better Disney Princess than what Disney has put out in the last couple years.

Renner’s song being the end of the season is so fitting its crazy.

She is a princess who makes a wish to an overworldly power to have her prince and live happily ever after. I think that's what make this scene so haunting and the way it's shot like a number of Disney princess songs is no accident. I love it.

Renner straight up stole the anime budget.

One of the most terrifying characters that I can honestly say is quite terrifying and this song just signifies that which still gives me chills

When we were presented to her, she seemed like a Disney princess. Now she was given the song number of a Disney villain.

I don't think there is a character that is as twisted as Renner in Overlord. I believe the significance of this scene exemplifies how evil she is. Not a thing matters to her. And even the one she loves most is merely a dog to satisfy her control. I hope there's a full version to this track.

I've never watched a single second of Overlord aside from the openings prior to this. This alone makes me want to start the series just so I can understand the context of what's going on.

It's a beautiful portrayal of a sadistic and highly intelligent person. And the animation of her little dance and song was beautiful.

Renner's VA has a lovely set of pipes. Also, Overlord is now officially a musical.

Renner is a yandere, but you got to admire and respect her dedication to being with her one true love. Plus, it makes sense why she is so crazy when you learn about her backstory.

Anyone else find it strangely hypnotic? I've watched it on loop for an hour.

Man! I don't know what it is but this gives me chills that only 90s and early 2000's anime gave me when a villain is finally at a point where she/he/they are showing their true colors. It's so poetic and I do love this song.

I know it's been done before but it's so refreshing to see a villain winning for once. I'm both creeped out and enamored by this scene, this episode alone made Overlord Anime of the Season imho.

I’m absolutely loving Renner’s new look. She looks like an evil Cynthia from Pokémon.

This is probably one of the most beautifully animated scenes I’ve seen in awhile

Evil Cynthia was the first thing that came to mind.

The entire series from Climb and Renner's perspectivve from start to finish must have been amazing to watch on its own

She did all of this because she was mistreated as a child and now that her entire family is dead, all she needed was Climb to play his part and he did very well. She’s gotten everything she wanted.

I can't wait to see Climb's demon form. We may never get to see it but man, I wanna see him become stronger. He was my favorite character in the Kingdom.

Disney changes the original dark story to be a very warmhearted and sweet fantasy. Overlord did the exact opposite.

In all honesty we all got the impression on what was happening but god damn noone expected her to burst out singing like that!! Now THIS is the perfect Disney Princess!

What hit me the most was not just the beautiful song by the person responsible for the Kingdom's total slaughter, but how they showed all the little subtle hints that she was working with Nazarick from pretty much the beginning. The wait for the next season is going to be brutal. Hell, the wait for the next volume is already killing me.

As someone who's been anime only watching Overlord I never expected Renner, her musical number, or what she did to get what she wanted. All i know is that she was a tad yandere after Ainz' show of power and the loss of Gazef

You know normally I say stick to the source material and do not deviate but this is so good I'll make an exception this entire scene and song is not in the light novel but it is absolutely an amazing scene and I'm really glad they added it in this series

We only need eachother is what stands out to me the most. The bloodshed to get to that point is of no consequence it seems. Which explains the standing on corpses part.

This part was wonderfully animated. They put more effort in this part alone that all fight scenes combined this season, you can see how everything changed the moment she started walking. I loved every second of it

THE BUDGET!!!!! It's as smooth as CGI, but it has the look of animation, there's so little happening, yet despite that, this may genuinely be the most gorgeous scene in any anime I've ever watched, supplemented by the beautiful voice of Renner, and the tone of her plot coming to fruition, I couldn't have asked for a better finale.

Crunchyroll, whoever you have picking thumbnails and titles for these videos is doin such a great job. I haven’t watched this episode yet and thanks to them nothing is spoiled when this video pops in to my recommended
