I don't think it's anyone's moral or societal obligation to help the next person eg; the rich helping the homeless and starving. This is just my opinion. With that being said, I'm also a big believer of people are blessed (if you're religious) or are able to obtain wealth through hard work and luck not just to provide for themselves and their family but to also be able to extend their hands towards those not as blessed or as lucky.
