Did Schillinger Really Kill Beecher's Wife? - Oz Explained 

Oz was a lowkey comedy in the later seasons.

JK Simmons played that character so well that I still feel on edge whenever I see him in anything else. Even the Farmers Insurance commercials.

It wasn't a deleted scene, it was in the DVD box set. He admits that he was just messing with Beecher and never had his wife killed.

This show was obsessed with misery so if he really did have a part in her dying, he would be reminding Beecher every single episode. I think he just heard the news and wanted to stick it to Beecher as badly as possible (no pun intended)

By season 3 it was just mayhem. It was all about killing who and how. But the first 2 seasons were great. For the most part. J.K. Simmons is one of the best actors I've ever seen and he was brutal in this show.

The deleted scene takes part in season 5 during one of the Sister Pete sit downs between Vern, Tobias and Kareem. He basically admits he just said it to fuck with him.

Putting someone like Beecher with a hardcore criminal like Schillinger was all kinds of wrong.

This was probably the show that changed tv It came before the Sopranos But in the 90s... you could watch violent shit and talk about it but you couldn't watch REALLY violent shit that involved homosexuality then share opinions with all your work friends I say that, admitting that the later seasons were disappointing It may not have been a better show but it got there first and it was really good. It deserves a celebration similar to all that the Sopranos have received in recent years

You should make one discussing whether or not Beecher intended for Andrew Schillinger to get killed or if that wasnt part of the plan. His reaction to his death is really interesting.

I say no, I feel like he would’ve enjoyed Beecher in agony over his wife’s divorcing him and as she unalive herself, Vern saw an opportunity to mess with him more

He had motivation and it makes sense to an extent as he had previously threatened his wife and daughter. He might have thought it seemed cowardly to kill a woman which is why he say he didn’t say he killed the wife when he said he killed the father and son (though surely it’s even more cowardly to kill a child?). But I don’t think he did kill her because he would have made sure everyone knew as he had recently been humiliated by Beecher and would have wanted everyone to know that he got revenge.

Next video: did Said really kill Adebisi? I think he killed himself, and Said was actually trying to stop him. He had the knife turned on himself when he said "this is how a man dies", he realized he already had everything but would always be stuck in prison. The last thing he did was cutting Said's face as punishment for handing the tapes to the warden, if he wanted he could've killed Said right there. We don't exactly see what happened behind the curtain, but Adebisi had the knife, pushed Said away, right then the camera cuts to outside and we see a blood stain 1 second later. No way Said could or would want to grab the knife and kill him that quickly. Said of course covered for him in season 5 so the other inmates wouldn't think he was a bitch. He still believed he killed Adebisi but that was just guilt from not being able to save him.

nah. Beechers whole family basically got wiped out by Vern. tacking on one more at the hands of him vs. one death actually being (arguably) Beecher's fault. goes a lot further. I'm chalking it up to bad writing.
