Mirio was one of the only cool and fun characters left to play in ultra rumble in my opinion as his combos were extremely fun….nerf his damage and his health ig sure but completely removing his combos from the game was such a bad move. Making mirio utterly useless but allowing hawks to be in the game is insane…. Sorry devs im not on board with this one 😬
@@StrayStream I’m the same way and I’m a red todoroki main and my brother is a mirio main (he’s ranked 149) and now I feel like there’s nothing we can even do to hawks like he just never touches the ground and has auto aim it’s insane and 1 beta by hawks and mirio is done for due to his health nerf now it’s so crazy…I hated the overhaul bug too man I’m right there with you I’m ranked (201) rn on console and it’s so hard to keep a solid rank when final circle is me as todoroki vs 7 of hawks 😂

Personally, Mirio isn't difficult to dodge but just hard to hit (his moves make him invincible) but I know damn well he didn't deserve this His damage I can understand but his health and combo potential? That was just unnecessary (I'm console but I didn't complain about him)
Him being invincible is his whole thing. What’s the point in the anime game not being at least kinda accurate? A db fan wouldn’t want a weak goku in a dragon ball game
I don’t understand why so many console players were complaining. I play console without headphones, and I still never had problems with Mirio. Now that I have headphones and he got nerfed, I think it’s honestly just people weren’t good. I think it isn’t just console players faults tho, the devs took it way too far, they could’ve done one or two of the five changes they made and he would’ve still been significantly nerfed. Same as a mirio main I'm still gonna use him because he's fun to use and certainly a character you will feel like you mastered depending on the predictions the opponents make.
7:15 Brother, that was always the case lol. He could never use his special til 100% So was pre-buff Kiri. They nerfed his special action by making it where if he got grab or knocked down, he would deharden
The honest to god only thing I think was needed for Mirio was definitely the Hp nerf. For a character that make himself invincible (when it’s not bugged) for several of his moves I think the Hp nerf to 225. Everything else was not needed for this guy but at least the Lemillion players have to actually be a bit more careful now instead.
I'll be fine with the hp nerf eventually just gotta remember to stay away from Ibara's! lol. but I think the damage one was okay as well ig. Even though other rapids to way more for way less
Not even trying to be rude but it’s because a lot of players just aren’t that good. So much shit they complain about or big up can be dodged or dealt with easily unless your already distracted. I play on PS5 and your 100% right. All they do is complain when I’m reality they just suck. Not everyone is like that but more players are like that than players that aren’t.
I mean you can blame youtubers for honestly gas lighting the fact that units are busted when they aren't. People watching go off their clips and decide off that. He just released a hawks video saying how op he is when in console its not the same. RU-vidrs keeps saying oh this character needs nerfed and everyone is just going to piggyback that's subscribed to them.
I’m not even gonna lie it wasn’t the fact that he was hard to dodge it was the fact that he hits me with two kicks does all my health in damage and if I outplay him he get out for free without being punished and when he whiffed all his abilities he can just click his passive and then his abilities are back up how is that fair
tbf most rapids can do this. But once you get hit by that one full charge alpha you should be somewhat aware to dodge the second one. Of course dealing with 2 other people or random teams coming at you is also a factor in which I don't blame people for not being able to dodge when there is a bunch of stuff happening
If we’re talking abt console then it’s probably the casual players complaining abt him because I play on console and he’s easy to dodge. It’s usually the casual players that complain a lot and the devs probably listen to them the most. But idk it’s just a thought🤷♂️

if you get hit by EVERYTHING he does thats a skill diff, you getting hit by an alpha coming from nowhere is fine. But once you get hit by that you should be fully aware of where he is
I'm a lemillion main I don't care if I sound biased his whole kit just gets countered by rolling well I've been trying to learn beta into alpha but there is no point
The only difficulty is that if Mirio wants to escape, he will escape. In combat, most of his attacks remain immobile before acting, which makes it very easy to land shots, especially with Deku. And dodging Mirio's attacks is relatively easy (especially Beta, alpha as he only has 3 if you dodge 1 or 2 he is forced to avoid confrontation or risk a beta to attack or escape until the alphas return). And there are several meta characters that take him down. red deku, red dabi, hawks, overhaul if land gamma, and many others (the others are more situational)
Some may say it is difficult to hit shots. Focus on dodging the beta and punish him a lot when he fails, especially if you can't hit him at the beginning of the alpha. Easy 2 shots for every failed beta. And if you're playing Red Deku, literally 2 shots will give him guardbreak
It’s so cope to say that an ibara can catch a lemillion lmao “it’s not that hard” It is absolutely hard to do, you will rarely if ever grab a lemillion as Ibara, saying “I’ve done it before” when you’re one of the best players in the game is not gonna translate to 99% of playerbase doing it lol People say “it’s easy to dodge lemillion” and 90% of that they’re just talking about his beta, it’s so easy to fake someone out with a half charged alpha, predict where they are behind a wall and just be overall annoying and effective at chipping many enemies health at once AND having the best survivability in the game. If your goal while playing lemillion is to focus down 1 guy and annihilate him then I get why you’d be upset at the nerfs but that, to me, isn’t even where his strength really lies. Lemillions weren’t winning 1v3 circles because he hAs ComBoS, he was winning because he can chip people down and had really chances of taking minimal damage while doing it. Try combining someone in a 1v3, see how quick you get blown up lol. Saying he has “good survivability” is downplaying what everyone knows to be true. In terms of ability to get away and survive, lemillion and Hawks are top of the bunch. Lemillion didn’t deserve this much of a nerf but people acting like he didn’t need any nerf are just straight up bullshiting. Bring beta combo back and leave every other change as is.
Mirio needed a DMG nerf, HP nerf was tooooooo much, now combos for me is something I don't have my mind on but idk, I wanted a nerf not a murder, now also I don't just want mirio nerfed rather all rapids nerfed, they can't hit as hard as they do, that's it for me Edit: unless you want to buy me headphones, don't ask me to get some
I'm on console and never had a problem with lemillion he never hits anything he the people who play lemillion are just that good if anything he needed some kind of buff or to stay the same

Its been awhile since I've played her. I still fear the good mt lady players because she can still be a crazy threat. but that Hp nerf to her was something
U were saying if u have headphones, it would be easier, agreed, but I dont use headphones or earphones. All u needed to do is just roll when u see red on your screen. Literally one of the most free and most easiest move to punish. As someone who mained Mirio since his release, in expert and ace lobbies, it was difficult to even catch people with his beta. Why? Cus, if u see Mirio go down below u can just wait there for the red circle. And dodge. Not to mention anyone (Red Deku) just melts him, even without the nerfs and it still melted. But you know who needs to be nerfed hard? Red Deku, the game will be in a way better spot (and more skill full) with him nerfed. Would i be cracked out of my mind if i used headphones?
Yeah the nerf was kinda stupid, even i that consider myselft a pretty bad player could Dodge him most of the time, what i will give to them is that the hp nefr was okay, or at least i think that rapid characters should have that insane mobility and damage but have the hp of a flower lol
As someone who predominantly plays as Froppy I couldn't help but chuckle while listening. The big one was regarding using up movement options to attack. I think the real issue here is that the dev team no longer know what a Rapid is. The Frog can be annoying sure, but no ones really complaining about her. Her burst damage comes at the cost of being able to be a Rapid anymore. She uses a single Alpha and she goes to having worse mobility than half of the cast. Not just the other Rapids. What I'm trying to say is, if they want to make Rapids back into Rapids I think this is how they intend to do it. Hit and run and you need to risk yourself to do it. Before Mirio didn't have any risks. Every move deals damages and has some sort of damage mitigation. And he is like Iida. His Alpha can be easy to dodge roll... if you know it's coming. And hearing his telltale sound is rarely enough to judge exactly how you need to dodge. Just to finish up my thoughts, let's look at the current Rapids other than Mirio: Hawks: High Damage and High Mobility Ochako: Zero to Death and High Mobility Bakugo: Reasonably High Damage, Splash Damage, and High Mobility Twice: Huge Combos, High Damage with Clones, and Good Mobility IIda: Easy Shield Breaker Combo, Speed, and HIgh Mobility Apart from Tsuyu and now Mirio? Rapids aren't Rapids. They're Strikes with Rapid mobility and it's what makes them feel unbalanced. You're not going to hear people whine about Tsu unless they're getting seriously outplayed by one. She's balanced as a Rapid... which means her (and now Mirio) are not balanced well at all amongst the rest of the roster.
Honestly even in ranked hitting his beta was never really hard (I mainly play in expert ranked soloq) I honestly have a harder time with the alpha but hitting his alpha now just feels like giving them love tap with that decent 200 damage
this is how i felt about all for one changes, I'm fine with the damage nerfs (not completely 60 damage on alpha is weak asf) but they made the character UNFUN this looks like a trend , lemillion gettinged , before red dabi's no brain auto tracking beta is insane, I didn't care for it before but I'm looking forward to sparking zero if this is how they "balance characters"

@@StrayStream yeah at this point if you don't main a skillkit you just have to expect your character to get nerfed, watching your lemillion was so fun, but it seems like they're nerfing all the high performing characters, removing skill expression sucks so much though... all he needed was a damage nerf, now there's 2 characters I'll probably play less, dredding the patchnotes in like 2 weeks
I just got this character and I’m playing on console. I’m aware of the nerfs and I have been in the struggle trying to learn and main this character. I feel like I either work so hard to land hits and tickle my opponent to death or I use them all up missing (skill issue) or my opponent dodges them all and I’m eating purple cards and hoping I make it lol. I’m committed to playing this character and I do enjoy learning and playing him but man I wish the reward was there without me being absolutely cracked! Any tips you guys have would be greatly appreciated.
Yall hear me out I think they nerf characters when it’s time for a new one to come out and the old character can now be gotten with character tickets. Think about it if you make an old character unplayable then you would be forced to spend money to get tickets to get the new character or skill set. That would explain why no skill set gets nerfed despite everyone saying it needs one. Afo got nerfed to hell to when overhaul came out and now hawks is out it’s mirios turn.
The console players complaining abt him being hard to dodge simply just have a skill issue. He’s easy to dodge, but could be difficult to hit on console. He was never S tier. IMO he was low A tier bc of his elite survivability along with his top tier annoyance of being a rapid(like most rapids), and had ok dmg. Console players destroyed this character
The only nerf Mirio should've gotten was the HP one. The combo removal was completely unnecessary, and it's sad since he's a super fun character to play. If anything, his beta should've been buffed to either come out faster or have less endlag.

As a hawls main i admit his beta is a problem, and teh dude was complaining in his special action, and when i revealed taht i was a hawks main the dude just said that all my arguments were invalid, called me kid and said taht is shoud ay a character that requires actual skill lmao. As a console player I was less annoyed by his kill potential but more because a good placement in solo queues was just so much more difficult because all the mirios would just survive with their whole team dead and just have the zone fully closing in with 4-6 teams remaining. And this aspect didn’t get nerfed at all he can still not be killed because every skill and his special action make him invincible for a crucial amount of time endgame and yes I know u can hit him after he comes up after the beta but that’s basically the only opportunity u get
This nerf destroyed my play style as a FORMER limillion main pre nerf I could fight with my team even after I lost my shields I felt like I could stay in the fight just long enough to finish people off now I feel like soon as my shields crack I have to run away like a coward 😂 he could be beamed down before hand if you knew his opening frames this is blasphemy 🤦🏾♂️

Fun fact, Overhaul glitch was fixed because if Hawks used his beta on him, overhaul would just one shot him. Plus console players can't roll, they have 0 game sense
I have the most fun when I play characters with combos, thats why I love characters like kendo or aizawa... They should have just nerfed the overall damage of the moves and kept the combo, same result but you keep the fun part in, I like the nerf to the special action because its an op survivability option to just stall for team heals or dodges attacks that take skill to dodge consistently and while its fine to do the obito uchiha special and let them pass trought you just to hit them from the back I think its more fair this way. The health nerf is just weird, why 225? It feels so odd lol.
As a former Mirio Main on console, I had so much fun playing with him, but the nerfs hit him too hard and it was already hard enough in higher ranked games. I know that the Devs are gonna revert his nerfs like they did with Ochaco and Kiri, when they do, I’ll pick him up again.
Me in 4-2 months ago was complain about mirio(only in chat with my friends), but was because in this time idk how to dodge him(I not use headphone), but after a time, i discovered that is not really hard to dodge him(beta is the only thing "hard" to dodge). Basically skill issue
Bro I’m seeing you a gamma during the uncharged alpha chain but they made it a lot easier to do the entire chain and it does way more damage than doing 2 then Gamma cuz game does 80 at lvl 3 which is what you were doing and plus the two 44 from the alpha but doing the whole chain does 44, 44, 44, 65 which obviously is way more but I mained him and I’m on console and this felt a bit unnecessary ngl😅
I was a Mirio main and now I don't think he's horrible but it's not as fun without the combos. And his damage never felt crazy unlike Deku who shoots you twice and deletes your shields and half your health if your Rapid.
I think he would have been the best character in the game if they fixed his bugs so it makes sense he also got nerfs. He's still totally viable but they probably didn't need to go this far. I'd say bring back his charged alpha damage and make it so he can use his special no matter what his meter is at and then he's good. One thing I notice in your gameplay though is you're very obvious about when you're going to pop your alpha as lemillion. Just save it for a split second and punish their dodge. So many of these people are dodging preemptively against you and getting away with it when they would be a free hit.

I think the devs just do whatever they want tbh I don't really believe that whole "character data" thing they said with Endeavor. My headcannon everytime a character is gutted like this is that the devs finally decided to play the game (which they clearly don't do often) and got completely destroyed by a Mirio, so they angrily nerfed him. They also let the Overhaul thing last an entire season which is ridiculous.

They should buff his gamma to be like Hawks, where you spend 30% of the charge on activation, and when you let go, dont waste the whole ability, so you could use it offensively.

Tbh, Mirio never was a problem for me. Playing on switch and like he was still pretty predictable. I say the only nerf that was fine was the damage one.
The hate on hawks is unbelievable man as mirio you can just press the magic button dodge and never get hit by him I think he just is very good but not broken cause still everybody can win with even red shigi aganist him
