Crow looks likes he’s doing great! Dang coyotes! Do you all have the wolf problems other ranchers are experiencing? Poor momma cow 🙁. I guess that’s just all a part of cattle ranching. But still sad. Loved seeing your wife with the herd of chickens 😂. You guys find the coolest things and places when your out working! Thank you so much for sharing all of this! Love your videos and look forward to them every week!
Thank you, we are super excited about Crow, he just keeps getting better every week. We do not have wolves here yet, and pray we don't in the future. We have only lost one other calf to coyotes and that was 2 years ago in the exact same place!
So sorry about the calf! That Momma has got to be miserable with all that milk! Looks like Crow is fitting in just fine! I love your videos! Thank you for sharing ❣️
This reminds me of when I was a little kid...your video has replaced the Bonanza Show ....with Ben Cartwright and his boys.... My Dad, my brothers & I.... used to watch it on Sunday Nights on the TV.....My wife & I look forward to your video every Sunday night... This may be the only way for us to see your country....
I bet they they did kill that calf. The neighbor has had Coyotes kill a few new ones too. It hurts to lose those calves. Hopefully they don't kill anymore on you. Best wishes to you folks.
Always wonder if calf died and coyotes got it or if they killed it, l assume you found no sign. I trapped for a living many years, usually coyotes do not kill healthy calf with protective mother, always exception to the rule. What did you do for cow?
Hi, thanks for watching. We lost a calf 2 years ago to coyotes in the exact same spot. So it definitely does not happen very often I think new born calves, if caught with out their mother are an easy target. We did not find any sign of the calf. The one that they killed 2 years ago, we actually saw it happen and by the time we could get there the calf was dead. Mother still had after birth hanging out of her!!!
Might be worth a try calling in that area, sounds like some really aggressive coyotes in that area. Would be good to get them out of the gene pool. Traps are an option but require considerable experience.
❤🎉😮 Well add me to the list wondering about the momma 🐄 who lost her calf. 😢 Is it possible to take the cow to the house and milk her?? Or... ?? 😐 Anyhoo... I enjoyed the video, we really get an up close experience of life out there.. thank you and be safe!! ❤️😊🇺🇸🙏🐎🐄🥰
Thanks for watching, we wanted to take her home and see if she would accept a doggie calf that we have, but by the time we made the final decision that her calf was dead and not coming back, she was starting to dry up.
There are lots of varmint hunters who could give you a hand with your coyote issues. I bet if you put the word out in your local communities you’d get plenty of free help to put a dent in the coyote population. Best wishes!!!
Will the coyotes make that whole carcass disappear, bones, and all kind of curious cause I’ve got five animals that disappeared and never found a trace not sure what happened?
They usually leave the hide and skull, but we have had them drag them off or carry them back to their den. So it is hard to say sometimes what happened.
