Playing could probably go either way depending on how much your lifestyle changes from out of bubble to in bubble but the hard part was winning. I think Adams would agree given how early his team left and how well some of the younger players played as time progressed. Thing is even that wouldn’t have helped the Lakers last year bc they one of the older teams in the league
Lab Files they had other things to do besides basketball. Trust me, if living in a resort for two months, over half of which they were allowed to have their families in the bubble with them is tough, that’s soft.
@@qwertyutopia4667 they are professionals, they don't think like you and I the fans think. The moment they step on the court, it's all about business. It's like when you're at your workplace. What you do professionally is already a part of you, it doesn't matter where you go to, as long as you have fulfilled all the requirements necessary to become a pro at such an endeavour. Except of course you're sick or something. Bubble or not, Lakers would still have won, they only fell short this season as a result of AD's injury.
No it's not they gave an aging superstar like lebron 4 months to rest in between season and playoffs that's unheard of who's to say if they had played a normal season they wouldn't have gone out like they did this year......in the 1st round u let the oldest superstar and his injury prone superstar teammate to get a 4 month break before playing what 20 games???? This thing was handed to lebron
Well yes but no, you see each team had a different route of teams they had to play against and that is what makes the championship hard or easy. Go watch jxmyhighroller's video on hardest championships which put into perspective how difficult and easy some championships are compared to each other
@@tanevzzo404 this comment was more talking about the bubble experience, and how the “Mickey mouse” ring idea is stupid. He isn’t saying the competition the lakers faced an extremely hard ride
False when the so called aging goat gets 4 months to get ready for a playoff run well that's not neccesarily the same circumstances now is it imagine giving Kobe and Jordan 4 months in their twighlight years to get ready for a playoff run they woulda got 7 to 8 rings wasnt the same at all

us fans really didn’t take advantage of it, i think about it everyday and actually miss it because it seemed like a cool environment and there was also something going on outside of the games, it was just kind of a cool fan experience to see how it all played out
Well think about it. They're used to having big ass houses and being with their family so this is cramped to them. I just want my own room so for me this is magic

Only reason people are saying the Bucks ring doesn’t count due to injuries is because the Lakers didn’t win it. If the Lakers had won it, it would be “legitimate”
@@imagine5366 why is the golden state fan talking 😂😂. Y’all literally got bailed out by Kawhi’s injury, golden state was down 20 points before Zaza’s dirty bitch ass injured Kawhi.
The Lakers dominated the Bubble playoffs with physical play and mental toughness. It was a dominating run by the Lakers, every player did their job and that's why they won the 2020 Championship.
@@vulcronic9818 1. They didn't sweep the bucks and 2. It wasn't in the script for the bucks to win that year. If you haven't been keeping up to date the NBA Is scripted. Do you really think it's a coincidence the suns were somehow involved in the bucks winning the 1st championship 50 years ago with a loss coin flip with the bucks that lead to them drafting Lew alcindor? Do you think its a coincidence 50 years later the suns were again responsible for the bucks 2nd championship in allowing themselves to get beat in 6 games which was foreshadowed in the chris paul "he doesnt play for the bucks" commercial which had to 2 CP3 jerseys on the wall to symbolize bucks in 6? really irks me that these players had the audacity to say shit like this. Meanwhile, my mom, friends, and family were risking their lives as nurses and health care professionals during the pandemic. I would play ball for millions for months rather than be exposed to the Rona and possibly die
I’ve always felt like there have been a ton of people in the league with lebron, KD type skills, it’s just the pressure that is put on them, only a few in the world can over come that.
@@_TYE_ but it's a win-win for everyone because they all got the same treatment and LA was guaranteed to win because Lebron rested well. It just shows how he is when he's healthy af and it ain't no mickey mouse ring just because they won it easily, he and the lakers just doninated the bubble lol
It’s funny how fans come to the conclusion that the bubble was easy and it doesn’t count. Yet the players themselves have stated so many times how mentally difficult it was to be there, I guess we know more than them….
I'm a Bron fan but I'm not a fan that when lebron loses I say he didn't have help or his team was injured I'm not like that if lebron loses he loses if kd loses he loses...EVERYONE TAKES LOSES AND WINS Idk why people don't understand that🤦
@@only1karo_ the fact that lebron's haters dosen't give a fck about his old age makes me wonder how dumb these ppl are. Man still playing at high level at 35+ age yet they still believe that he suck lol
Well think about it like this, the haters see that both of the teams who made the finals last year got first rounded this year, so it makes logical sense for them to think that the Championship wasn't legit. The Heat put up basically 0 fight this season against the Bucks, and had COVID-19 not delayed the season, the same likely would have happened last year. Although it is an immature excuse, and it might not make sense to LeBron's fans, to the haters it makes sense, and for that reason they are going to keep saying these things.
@@kirohh6448 but in the bubble they were healthy, LA this time were not and cp3 got lucky up until he fought the bucks, who were the most healthiest team in the playoffs. Comparing last year and now, the bubble was much more harder because they have no issues in travelling to other cities and no pressure from the crowd, which makes everyone to be more focused and calm while playing. Meaning all of the players in the bubble just recieved a buff, contender or not. This year, injuries caught them up, especially for LAL, amd it's possible that the lakers could've won this year's playoffs if they were just 100%.
Lebron is used to playing in front of massive crowds against him but players like Tyler herro and Jamal Murray haven’t as much. Imo the less experienced you are with large crowds, the bigger your advantage is
It's Embrassing to people saying Lakers win fake championship. They didn't realized Jimmy Butler played 45mins to survived Lakers without Goran and Bam. To people still saying that. What a fake NBA Fanboy!
Lmao Imagine being a player sweating and playing hard on the court then u see some random guy on the internet be "oh sorry bubble doesnt count so ur hardwork didnt matter"
Tbh the bubble was one of my favorite seasons… and also cause Miami (my team) was in the finals as well… but it was enjoyable to watch and it was different
Staying healthy during a full season and a playoff run is still the hardest. The Bubble was different, it came down to mentally wanting to play, but that 4 month layoff helped and hurt some players. If you were working last summer during the shutdown, you know how it felt going to work everyday whether you believed in the virus or not. Shit felt off, I'm sure the players were no different. They are human in the end.
Worked through it all as an essential worker and you got the virus part correct, but to me it wasn’t weird at all. It was great to drive to work with barely any cars on the road. Would be awesome to lockdown again.🥴🤦🏽♂️🤣
@@simplysimple7628 air travel was definitely better. But half my crew wanted to be there and the other half only because they had to be. I was fine, but the 60 ppl working under me didn't always share that same position and it showed in the overall performance.
But everyone had a layoff, so theres literally no advantage. Those players who were "hurt" by a layoff would have been abysmal in a regular season playoff
Not just pure ballin. Bron need to just pure ball w no fans maybe he would have 6 rings. But fans have a way of messing with him. He didn’t have to hear it!
The bit about players who never have good games all of a sudden dropping 30 would apply to players on every team so I don't see how that would make it harder.
@@princeky150 I didn't say it would. I think it just doesn't matter. Every player experienced the same thing. They all had to deal with the same shit. The only way I can see it materring is if the best player(s) on the most relevant contenders are impacted positively or negatively. Like if LeBron and AD both perform better when there is no fans but Harden and Westbrook remain the same you could make the case it was "easier" for the Lakers because their most impactful players benefited from the lack of fans where the Rocket's best players didn't (that's just an example, I'm not saying it's true in the Lakers case)
It would be harder though for the defensive coach POV. They would struggle to adjust if an unknown goes off. but good for offensive coaches i guess because it means more potential offensive options, if they understood it.
The aspect that people forget is that there was a huge gap of time that the season was paused. That allowed players to rest up, teams to find new strategies. That dynamic completely changed the energy and dynamicss of the season. Teams that had momentum were stopped and other found new momentum.
Is the court the same size between the lines and was the hoop still 10 feet? The game was the same. All the other stuff had an impact I'm sure, but basketball is still Basketball at the end of the day
Sure technically, but you’re missing CONTEXT and context matters! So many players missing because of COVID, injury, or couldn’t make it to the bubble. As well as mentally it’s not the same. With all that who did the Lakers have to beat really? Jimmy butler 😂 let’s be real it was a gimme a “Mickey Mouse” ring!!
Were there refs? Was there a ball? Was there a scoreboard? I can go on and on. People don’t understand that playing in front of a massive crowd makes a huge difference but of course you probably a bron lover
Statistically, the championship ranks very low in difficulty on the most difficult championships of all time list. JxmyHighroller has a video debunking the ‘diffuse’ of some recent chips
Just a proud nuggets fan reminiscing about the series comebacks vs jazz and especially the clippers. Although they didn’t win they definitely started getting respect as a team which is a win for me
@@jazzminchen4204 They traded away half the team immediately after winning, had injuries to important players last year and a bs change of strategy that sucked this year. Really not the same team at all, and kind of a dumb question.
Jxmyhighroller did a good video breaking this down. In terms of difficulty of opponents, the Lakers statistically have the easiest championship in nba history
That's what I'm thinking too, there is no pressure and everyone can have good games. The lower seed teams suddenly have a fair advantage while the higher seeds lost it. It became more competitive but people are not realizing it.
If it was any team besides a team that Bron was on that won the chip in the bubble, there would have been no question if it was legit or not. There will always be haters. Fook the haters. 👑 🐐
I think it was bogus. There were many different elements that contribute to it being different. You have no home court advantage or disadvantage, the crowd support is lacking. Some players thrive in these environments as well as others who won't play well under the pressure of the fans would have no problem playing in the gym environment. It would feel like training to them and there are other contributing factors. I don't consider that chip but that's just my opinion.

I would never understand how people can be so obsessed about a 36 year old man with a wife and kids purely because you think someone else is/was better than him at his profession. Imagine being like this over a plumber named Joe, who is great and what he does but because plumber Bob was better than him 20 years ago, just continually insult Joe. Seems very stupid
If the Clippers won instead of the Lakers I guarantee you that championship wouldn’t be called fake but because the Lakers won it is questioned by many
Let's be honest though, the Mickey mouse ring gave us one of the greatest highlights of any playoffs. People just hate it since random players came out and scored 30. But even then scoring 30 is still hard for a lot of NBA players even with less contested shots.
Most of the league's superstars had covid, there was zero pressure to win against the good teams anymore and the average joe was having career highlights in the bubble. Leflop pushed for the season to continue AFTER it was cancelled cuz he was aware how easy it was to qualify for finals. That ring is more of a participation ribbon than anything else and this season is proof of it. Dude stacked his team and still bitches about wanting more superstars.
Winning a championship in the bubble was tougher for the players because the mental toll of staying in a bubble for about three months can get to the players. The Lakers felt very satisfied they won the title and they can finally go back home after three long, tough months.
I totally agree with this assessment. It was much harder to get pumped up with no fans there so it had it’s major hurdles & that’s why I think the Heat did really good & then we’re average after the bubble! 💯💪
