Yeah spouler alert: he says that after people found out his father is back from the dad and he became op af and almost killed a top ranked hunter easily so one of the scientists questioned him what he would do if that giy is his father then he says that exact quote
While they do not often appear directly, though they have their moments, their mere existence is what originally motivated the mc. While he is much stronger that core still remains, the idea of family first. So saying that them disappearing would not effect the story is for the most part a misconception of the story.
@@guillermovasquez2622 your comment is sooo off base it reeks of someone who didn't read the story lol. His mother is literally the reason he stayed being a hunter this point is illustrated repeatedly. His mom and his sister are literally his biggest driving forces lmaoo.
@@nathanjoseph5449 that's not the point. Everyone that reads the LN are either Spoiling everything. Or just completely bragging about it. Like is it that big of an achievement?
Not exactly, you can say it's also to entice him to read more. All actions aren't that narrow even with how many people use them. And in this case, it's mostly really not at all bragging. It's really more like "oh you're gonna like the next part."
Who ever thinks he’s evil is so wrong. 🤦♂️ I say this because in one of the chapters he sent his some of his shadow people to help the city out and saves a whole A rank and B rank team in an other chapter. Also he had to kill those guys in the D rank dungeon because they betrayed him and try to kill him like if I were him I would kill them too like who do they think they are?! So this leads me to my conclusion that make me think he’s one of those heroes where people don’t really know he’s helping them however he does it for his own benefit. I really don’t know if he is bad because he killed iron but it’s justified because Iron is selfish and left the group and then tried to killed Jin sung woo. Jin sung woo is nor bad or good. U guys should read the LN. It adds way more detail to how the characters feel and how polished it is.
@@thomassmithcozyambience7908 true, but the one he killed was an arrogant douche. What he did is justified in that world, since it was self defense that too
He's not a anti hero, he only killed about 10 people throughout the 200+ chapters and they started the fight by wanting to kill him Whilst Deadpool killed 12 in 1 scene
Pell D. indestructible read the LN lol. See if u can read that all day XD Takes me forever but I’m loving it because of all the extra details it has :3
Not really spoiler but... The hunter association ranking system... After S rank hunters, is a National level hunter. There's nothing after that... technically
You might've just gotten used to typical main characters to call him "NOT A GOOD GUY" so many times. And why, just because he killed people that not only were trying to kill him, but were vicious people that surely killed others before and might've continued to do so? There are lots of anime or series where good guys kill. Take Guts from Berserk or many characters from GOT for example. They might not look as 'edgy' while doing so, but it doesn't change a thing. Again... you shouldn't get used to characters that when they kill someone at some point (IF), it'll haunt them for weeks and they'll be very dramatic and traumatised and see blood on their hands and stuff like that, before swearing to never take a human life again... and then when a character is able to pull something like this to raise villain flags or whatever
Tbh, Shin from Kingdom is more of a villain than Jin-Woo if we’re measuring it like that. Shin: *IF I KILL THIS GUY THAT MEANS I GET A PROMOTION WOOOO*
This is the problem with this Webnovel Community. You can't contain yourself and ends up Spoiling everyone. One of the few reasons why Webtoon can never be surpass Manga Community.
The great part about being you to anime is that every single thing is new and every single thing is like so awesome I swear like I have a never-ending supply of videos I can watch.
I was in fucking awe when I caught up to the latest chapter. The art is phenomenal, there is no other way to describe it. Especially when compared to others works of the same type. I read everything in one go, 5 hours of goodness and enjoyment.
I don't think he is a villain, he is not even a bad guy. What he did (killed the other hunters that wanted to kill him) was absolutely normal. If you think about what happens in cases like that characters just start to cry and refuse to do it becouse "oH mY gOd ThEy ArE hUmAnS" or they would just kill them and become the antagonist. In this case however he takes the right decision, very fast and with no regrets. After that he still cares about other people life and his mentality didn't change. He acted as every person which life is in danger would act. His way of thinking is very logic and I love him for that. I hope I got the point.
Thank you so much Chibi for mentioning this series! I had an absolute blast binging it and I would be denied the pleasure were I not to stumble upon your video.
if you think this is bad (making the MC kill poeple) you should read UnOrdinary, i'm really curious what your opinions would be about certain things that happen there..
@@aieve9493 I'm reading it atm but the current shadow world arc (the first one to boot) is a bit of a dry spell for me. They are stretching a bit too far imo and it's getting a bit boring but still a good series to read nonetheless.
Also notable mentions are: -Wind Breaker -Apotheosis -Volcanic Age -Everlasting God of Sword -Moshi Fanren -Hero? I Quit a Long Time Ago -Other World Warrior -Game obu Familia -Family Senki- -Raid -Master of Gu (no update for quite awhile, sad) What can I say, I'm a connoisseur of manga/manwha/manhua. Ofc there are series like God of Highschool, Taales of Demons and Gods and Star Martial God Techniques but everyone else already mentioned it. To everyone reading this, give it a try if you haven't. Peace.
just a short quate its from the light noval but the meaning was the same in the manhwa " Yet, he had trouble attacking someone who could speak . Especially if that person was begging for mercy ." or as he placed the shadows to protect the neighbourhood and and and, and killing people that try to kill him and his friends = HE IS A VILLAIN SUCH A MONSTER! that some people in the comment section REALLY think that oh my sorry that he is not your cry baybe main character go back watch naruto or whatever. That was my point now i can maybe see why some people thought this at some point but all together he never harmed other peole really more he protced them if he can (red gate, the high lvl A-dungeon with the high orcs) again just to give some examples :)
Challenges he will face are mostly society ones. Meaning that the stronger he gets, the more S rank hunters (aka ppl that even countries don't control) will fear what he might do with the power he has and maybe threaten him, etc, etc . Also as I said in another comment , we don't yet know how an S rank dungeon is (and even an S rank dungeon could differ from another ) OR the fact that he might encounter the statues again or other unknown enemies from other worlds (since he is a player and this is supposed to act as a game, he isn't going to solo all of it probably ). As for Hardcore Leveling Warrior: I recently finished season 1 (chapter 183) and I have to say that rather than focusing only on the leveling and becoming op, the first season was more of a problem solver and theme setter for the second one. Meaning that a lot of real-world problems were shown and solved, we learned all we needed to know about Lucid Adventure without knowing too much and we got a nice plot set for the second season (currently chapter 184-185). But it also had its fair share of amazing fights and the H.C.L.W. did show how strong he was in his prime in the last chapters rather than the first one's witch made the whole wait worth it to be honest. SPOILERS FROM NOW OWN: That's why he wants to make his own guild later on. To protect his family, help out the world in general and gather allies to help with the "Game". As for a level cap, currently, he is 93 I believe or 97 so if there is the one I don't think it is just 100 like most RPG games but rather 1K or Infinite (the problem will be reaching them when even S rank dungeons will be crap XP, etc )
@Samurai Ninja I checked wiki , i wont say his lvl at the end of the novel but yes its above 100 and possibly it could be infinite but just get impossible to lvl up with just S class mobs.
Actually, through the rest of the story every time he has to "save"/"Kill" others even if it is not a quest (because those except inside the dungeons get pretty rare) he tries to find the best way possible (you will see what I mean near chapter 70). Also to clarify: S rank isn't a set strength rank, ppl in there have a ranking of their own so to say, meaning that not all S ranks are equally powerful (quite the opposite actually).
I really liked it but I stop it after the fight against X I really felt that should end at this time but they keep going with the MC go back to zero . I find this annoying and I lose interest Is it get better after this ? The few chapter I read after were about a kind of fight between different group to take the MC . For me I felt the same as with the god of high school there was a big arc that should be final arc but the author make it continu and I lose interest
I also stopped at some point but I came back to find out a lot of people started liking Eunju even though she is the most hypocritical and biased character in the story. She may have good intentions but they are not well thought out or considerate of how others feel or their perspectives.
I've gotten a bit more info on recent chapters and it seems the views of the main characters are mixed and heated. So far tho the majority now despise the MC, Dongtae and like Eunju and see her as the only true moral character. There also seems to be more criticism regarding how the story has been written so far...oh well
@Oz he isnt like kirito, but they both had to do what had to be done. To say sung is bad is pretty stupid. He doesn't actively try to kill people, the system protected him and forced him to do what had to be done. Sung at the beginning of the story literally had no will to kill anyone, so the system in order to make him strong made him kill a bunch of scum bags. This story is pretty badass, generic in many ways, but I cant wait to get the truth of the dungeons. Seems like it's pretty much just a game, even a monster glitched out when talking to sung in the snow world
@Blackswordsman6 so let's say I kill a child molester, would it be the same if I killed a 5 year old toddler? I want to see youa argue that.. murder IS murder regardless, the act is the same, it's the meaning behind it that makes it either a justified murder or not... but go ahead, I want to hear you argue that...
@@jesusdominguez401 It will be a really long wait til' the manhwa gets to the point about the truth of the dungeons(proly 1-2 years?). I suggest reading the LN
I've finally read Solo Leveling so i came back to watch this. It has been 3 months! Looking forward to see your next videos about this (some already public).
let me just say this as a person who have finished reading ENTIRE light novel including all the side stories RAW in korean. Chibi, you have only scratched the surface of ice berg. At the moment, i think solo leveling has 83 chapters out in webtoon but i wanna say that we are barely 1/15th if not, 1/20th way there. This is going to take like 3-5 years at the very least to finish up and yes, his character is definitely dark for the time being (which also fits his job/character) but this by no means that he's turning into villain and become ruthless killer. You will really need to just wait and see what happens later :D
@@NinjapowerMS it is finished including all the side stories. There is a fully translated version from what i know but I don't have the link myself. But you could ask ppl from my solo leveling themed discord server :P discord.gg/ZhfWVKk
I think he isn't a villain because he does what is need to do to protect himself but he was pushed to the edge so he is in a purgatory state, you could argue anyone side if you want to. I think these question shows that this is a good manhaw
Chibi is your moment to get into Hardcore leveling Warrior and Unordinary they just finished their 1st season, by the sense of "refreshing" or more original I think both give different views in tematics that are often used (fantasy world/powers) as Solo leveling is doing
The light novel of the story is already finished. The manhwa is pretty far behind, and it leaves out some details. I do very much recommend to read the light novel
@@foxheart13 Yes, You'll have to look around the web, I found it on some sketchy website called readlightnovel.com. the first 242 chapters are smoothly translated, the last 30ish chapters are a bit rough due to lack of translators
I don’t know when it states this but I recall him feeling that as he gets stronger, the more he feels empty (maybe it’s because he’s slowly loosing each of his emotions). (Edit): also when you said that he wasn’t a good person it kinda triggered me. I understand that you haven’t finished reading it but he’s only human. After what has happened to him I’m suprised he hasn’t become completely insane. If a bunny was backed into a corner the bunny will bite you in order to survive.
I think it's more him realising his feeling less empathetic towards people in general and less attached to people he doesn't know, rather than him actually loosing his emotion. I think he was more him processing the fact his personality is changing and realising how little his started to care about people who are potential enemies or people he doesn't know.
Try Peerless Dad ! So few people know about it, yet it is soooo good. Along with Gosu and Mujang, it is definitly the best Martial Arts Manhwa has to offer.
Oh my god, i been reading this for along time now, and to see one of my fave anime youtubers read it is awesome. Good luck in catching up with the chapters. Hope you make a video on it when you have time.
I love how this manhwa is getting some attention because I have been a big fan since it started releasing. Besides of chibi I havent heard of any bigger anime/manga youtubers who talked about Solo Leveling, but hey, we are getting there. I encourage everyone to spread word about this manhwa because it deserves the attention.
@Fine Wine jin woo is beyond nation hunter..infact he is the KING of GOD!that what I read in the novel You'll see and his father is one of the nation rank hunterm
I love these early impression vids cause in this series later on you realize all you think you knew is wrong, this series has alot of hidden stuff in each chapter that connects to future events and pat event before jinn woo was alive
