Matt 27:20 But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed. Mar 15:9 “Do you want me to release to you the king of the Jews?” asked Pilate, 10 knowing it was out of self-interest that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him. 11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release Barabbas instead. 12 “What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them. 13 “Crucify him!” they shouted. 14 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!” Luke 23:18 But the whole crowd shouted, “Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!” 19 (Barabbas had been thrown into prison for an insurrection in the city, and for murder.) 20 Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate appealed to them again. 21 But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!” John 19:6 As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted, “Crucify! Crucify!” WHO DEMANDED YESHUA BE CRUCIFIED?

@KasperKatje No thanking the LEADERS of the Jews of Yeshua/Jesus's time who murdered him. It doesn't work that way. We don't thank Judas for what he did. Would you thank a person if they murdered one of your loved ones? NO! We could forgive them. We can still love our enemies. But God DEMANDS justice for the evil. Which comes eventually. Peace

It’s a historical fact that during the decade ( 10 years) Pontius Pilate was Governor of Judea on 5 occasions the Jewish elite took complaints about Pilate to Caesar (in Rome) and on each occasion Caesar ruled in favor of the Jews. On one particular occasions Pilate first arrived in judea with his entourage he also brought his pagan gods as was customary in a Roman province. The Jews withstood him and complained to Caesar and Caesar ruled in favor of the Jews. A second occasion Caesar sent a decree that his statue would be placed in Jerusalem. As Pilate complied with Caesar’s decree the Jews again petitioned with a complaint against Pilate , again Caesar ruled in favor of the Jews. Every time Pilate attempted to exert his authority as governor the Jews would petition Caesar. The Jewish elite in Jerusalem as well as Herod and also Philo of Alexandria wrote letters and appeared before Caesar with complaints of Pilate. Pilate was recalled by Caesar and censured on several occasions. It was obvious that Pilate’s rule in Judea was closely guided by the Jews. When the Pharisees said concerning the judgment of Jesus “ if you let him go you are no friend of Caesar “ this was a veiled threat . Being brought before Caesar once every 24 months on the average and losing taught Pilate who truly ruled in Judea.

I don't think nehemia has gone very deep into the Talpiot Tomb regarding the other ossuaries and the names upon them. It's not just the, "every tomb has a yshua son of yosayf," as he describes it. Mariamne had her ossuary in their and also of note yaakov brother of yshua. It's probably the tomb of yshua that was executed and not quite dead but entombed as if he was but three days later was seen alive. Certainly in the timeframe of Daniel, he was the candidate for the mashiakh.

Thank you for this video. If they're not following the instructions of Jesus, they're not being Christian. Don't blame Beethoven when someone plays his music poorly. The Jewish people did not kill murder crucify Yeshua/Jesus. Many Jews of his time recognized that he was the Messiah and decided to follow him. It was clearly the Jewish leadership who were intimidated by him and therefore banded together and called for his murder. They got the Romans to do it. So, the Jewish leadership and the Romans murdered Jesus for no good reason. Peace😊

What is the difference between Hellenists and Hebrews? The Hebrews were Jewish Christians who spoke almost exclusively Aramaic, and the Hellenists were also Jewish Christians whose mother tongue was Greek. They were Greek-speaking Jews of the Diaspora, who returned to settle in Jerusalem. To identify them, Luke uses the term Hellenistai. As Christian Judaism originated at Jerusalem, so Gentile Christianity started at Antioch, then the leading center of the Hellenistic East, with Peter and Paul as its apostles. From Antioch it spread to the various cities and provinces of Syria, among the Hellenistic Syrians as well as among the Hellenistic Jews who, as a result of the great rebellions against the Romans in A.D. 70 and 130, were driven out from Jerusalem and Palestine into Syria. Even Israeli rabbis of Babylonian Jewish descent such as Hillel the Elder whose parents were Aramaic-speaking Jewish migrants from Babylonia (hence the nickname "Ha-Bavli"), had to learn Greek language and Greek philosophy in order to be conversant with sophisticated rabbinical language - many of the theological innovations introduced by Hillel had Greek names, most famously the Talmudic notion of Prozbul, from Koine Greek προσβολή, "to deliver": Unlike literary Hebrew, popular Aramaic or Hebrew constantly adopted new Greek loanwords, as is shown by the language of the Mishnaic and Talmudic literature. While it reflects the situation at a later period, its origins go back well before the Christian era. The collection of the loanwords in the Mishna to be found in Schürer shows the areas in which Hellenistic influence first became visible- military matters, state administration and legislature, trade and commerce, clothing and household utensils, and not least in building. The so-called copper scroll with its utopian list of treasures also contains a series of Greek loanwords. When towards the end of the first century BCE, Hillel in practice repealed the regulation of the remission of debts in the sabbath year (Deut. 15.1-11) by the possibility of a special reservation on the part of the creditor, this reservation was given a Greek name introduced into Palestinian legal language- perōzebbōl = προσβολή, a sign that even at that time legal language was shot through with Greek. - Martin Hengel, Judaism and Hellenism (1974) Romaniote History: Romaniote Jews, the indigenous Jews of Greece, have lived on Greek soil for over 2,300 years and have the distinction of the longest, continuous Jewish presence in the European Diaspora. www.kkjsm.org/romaniote-history- So, according to Tovia, God can not be a man, and God can not speak Greek? Looks like he loves to limit God's power. He sounds so arrogant! I guess no one told him that there are Jews who speak Greek. Just come to Thesaloniki/Salonika (which they have lived there since, and even before Jesus time), in Greece and you will see that many Greek Jews do speak Greek. I know, because I am from Greece. He sounds more like a Muslim than a Jew. The Jews of Salonika during the Roman and Byzantine periods had Greek names and spoke Greek. The oldest and the most characteristic Jewish group that has inhabited Greece are the Romaniotes, also known as "Greek Jews." The term "Greek Jew" is predominantly used for any Jew that lives in or originates from the modern region of Greece. The Hellenistic Period (c. 3rd to 1st centuries BCE) www.etz-hayyim-hania.org/the-jews-of-crete/the-history-of-the-jews-of-crete/#:~:text=The%20term%20'Romaniote'%20refers%20to,that%20emerged%20in%20those%20territories. The Jewish presence in Crete dates from the 4th and 3rd centuries BCE when Jews arrived from Egypt, perhaps part of Egyptian military campaigns, and from Palestine during the Maccabean Revolt. These early communities were Hellenised, that is, culturally Greek. It was for these and other communities which no longer spoke Hebrew that the Bible was translated into Greek, the so-called Septuagint.

There is a specific command to not malign Father Yehovah's name; so would not it be Important to not malign His Son's name? His name is not Jesus Yeshua. His name is not Yeshua Jesus. It is to insult Savior Yeshua by calling Him by a Greek word not associated with Him. 🌾His name is Yeshua🌾 John 5: 23. I John 2: 23. 🔸Hosea 4: 6.

Satan is the one who orchestrated the death of Yeshua, but Yehovah knew this even from the Garden of Eden and made a prophesy about it in Genesis. Yeshua was the only perfect one that could die for our sins as the Passover lamb symbolically. Yeshua was resurrected. In the end, Yehovah allowed it to happen, I don't think we need to blame any humans (but the Bible is clear about what groups of people wanted him dead). We sinned and needed a savior. A person also mentioned in a reply below that we are all responsible because we all sinned, which caused us to need a savior.

@@cheryldeboissiere1851 (Isaiah 48:16) Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken [Word of God] in secret from the beginning [John 8:42]; from the time that it was, there am I [Jesus]: and now the Lord God [YHWH], and His Spirit [Holy Spirit], hath sent me (John 14:26). * All 3 are manifestations of 1 God that have one mind, meaning that they are in total agreement. (1 Corinthians 2:16). Therefore, the visible Jesus is the embodiment of the fullness of the Godhead (John 14:9). Jesus says that he and the Father are “one” in purpose, and unified in their goals and actions (John 10:30). Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords (1 Timothy 6:13-16; Revelation 17:14; Revelation 19:16) for his Kingdom is everlasting (Daniel 7:14; Luke 1:33)! @@cheryldeboissiere1851 **** The messianic prophecy found in Jeremiah 23 teaches us that the Messiah will be God himself. The Sages themselves understood and taught this passage in the same way. Some verses show that the Messiah would also be God… other verses show that He cannot simply be a man. 1. Isaiah 9:6 ‘For a child is born unto us, a son is given unto us; and the government is upon his shoulder; and his name is called Pele-joez-el-gibbor-Abi-ad-sar-shalom;’ This child which is born is called "El-Gibbor", which as I’m sure you know is 'Mighty God' and is never used of a man. Avi-Ad is literally ‘Father of Eternity’ and could never describe a mere man. Some quotes for you… In the Targum of Isaiah we read: "His name has been called from old, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, He who lives forever, the Anointed One (Messiah), in whose days peace shall increase upon us." Midrash Mishle, S. Buber edition: The Messiah is called by eight names: Yinnon, Tzemah, Pele ["Miracle"], Yo'etz ["Counselor"], Mashiah ["Messiah"], El ["God"], Gibbor ["Hero"], andAvi 'Ad Shalom ["Eternal Father of Peace"] The great rabbi Ibn Ezra said: There are some interpreters who say that ‘wonderful, counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father’ are the names of God, and that only ‘prince of peace’ is the name of the child. But according to my view, the right interpretation is that they are all the names of the child. (Walter Riggans, Yeshua Ben David [Wowborough, East Sussex; MARC, 1995], p. 370) Clearly, if this was the only verse, it shows that this child is called God. The Rabbis called the Messiah by the name ‘God’. 2. Jeremiah 23:5-6 'The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness. The Messiah is given the name of God alone. Jehovah. The Midrash on Proverbs 19:21 says ‘Rabbi Hunah said ‘Eight names are given to the Messiah which are Yinnon, Shiloh, David, Menachem, Jehovah, Justi de Nostra, Tzemmach, Elias.’ The Midrash on Lam 1:16 says ‘What is the name of the Messiah? Rav Ava ben Kahanna said ‘Jehovah is his name and this is proved by, ‘this is his name… [quoting Jer 23:6].’ So this passage and these Rabbinic quotes show that the Messiah was called Jehovah. No mere man would ever be called by God’s name. 3. Micah 5:2 But thou, Beth-lehem Ephrathah, which art little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall one come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from ancient days. The Targum Jonathan (second century A. D.) : ‘And You Bethlehem Ephrath, you who were too small to be numbered among the thousands of the house of Judah, From you shall come forth before Me... The Messiah.’ In regards to the Messiah’s human origin He is said to have been born in Bethlehem, but regarding His divine origin He is said to be ‘from old, from ancient days.’ Arnold Fruchenbaum writes ‘The Hebrew for ‘from long ago, from the days of eternity’ are the strongest Hebrew words ever used for eternity past. They are used of God the Father in Psalm 90:2… Again we have a passage which shows that Messiah is to be human - being born at some specific point in time at some specific place - yet having existed since eternity past, and therefore divine.’ 4. Psalm 2:7-12 Messiah would be the Son of God. Therefore He would be divine. And in case you think this isn’t about the Messiah, Rabbi Rashi says ‘Our Rabbis expound it as relating to King Messiah.’ 5. Isaiah 7:14 While you don’t like it, the prophecy shows that a virgin would give birth to a child who is literally, ‘God with us’. The Hebrew word 'Almah' is used in this passage and speaks of a virgin. Arnold Fruchtenbaum writes ‘Since everyone agrees that 'almah' means an unmarried woman, if the woman in Isaiah 7:14 were a non-virgin, then God would be promising a sign involving fornication and illegitimacy. It is unthinkable that God would sanction sin, and in any case, what would be so unusual about an illegitimate baby that could possibly constitute a sign? As far as ancient Jewish writers were concerned, there are no arguments about Isaiah 7:14 predicting a virgin birth… The Jews who made this translation (Septuagint), living much closer to the times of Isaiah than we do today, translated Isaiah 7:14 using the Greek word parthenos which very clearly and exclusively means a virgin. 6. Psalm 110 We know from 1 Kings 2:19 that anyone who sits at the king’s right hand must be equal with the King. This Psalm of David’s speaks of someone other than Jehovah who is "David’s lord". This Lord is both a priest and a king and sits at Jehovah’s right hand. It is a joke to say that this is David himself as David was from not a priest, but was from the tribe of Judah. Nor does he sit at the right hand of God. It is the Messiah who is spoken about in this passage and He is equal to God. 7. Prov 30:4 Here is a riddle for you… It consists of 6 questions. The first 4 questions are obviously about God Himself as only God could accomplish these things. The fifth question asks what the name of God is. I’m sure you can answer this one. The sixth question reveals that God has a Son! And it asks what His name is! Oh, oh! I know, I know. The Messiah is the son of God and His name is Jesus! 8. Psalm 45:6-7 Elohim is applied to two divine personalities in the same verse! The second Elohim is called the God of the first Elohim! Only makes sense in terms of the Messiah being God, the son of God as other verses have shown! 9. Hosea 1:7 We see the same thing where the speaker (God - Elohim) will save them by the Jehovah, their Elohim. Elohim is again spoken of as two distinct personalities. Another example is Gen 19:24. 10. Zech 2:10-11 Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,” declares the LORD. “Many nations will be joined with the LORD in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you.’ The LORD is going to dwell amongst us and it is the LORD Almighty that sent Him! **** Can it get any clearer? This shows the YHWH sent YHWH and only makes sense when you know that the Messiah Jesus is God! He is the one who lived amongst us. He is ‘God with us!’ That is why in the Shema, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!’, the ‘our God’ part is plural in the Hebrew (literally ‘our Gods’ and the word for ‘one’ is echad - a compound unity, not absolute unity as in the word ‘yachid’.) Arnold writes ‘If Moses had intended to teach God’s absolute oneness as opposed to His compound oneness, this would have been a far more appropriate word (yachid) to use.’ *** But he didn’t! He used echad which is used in such passages as Gen 1:5 where evening and morning are called one (echad’) day. Gen 2:24 where when man and woman come together in marriage and are called ‘one flesh’. Ezra 2:64 where the whole assembly was one, though ofcourse it comprised of many people. Or Ezek 37:17 where the two sticks are combined to become one. These are all uses of echad and show that it is a compound unity. Even in the Old Testament there are three distinct personalities that are co-equal (of the same essence, of the same nature) that are considered divine. 1. The Lord YHWH 2. The Angel of YHWH 3. The Spirit of God. The Angel of the Lord is clearly seen to be divine in passages such as Gen 16:7-14, Gen 22:9-16, Gen 31:11-13, 32:24-30, Ex 3:1-5, Judges 6:11-24 amongst others. These passages show that ‘The Angel of the Lord’ is much more than just an angel and is a fulfillment of the Micah prophecy about the Messiah ‘whose goings forth have been from eternity.’ The Spirit of God is clearly divine in such passages as Gen 1:2, Psalm 51:11, Isaiah 11:2, Isaiah 63:10, Isaiah 63:14 amongst others. Arnold writes ‘The Holy Spirit cannot be a mere emanation because, as can be seen in these quotations, He has all the characteristics of personality - intellect, emotion and will - and is considered divine.’ Arnold points out that all three personalities are used in the same passage such as Isa 48:12-16 where God the creator of the earth is speaking and says that He has been sent by another, Jehovah, together with a third person, the Spirit of Jehovah. This is the trinity! And it is clearly seen in the Tanach. The three are seen also in Isaiah 63:7-14.
