“The reason the U.S. needs to print more money is because there's a demand for it,” says Brent Johnson, CEO of Santiago Capital and creator of the Dollar Milkshake Theory. He tells Daniela Cambone that the petrodollar will not be jeopardized despite recent headlines. Johnson explains the history behind why Saudi Arabia began selling oil primarily in dollars in the 1970s and why this practice will continue. “Saudi Arabia has always had the option to sell oil in currencies other than the dollar. They do so to a limited extent, but even when invoiced in another currency, it's still priced in US dollars,” he says. Johnson also discusses the political troubles in Europe due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, stating, “I feel like the whole Ukraine situation is, in many ways, the U.S. sacrificing Europe.” Watch the insightful interview to learn more about Johnson's thoughts.

Saudi did NOT say they would no longer trade oil in dollars, they said they would no longer trade oil "exclusivly in dollars", meaning they would trade oil in any "viable currency" or gold.

"The whole world runs on dollars" he said, but when there is one less reason to use those dollars, that means those dollars will return to the us and the more the us prints the more dollars that will enter the US economy. When China, the factory of the world, and Saudi Arabia, start rejecting the USD, then there is a problem; "it is hard to get 3 people to agree on something" For a family diner, that might be true, for the world economy, it isn't, not when you know your ASSETS COULD BE SEIZED for disagreeing with the US in a certain topic or policy; and FOR MANY COUNTRIES IT IS AN INEXORABLE REALITY that there would come a moment that they will have a disagreement with the US... that is the reason they are retrieving their gold. They are intending to have the least assets as possible within the US' reach.

What the so-called Experts do not understand is what is known as “Law that governs the Cycles of Empires”. The United States had its glory days after the second war, and it is now in a decline, this is a natural law the dictates how long an Empire can sustain itself. An Empire can prolong its life if it makes good decisions but it can also accelerate its demise by making the wrong decisions - the latter can be seen with the useless wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the continuous expenditures of billions of US dollars in support of the Ukraine war and the Gaza conflict. The other side of this coin is China …. China does not waste its resources in useless wars or conflicts, instead, it is investing in its military and infrastructure, and based on the law mentioned the day will come in which China will be the number one economy and military power, and the United States will become less relevant. Those who put in question this Law, I suggest you read the history of some of the Empires that did not understand this law such as the British, the Persians, and the Romans just to mention a few.

Why shouldn't it work for the BRICS countries to buy gold with their US reserve dollars and pay each other more and more with gold?
@jcgoogle1808
@jcgoogle1808 Месяц назад
A. Gold isn't a convenient medium of exchange. Are they going to send crates of gold back and forth when they buy stuff from each other? B. To trade a new currency, you need to build a huge infrastructure for clearing transactions, to control it, manage the currency, businesses and banks to accept it,.. C. Most importantly, they need the West as a trading partner or their economies will collapse. They can't sell oil to each other. And the US, Canada and Mexico could provide energy for the West. Just need to get the "climate change" alarmist wackos out of the way.
@J.Smith-rc6wh
@J.Smith-rc6wh Месяц назад
will not work, if you have a defecit with a country, you will have the same again next year, requiring more and more gold going in only one direction . . . to replace the USD, each country needs to be able to convert it's own currency into a trading currency and needs it's trading partners to be able to do the same. An iou, for what was gold before the US defaulted on its obligations and severed the connection. Once that happened it was only a matter of time until the dollar fails. Now it's here. I mean Brent Johnson is a very intelligent dude but I don't think he thought this all the way through... If the value of the dollar is only backed by debt and most entities are in more debt than they could ever pay back because of the dollar shortage that's also causing inflation from the need to print because they've issued more debt than there are dollars in the system then what is the actual value of the dollar if the only thing backing it are overinddebted insolvent entities???? I mean to me this entire argument makes absolutely no sense I mean maybe you have to be a Keynesian economist where two plus one equals four to understand it? And you're right getting away from the dollar as a world reserve currency would be a volatile event and military would be involved let's look around why are there already wars going on across the world and Putin staging in Cuba on our doorstep?? The people that drive this system do not understand that there are way more factors and inputs other than just faith they're trying to drive a false narrative because they think that so long is everyone believes the dollar has value then it has value I've got news for you money is a hell of a lot more than just psychological .. Not to mention that this transaction could happen overnight very easily.. literally all these countries have to agree on is the repricing of physical gold and silver much much higher and then they can settle their debts because they all hold hoards of physical gold and silver.. The only people that do not want the dollar to die or Americans and Wall Street that have the majority of their wealth wrapped up in dollar denominated assets because they're idiots The only thing strong about the dollar is it's false narrative... Not it's real value.. value is not derived from a basket of fake currencies.. well the dollars the cleanest shirt in the dirty laundry I'm not wearing a dirty shirt !!!! I'd rather go naked. I think all of the powers that be in the world really and truly had better understand and comprehend that the world is changing lies cannot be hidden, The truth always comes out and we are done with all of the lies manipulations and Ponzi schemes to help the rich get richer while the poor get poorer! Level the playing field or we will!! So... It's controversial when using the dollar made him stronger. And not using the dollar will make him stronger. Brent is still talking about debt that is in dollars. But this is precisely the point: implementing a new global currency will mean that creditos can start accepting it instead of the dollar, if the alternative is not repaying the debt, especially since others accept it. And finally, let me just say that today CBS reported that it had found evidence that Saudi Arabia took part in the 9/11 attacks. An interesting coincidence.

The SDR has been the form of international trade computation since 1944. That system is based on several Currencies. The US Dollar as a Gold Standard Dollar was the dominant currency in the computation of currency exchange rate. That abliity to control world Trade Price, is what BRICS now challenges. Saudi Producers are free to trade with anyone as their Currency is not devalued by the US. That appears to be the issue the USA is not pleased with. The US Currency loses value as more Nations stop buying US Treasury Paper that supports the US Currency.

It literally blows my mind we proudly boast that we are the greatest country in the world while being the biggest criminals on the planet. We have scammed the entire world we don't deserve any respect or trust. We deserve exactly what we get and don't be angry at me be angry at the crooks that designed this crooked system and the politicians that made it our laws. There is no such a thing as creating money from nothing. All forms of money are debt except for gold and silver. The only true money is gold and silver because neither of these metals can be mass produced like paper money. The whole purpose of fractional banking was to maintain a reserve to borrow against. Instead, we attempted to make fiat as important as gold or silver which is like putting the cart before the horse, not very effective. America is the home of artificial reality, artificial intelligence, and artificial wealth. Fancy words for Fake as hell.

The US would make money off of those sales so that basically is what the dollar was based on, after we went off the gold standard!! The whole reason BRICs stated was because those countries had to use US dollars to buy oil, and that made those countries beholden to the US and the US could dictate what those countries could do because the US could sanction those countries by freezing their US treasuries!! They just did it to Russia!! Hasn’t this guy been reading the news?? Sorry but the dollar’s days are over unless somehow it can be backed by something tangible!! TOO MUCH MONEY AND FEWER PRODUCTS= INFLATION... If the Fed tries to reduce the money supply by increasing interests, then you'll see more increase on unemployment, thus more foreclosures, more bankruptcies, etc... only FAST population growth can balance that, A HUGE POP GROWTH OR LWERING THE AGE TO GET LOANS AND CREDIT OR TO THE AGE OF EMPLOYMENT.

The petrodollar is relevant in the sense of the recycling of oil revenues in Treasuries, so that we transitionned from a gold-anchored dollar to a "T-bill standard". What is changing is the US is choosing to defend the Treasury market instead of the currency, in light of the endless deficits and the worrying debt-to-gdp ratio. Potential solutions have been discussed: most probable is to run financial represssion like they did back in 1945-65, to get debt-to-gdp ratio to something more reasonable: it's gonna be different from doing QE but the end result is the same: wealth transfer from the savers to debtors.

I think Brent is right on most of what he said. Daniela nailed it though when she picked up on Brent's premise that if things go bad for the US then we are going to see the bully rise. You just have to look at Britain. The world had to come to the defense of Britain and Europe. Will the world defend the bully. The US is sure not war ready. Given away a lot of their arsenal and is in a debt spiral. The US has not been good shepherds of the reserve currency as it was originally agreed to by the world. War will not maintain the system any more. Depleted oil reserves and even the ability to manufacture the war machine has been lost. Trump will make peace not war. It is the only way out of this mess. Countries accumulating gold because a reset is coming. Euro has a lot of gold. Russia and China are accumulating gold and do not want war but fair treatment. The Cabal in charge of the fiat money system are the ones who lose control. Good riddance to them as they are an evil blight on humanity. Each Country will be responsible to remove their own Cabal support networks. I think if you look around the world people are fed up with the dictator like leaders in supposedly democratic countries. Those leaders are being removed. Rule of law has to be restored. The criminals are running the show. We are in a different kind of war. They want to depopulate countries they do not control and we cannot go along with this. History just repeating.

As Puerto Rico is a mere territory of the USA… it would not be the least bit surprising to hear that foreign troops have landed on the insignificant island….
