as a graphic designer, i hate how some of us do mistakes like this. every graphic designer know better than anyone to double check on every pixel before submitting the final edit.
@tomcahill6467 For a client? Yes. There shouldn't be any mistakes in the FINAL PRODUCT. It should've gone through multiple quality checks before being submitted as the final product.
Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if a physical copy of the game is holographic, showing the initial cover but the hologram is of Kobe’s face. Sometimes people nitpick anything instead of playing the game

Coming from marketing world, that should have been caught by the creative/art department. I've seen "art directors" ask for changes even smaller than this and as the comments on here suggest, many people don't care about this.
Lol the 2k devs are so lazy in creating the same game every year that they don’t even care to take the previous picture out and put a new one in. They literally just put a sticker over there work and said “this is new enough”
For the people who are a lil uneducated. If 2k puts no effort into the cover, why would they put a lot of effort into the game, after all the cover is giving a first impression to a lot of people.
