Tears of laughter and tears of sadness, your vlogs are brilliant and a reflection of the great couple you must be together. My wife has recently decided there is a better life...but without me apparently, so I have had to leave the family home and my boys and am currently living in my van, renault trafic, for the foreseeable until I can figure out what to do next. At 48 I never thought I'd be in this situation, sorry to tell you my woes but my point is that I have had some quite dark thoughts and times of late and watching your vlog allowed me to laugh, so thankyou and good luck for your future, never stop talking to one another x
Hi Mark, Andy here. Without going in to detail I totally understand where you are. Despite what social media tries to present to the world, life as a man in the 2020’s is definitely not all privilege. Remember your worth, try your best for your kids and wake up every morning knowing that it’s a new day. It’s always darkest before the dawn. If I didn’t have my dark days I wouldn’t have met the sunshine in my life Claire. Things will get better. Never give in.

I hitchhiked around here in the 1980s from Ullapool round to Durness and on to Thurso. One very chilly night in a tent in Tongue wild camping, and another there when I couldn’t get a lift all day and a local took me in, about my age, 22 or so, into his warm living room and I slept on his floor. Another very cold night in a beach shelter in Thurso and then I’d had enough. Amazing scenery though, and I’ve never forgotten it, especially Balnakeil bay in Durness, which was like Greece, but better, minus the warmth!

NC500 zI managed it by Motorcycle with my son. Its a awesome place thats just gets better. Im back up in Oban next week risking car camping and hoping the Shiny ball appears lol. Great times 3 score year and 10 if ur lucky im on 3 score atm. Got to make more memories

Ahhh yes the fun of the toilet cassette, wait for slimmer to get out 😂😂. Top tip rubber gloves and open top flap and turn blue button then rinse x 3 :) and a bit of Thetford cassette cleaner keeps it fresh inside the MoHo. Oh and put some tea towels between your pots that rattle is terrible.

That was stunning. I’m loving your Scottish road trip. The music was beautiful too. Scotland is my favourite place in the world 🏴 I think your minds are already made up. I feel exactly the same. I’m sick of working and being stressed all the time. Life doesn’t feel enjoyable anymore. I want a motorhome and a dog and just go where the wind takes me. I’ve been to the north of Scotland a couple of times but never done the NC500 which I’d love to. You’re right in that they’re single track roads but there’s hardly anyone on them and loads of passing places so not a problem. We tried some of that Mr Beast/Feastables chocolate (currently only sold in Spar and Asda). It’s rank 🤢😂
Hi there, We agree, we absolutely loved it!! 🏴 We would recommend and really loved the very top and then the beautiful drive west. Tons of passing paces and on those roads definitely no issues. The MrBeast chocolate was terrible. I only had 1 chunk and Andy finished it all hahaha. Have you thought more about getting a van?
@@Stchristopherofatlantis I think about getting a van every day 🤣 If money were no object I’d buy one tomorrow and then bugger off. As things stand, unless I sell the house I just can’t afford it. I love watching your adventures though. You’re doing what I’d love to 👍
Quick one on those top NC500 A roads if you do have bikes behind and you see the road ahead is clear, you are higher and can see further, use your indicator to signal left ~( provided there is no junction ) slow slightly and if they are switched on they will know it means it is safe to overtake, as they can accelerate much faster than a van they should be able to get past safely. I ride and we also have a motorhome so I know how frustrating it can be if you get stuck behind a motorhome on a bike that can do 0-60 in 4 secs and they drive in the middle of the road giving no chance to overtake.

But if you put one round that bleeping pan, set a phone reminder to remove it before you use the oven. 😮😂 ps did you use any loo additive and always put the cap on the floor. Or you might find the only thing flying is the cap in the wind straight down the loo emptying point. 🤢
