I am a major fan of the lightest everything in skating. So when a new lighter light truck comes out, I’m enthusiastic. Not down-playing because I’m not a fan. That being said. Tensor mag lights are the one and ONLY trucks that I’ve actually snapped kingpins straight in half while skating very low impact things and I’m very thin/light weight (150 lbs). I actually had to swap out my tensor mag hollow lit baseplates with tensor mag solid baseplates and paired those with the mag light hollow hangers. As the baseplates are forged so when kingpins snap, you can’t simply replace them like you can other trucks. This is for hex production team. Be AWARE OF THIS MAJORRRR FLAW!!! If you wanna just okay it safe, don’t make baseplates forged so kingpin is swappable. Would still make your truck come in under next lightest, keeping title as worlds lightest. And to be able to rectify this most major malfunction of the tensor mag light hollows…. You’d be winning in style. Clear and concise. Also, make a low version. Technical street skaters are who like light trucks . And many of us also like a lower truck. Keep everything technical friendly. It’s we who are your main consumer!!!
@2HEX
@2HEX Год назад
thanks for the feedback! so far we haven't had any kingpin issues luckily! its crazy how precise a super light truck design has to be. if there is too much pressure anywhere, that part snaps. We are considering a two part baseplate - where pivot and kingpin are not connected - your experience with light trucks - what would you think would happen? where would the breaking point be?

The mag light v2’s? Wth are those? Are you referring to the all terrain geometry (atg)?
@brosettastone7520
@brosettastone7520 Год назад
@@paulvawter8205 hes referring to the design change. Mostly aesthetic. The v1 Mag Lights had a ''10'' logo on the base plate and featured a very small ''mag light'' logo near the pivot head. V2 Maglights no longer have the ''10'' logo or the small smag light logo. only a simple medium sized ''Mag-Light'' logo on the hanger in greyish letters.

Very interesting! I admire the innovation and drive to create a new product. I am curious as to why people like super light trucks though. The Tensor Mag light is already pretty much unskatable to me so I can't imagine anything lighter! Anything lighter than a Thunder Light is a no-go for me. I had bought a pair of Titanium Light Thunders a couple years back, I ended up giving them to a friend after a couple of weeks because they were wayyyy to light. I need that heft in my setup. If it is too light I get ghost pop and it doesn't even feel like skateboarding! So, where is the appeal for you guys that like super light trucks?
@RikRiorik
@RikRiorik Год назад
I imagine if you start out on very light trucks or really commit to it for a looong time you might end up adjusting to it. That said I’m the same. I need a little bit more weight because that is what I am accustomed to.
@2HEX
@2HEX Год назад
Its personal taste and preference. Some skaters skate better the lighter their board, others really like their board to be heavy and most people are somewhere in the middle. This truck is not for the mainstream skater, its for the niche that likes their boards as light as possible

Light is great of course, but it does make me question durability. But the main holdup for me is almost 100 bucks a set is pretty steep for a wholesale rate. I understand production costs. But consider this thought, I've been skating over 20 years and running a small skate brand of my own, and my mindset has always been if a company does OEM for EVERY skate product, they cant specialize in any one area. Meaning overall quality would be expected to just be "so-so" in comparison to lesser priced competitors that actually specialize in that market area. I'm just one guy of course, but I might suggest sending out a bunch of these in the field as promotion. If you really did create the lightest (yet well performing) truck, then the hype will catch on by word of mouth and other skater's socials. But skaters are notoriously poor so if you want to get the word out about this, that price tag will probably hold ya back quite a bit. LOVING the stock inverted kingpin option though and if you are ever looking for an honest review from a skateboarder that doesn't really care for any trucks on the market right now, I'd be happy to run a set thru the trials.
@2HEX
@2HEX Год назад
It's 60 USD per set in shops. Shops (wholesale) is a lot cheaper. On skate618.com one set is 60 USD with free shipping inside the U.S. I think. On worldshop.com one set is 47 USD and worldwide shipping is 28 USD. I think they will take off by themselves. We just recently started selling them.

This will probably get deleted, but this is a surfskate brand that's branched out into the street skate realm. They seem to have scanned and copied the tensors ATV models, and nass produce them. Anyone in the world can buy these at 600+ minimum orders. For about 99$ a set wholesale. I'll stick to American made, they forgot the truck divits that lock it in place.
@2HEX
@2HEX Год назад
duuuude, you are coming up with some twisted conspiracies. 🤣 Thanks for sharing them with us though haha. I had a good time reading your comment. Ok, lets just imagine you are serious and not trolling and you just fell down a deep rabbit hole, then this would be our answers: 1. We are a skateboard manufacturer that also branched out into surf skates. (You were close, but a bit twisted) 2. The 2HEX Lunar Lights Titanium & Magnesium double hollow are the world's lightest professional skateboard trucks. If we had scanned and copied any existing truck, then we wouldn't have the world's lightest truck now. 3. 600+ MOQ is correct! We are first a skateboard manufacturer and second a distributor of our own brand. So we also manufacture the trucks for many other pro truck companies. 4. 99$: Way too expensive. If you would run your own production of magnesium trucks at 2HEX, the production price would be around 9 USD / truck or 18 USD / set. Not 99. 5. Wholesale: We only sell 2HEX trucks on wholesale with no MOQ. The 600 trucks you were referring to a custom productions for other companies, they a produced and not sold wholesale. 6. Trucks are held in place by nuts and bolts. The carved out areas you are referring to as divits are there to save on material and weight. We included a lot of them to bring the weight down to create the lightest truck. 7. America Made: Based on your writing style it seems to me that you had access to great education. So why would you want to compete for low paying factory jobs that require no education? You have the chance to become a white collar worker and get paid 5k/month. Why try and fight to bring back jobs paying 2k at most? If the US ever falls behind on education and development, then the low-end jobs will come back faster than you can think. These are the left-over jobs. Not the jobs you compete for. I hope to hear back from you ;-)

@Anonymous_________ Год назад
@@2HEX 2 you agree with me about. 2 where just your personal opinion, tensors truck divits help keep your trucks from shifting. The bolt get loose overtime. Professor Schmidt has talked about this also. And with one RU-vid video, compared to the 4-5 solid brands with skate teams. This is a gimmick, until proven otherwise. 🤡

Seems I hit a soft spot, you tried to get personal. 5k is just what I pay in rent alone, for the place im at now. I know it might be hard, let's try to stay on topic. A little maturity, goes a long way in this world.

@@Anonymous_________ sorry, i don't understand what you are referring to. where do we agree, and what is just my personal opinion? so far its not even a gimmick haha so far they are just a one-off proof of concept.
