I’m so excited, I’m 63 and will be going to the Grand Canyon for the first time next year! I can say we will not be taking that amazing hike so thank you for taking us along on yours. What a great weekend you had!
What a wonderful thing to do for an old friend. The grand canyon never gets old. I'm sure it will take my breath away when I first see it in real life. Cheers 😙🥂😘
Awesome video like always, I love the scenery, I am a bird photographer and I really enjoy the sound of birds, Northern Flicker in your video at the 9:34 min, keep up with the awesome content 🐦👍🤗
When we walked the Camino de Portugues, we LOVED the Tortillas...ate them everyday and still haven't perfected the home made one yet. They were great pack for lunch.
What a wonderful experience for both of you. Glad you got to take him to the Grand Canyon. Congratulations on doing so well on the hike. Wonderful video.
That was such a wonderful, touching and beautiful video. Glad you were able to not only see and spend time with Pablo, but that he was able to have such a memorable experience of the US during his time here and with you two!
A good park to go to. We hope to make it to the Grand Canyon one day. That hike was intense. Plus the 110 degree heat. But, don’t they say, “it is a dry heat”. 😜🤪😜🤪. Enjoyed the company/visitor you had.
Oh how I LOVE La Tortilla Espanola (I make a pretty mean one) , I actually learned it from one of my dear friends that you have always reminded me of already, but she too lived in Spain for a year in college. I haven't made one in years....guess I'll be whipping one up this weekend....yum!
We did,the hike about 25 years ago, all the way to,the bottom. We went down South Kaibab, spent the night camped at Phantom Ranch, and the next day started back,up. We came up Bright Angel, camped at Indian Gardens, and then to the top. Interestingly enough, it was 110 at the bottom, and snowing on top when we got there. It’s a grueling hike, and about the only advice I can offer is to take more water than you think you will need. My wife said she would do it again, but as Clint Eastwood said, “a man’s got to know his limitations”.
Awesome. I also learned Spanish in Spain at 19! Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. Is this unlisted on purpose? Our new van is almost done. Who knew all that Spanish study would be so great for RVing in Mexico.
That’s an extremely difficult hike. They made it look easy in that heat :) I went in the early Spring. Cold at night camping but lots cooler during the day. ♥️Grand Canyon.
That hike always sounds and looks so brutal. Good for you three to do it! I can’t believe you cooked dinner after that - we would have had an apple or cheese & crackers 🤣 Your energy!!
