I don't know what this kind of writing/situation is called but Friends was so good at it: Taking a situation and using dialogue you would use in another situation: This scene is one confronting the other about having an affair, Joey asking Chandler if Kips was a better roommate or Ross trying to convince Monica to buy cookies like a drug dealer trying to woo a new customer. So funny!!
