Thirty years ago, Niki Lauda told us ‘take a monkey, place him into the cockpit and he is able to drive the car.’ Thirty years later, Sebastian told us ‘I had to start my car like a computer, it’s very complicated.’ And Nico Rosberg said that during the race. I don’t remember what race , he pressed the wrong button on the wheel. Question for you both, is Formula One driving today too complicated with twenty and more buttons on the wheel, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future concerning the technical programme during the race? Less buttons, more? Or less and more communication with your engineers?
I’m sure you could be.These guys aren’t all particularly academically gifted but it comes down to practice, muscle memory and a passion to improve …. and a lot of money.
@@AJzilllaProso what is the path for getting into F1? I know it starts with karting but is there a particular karting league to go to? And do you have to move to Europe or can you start out anywhere in the world?
@@ShawnFX I think you can start off anywhere in the world really as long as you get a good feel for karting and are putting in good lap times in your league. Then move onto more well known karting leagues and tournaments to get recognised I suppose.Yes, in Europe it does seem like that is where a lot of the opportunities arise.
@@AJzilllaPro thank you for the input man I appreciate it! I'm too old (currently 25) to try get into racing myself but when I have kids I'll definitely try to steer them to get into racing.
The clutch paddle is used when moving from a stop (race start, pit stop) and sometimes when going into reverse. Otherwise, the clutch is operated automatically when shifting gears.
In a typical manual car you have a clutch pedal that you must depress in order to shift gears. However, with a sequential gearbox like one in an F1 car the clutch is mostly for starts.
I battle to talk sense to my laptop sitting still & I only have a simple flat keyboard to deal with! This thing is double sided & has a zillion functions that need to be dealt with at up to 300kph around corners whilst racing other drivers ciddling with similar crazy stuff!!! 😮 No wonder i love F1!!!😂🎉❤
